Chapter Twelve: The Honey Trap

"Stop! Stop!"

"They destroyed the food supplies; we must not let them escape!"

Hundreds of men, women, and children, armed with all sorts of cold weapons, surrounded and intercepted them from multiple directions.

Li Tianyi's face was grim. He fired a shot behind him, and two middle-aged men fell to the ground.

The others, however, were not afraid and charged forward with shouts.

Li Tianyi quickly fired a magazine, then shouted as he reloaded, "Faster!"

"The fastest!" Su Wanruo looked at the approaching crowd, a bold idea flashed through her mind, and she turned the motorcycle horizontally at a 45-degree angle.

Li Tianyi lost his balance and clung tightly to Su Wanru.

She frowned.

Bang bang bang!

Several guards at the town gate were killed, and the motorcycle slid at an angle, sparks flying everywhere.

"Jump out of the car!" Su Wanruo shouted.

Li Tianyi put most of his strength into the soles of his feet, held Su Wanruo tightly, and shouted, "Let go!"

Without hesitation, she released her grip on the handle, trying her best to exert no force on herself.

At the same time, Li Tianyi pedaled hard, and the motorcycle crashed into the gate.

Boom! Thud!

The towering flames temporarily halted the enemy's advance.

"Are you alright?" Li Tianyi carried her through the gate.

"It's nothing!" Su Wanruo felt a strange, inexplicable feeling.

roar……

"Oh no, it's a horde of monsters!" Li Tianyi put Su Wanruo down, his expression grave. "Enemies behind us, monsters ahead, which way should we escape to?"

Su Wanru thought for a moment, "Let's go to the post office!"

"Okay, stay close!"

The two rushed in the southwest direction...

As the monsters chased after them, they smelled a strong stench of blood, and most of them rushed toward the town office building, amidst screams, wails, and cries of despair.

This also proves the old saying: harming others will ultimately harm oneself!

After running all the way, Li Tianyi and Su Wanruo were less than two hundred meters away from the post office.

A large number of monsters are roaming ahead.

Gesture: It seems this place has fallen.

Su Wanruo nodded, then shook her head, pointing to the mail truck in front of the post office.

Li Tianyi then realized that she had brought him here so that she could use the mail truck to escape.

Just as the two were about to make their move, they heard a faint sound behind them.

"Sister Wanruo, it's me!" The newcomer was a young woman, quite attractive. "I can get that car!"

"Xiangxiang?" Su Wanruo's eyes flashed with surprise. She patted her excitedly and asked, "Where are the others?"

"They're all dead! They're all dead!" Xiangxiang said, her voice low and her eyes red.

From the moment they began their conversation, Li Tianyi hadn't looked at the two of them, remaining constantly on guard against the monster's movements. Suddenly, he spoke up: "Hold your breath!"

A rotting, bloated monster was moving toward the alleyway entrance.

As it drew closer, the three prepared to attack, but the monster suddenly turned around and headed back the way it had come.

Li Tianyi let out a long breath and gestured: You guys stay here, I'll go get the car.

Xiangxiang shook her head and gestured: Oh my god!

Before they could react, Xiangxiang had already dashed several meters away.

The two could only wait where they were.

Despite her slender build, Xiangxiang was incredibly fast, closing the distance to the mail truck's cab to less than two meters.

Li Tianyi quickly pulled Su Wanruo towards the street corner.

Whoosh, hiss!

As soon as the car started, the wandering monsters turned around and pounced on it.

Xiangxiang jerked the steering wheel and shouted, "Come here quickly!"

Su Wanruo wasn't running fast enough, so Li Tianyi simply picked her up in a princess carry and rushed towards the mail truck.

When Xiangxiang arrived, she didn't turn off the engine, but only slowed down and opened the passenger door.

Li Tianyi accelerated at full speed and sprinted onto the car.

As I closed the door, I caught a glimpse of a faint, wicked smile on Xiangxiang's lips out of the corner of my eye.

The situation was urgent, and there was no time to think it through. He told Su Wanruo to sit down and took out his .45 caliber pistol.

