Chapter 10: A Talk on the Prison

Chapter 10: A Talk on the Heavenly Prison

Concubine An was lying on the bed, thinking about random things. Her whole body was tense. The room was very quiet, which made it easier for people with their eyes closed to hear. She felt that the emperor seemed to have put down the book and was walking towards the bed. This feeling almost stopped Concubine An's breathing. Please remember me

Just as Concubine An felt, Qianhe Liyou was already standing in front of the window, looking at the beautiful scenery before her, but she was indifferent. As for this, it can only be said that she is not lustful.

"Go to sleep." Qian Heliyou said as he pulled up the quilt beside him and gently covered Concubine An's body. Then he turned back to the table and continued reading. This boy was so stupid that he kept talking and moving by himself.

On the other side of the bed, Concubine An suddenly opened her eyes, then closed them in panic when she thought of the emperor's order. Her heart could no longer calm down. Did the emperor mean what he thought? This was too unbelievable.

Concubine An's mind was in a state of confusion and complexity. She dared not make any unnecessary movements while lying in bed. She kept thinking about all the horrible things that had happened in the past, and then she imagined what the Emperor would do next. Sometimes she trembled with fear, and sometimes she wanted to open her eyes out of curiosity. She tossed and turned like this until midnight before she slowly fell asleep.

"Your Majesty, aren't you going to rest?" It was late at night, but the emperor had no intention of going to sleep, and the queen was still kneeling outside the door. Feng Ying asked hesitantly. There had been a lot of things going on in the past few days, and the emperor had been much quieter.

"You all go down."

"Yes." Feng Ying dismissed several palace servants, but she still stood at the door to serve the emperor. Not far away was the kneeling queen. Her face could not be seen, nor her expression, but from her trembling body, it could be seen that the queen was not having a good time either.

Alas, everyone knows the emperor's character. He has never been a caring person. So why should he do this? Feng Ying sighed slightly in her heart.

It was past midnight when Qianhe Liyou put down the book in her hand. Although she was not sleepy, she did not want to sit there all night. After thinking about it, she walked to the bed, carried the already asleep Concubine An into the bed, and lay down on the outside with her clothes on. Even though there was no touching, such intimacy was rare for her because she was too sensitive to human smell. If it was someone she didn't like, she would never allow that person to be so close to her.

The man's scent was light and a little sweet, but she didn't mind it.

The next day, Qian Heliyou got up before dawn and walked straight out the door. As expected, Luo Weiqing was still kneeling there.

"No one can force me to do anything I don't want to do. Do you think kneeling here will really help? I will feel sorry for you, right?" Qian Heliyou's cold tone carried a hint of anger. Such a stubborn person really made her feel a little angry.

"Your Majesty, cough, cough. I dare not. I will just do my best and leave the rest to fate." The weak voice mixed with coughing was still so firm. He had been kneeling for a day and a night and his whole body was numb. He didn't know how long he could hold on, but he would not give up.

"Okay, very good." Qianhe Liyou was also surprised at Luo Weiqing's stubbornness. His anger gradually subsided, but he was still unwilling to agree to his request. He just said two "OK" in a daze and left the bedroom.

"Your Majesty." Feng Ying heard his subordinates report that the emperor had gotten up, so she hurried over and followed the emperor with some confusion. Where was he going in this direction?

"Go to the Heavenly Prison." Although she didn't agree, her mind had changed. She wanted to go see that man and also planned to give that man one last chance to beg her. This could be considered as what Luo Weiqing had asked for.

The Sky Prison in the palace was located in the north. Qianhe Liyou arrived there after walking for a quarter of an hour. He passed the surprised guards and asked someone to bring Situ Hongyu up.

"Your Majesty, you are finally here." Situ Hongyu was dressed in a white prison uniform. When he saw the emperor, he was already in tears. His once charming face was now haggard and pale.

"All of you go down." Qian Heliyou sent everyone away.

"Si Tu Hongyu, I'm here to give you one last chance. You can say whatever you want to say now. If you convince me, you and your child will have a chance to survive. If you can't convince me, you can only take your child with you." If he could really give herself a reason, she wouldn't have to kill them.

"Your Majesty, you are truly heartless. There are some things that I say that you will not believe, but I really did not know that my mother would start a rebellion. Although I hope that my family will prosper, I have never thought of replacing you, the emperor."

"Enough, this is not what I want to hear. If you have nothing else to say, I'll leave." Qianhe Liyou interrupted Situ Hongyu. This was not what she wanted to hear now.

A look of panic appeared on Situ Hongyu's face, and he said anxiously: "Your Majesty, I will not say these. I just want to tell Your Majesty that I am devoted to You. Now I dare not ask for much. I only hope that Your Majesty can remember our past friendship and let me give birth to this child. No matter how many faults I have, the child in my belly is your own flesh and blood after all." In this situation, he really didn't dare to ask for anything. He only hoped that his child could be born safely, and he would be satisfied.

"I don't want this child. This child means nothing to me." Such a plea alone would not be enough to convince her.

"Your Majesty, are you punishing me? I have nothing left but this child. This is your child, how can you say it is meaningless? Your Majesty, I beg you to keep this child. This child is innocent. He is just a poor little life that is destined to lose his father before he can even make a sound. Can't you tolerate your own child?"

"You also know that he is destined to be unhappy, so why did you give birth to him?"

"No, I don't know. I only know that this child has the right to be born. I have done many wrong things in the past. Those innocent lives were lost because of me. I have committed heinous crimes. I am not a human being at all. Now I know I was wrong. I know this is the so-called retribution, but it’s better that this retribution should be paid to me. I only hope that this child can be born safely. Your Majesty, you promised me before. You said that you would satisfy my request as long as you could do it. Moreover, you did not give me a gift on my birthday this year. You also said at that time that this gift was a promise. You would give it to me whenever I thought of you. I have nothing else to ask for now. I only hope that you can keep your promise and let this child be born. No matter whether this child will suffer or be happy in the future, I have done what I should do as a father." Situ Hongyu became more and more excited as he spoke, and his tears flowed uncontrollably all over his face.

He didn't know what to say to impress the emperor, he only knew to beg. For the sake of the child in his belly, he really hoped to keep the child.

Qianhe Liyou looked at the man in front of him who was crying ugly, and suddenly reached out to touch the man's messy hair, then as if realizing what he had done, he withdrew his hand in surprise.

"I agree. You can give birth to this child." She remembered those promises and saw the miserable appearance of this man. She knew his sincerity, especially when she thought of the words of the Queen. This child still meant nothing to her. She was not looking forward to the birth of this child. On the other hand, she was not averse to the birth of this child. She would just regard it as a compensation for the past, a farewell to the past, and repaying this relationship that should not be considered a debt, and keeping this child.

"Thank you so much, Your Majesty. Thank you, Your Majesty. I just knew it, I just knew it."

Qianhe Liyou didn't want to hear what Situ Hongyu said afterwards, so she got up and left the prison. The prison was dark and not suitable for childbirth, so she asked Feng Ying to bring Situ Hongyu out and placed him in the cold palace.

After leaving the Heavenly Prison, Qianhe Liyou walked towards his own bedroom. Luo Weiqing should still be kneeling there. That man was really stubborn.