Two monsters climbing through the car window were shot in the head.

The roar of vehicles and the sound of gunfire attracted even more monsters.

"Charge!" Li Tianyi shouted in a cold voice.

Xiangxiang immediately accelerated and charged towards the group of monsters.

Bang, click...

Despite suffering heavy casualties, the monsters did not stop their pursuit.

"There are so many monsters around here, what should we do?" Su Wanruo was a little panicked.

Xiangxiang glanced at the rearview mirror, then suddenly shifted into reverse. "To the neighborhood committee!"

A look of doubt flashed across Li Tianyi's eyes, and a sense of vigilance arose in his heart. His left hand had already reached for Po Jun.

Xiangxiang made several sharp turns, and Li Tianyi and Su Wanruo almost crashed into the windshield.

"Hold on tight!"

The car changed direction even faster, crushing a large number of monsters and shaking off the monsters that were clinging to the roof and rear of the car.

Su Wanru patted her wildly beating heart and said, "I didn't expect you to be such a good driver!"

Xiangxiang smiled smugly.

On the surface, Li Tianyi didn't seem to pay attention to her, but in reality, he was watching her closely at all times. If she dared to do anything rash, he would take her into custody immediately.

The mail truck sped by, and we could barely make out the tallest building of the neighborhood committee.

A strange light flashed in Xiangxiang's eyes, and her left hand slowly reached for the small black dot on the inside of the steering wheel.

Just as she was about to press down, a large hand gripped her wrist tightly. "You really are something!"

"What are you doing?" Xiangxiang asked, her voice trembling with tears, feeling utterly aggrieved.

Li Tianyi sneered, his .45 caliber already pressed against her temple. "If you don't want to die, drive properly. If you dare to move, I'll blow you to bits."

Su Wanruo wanted to persuade them, but the scenes she had experienced in the past few days flashed through her mind, so she decided to wait and see.

"You're like a dog biting Lü Dongbin, not recognizing a kind heart! Waaah..." Xiangxiang was furious, and tears of grievance welled up in her eyes.

"Hmph!" Li Tianyi tightened his left hand, causing her to scream in pain. "Not bad acting! Should I give you a Best Villainous Supporting Actress Award?"

"You?" Xiangxiang's eyes were filled with hatred, then she suddenly burst into laughter. "No matter how well you acted, you still saw through me! But this is our territory now, do you think you can still get away? Hahaha..."

The car braked suddenly, and the three people crashed into the windshield.

Li Tianyi held on tightly to the seatbelt and leaned back with Su Wanruo in his arms, so he was not injured.

Xiangxiang, however, was in a terrible state, with a bloody head and a fractured right leg, constantly wailing in pain.

"Die!" A swift hand chop fell.

Xiangxiang immediately fell into a coma, and Li Tianyi quickly opened the driver's side door and threw her out.

laugh!

A sharp piece of wood pierced her abdomen. The excruciating pain woke her up. Blood was flowing from her seven orifices. She cried out incoherently, "Help, help, help me!"

A large number of survivors armed with various weapons rushed out from nearby, coming in a menacing manner.

Li Tianyi started the car, propped the accelerator with a wooden stick, and jumped out of the car with Su Wanruo in his arms.

The mail truck sped along.

Survivors who had no time to dodge were crushed.

Li Tianyi dragged Su Wanruo past Xiangxiang's location and said disdainfully, "You're still too green to try and set me up with a honey trap!"

Xiangxiang glared at them with resentment, coughing up large amounts of blood.

One of the survivors shouted, "They have food on them, grab it!"

The crowd charged forward even more frantically.

After running all the way, Su Wanruo's strength was completely exhausted. She couldn't even run while being pulled along. She smiled bitterly to herself and said, "Don't worry about me, you go!"

"If it weren't for you all these years, my sister and I would have died long ago." Li Tianyi picked her up and carried her on his back. "Don't worry, even if I die, I'll take you to a safe place!"

Su Wanruo gazed at the rapidly moving ground, her heart filled with emotion...
