Chapter 68 "The Air Is Dirty".

Chapter 68 "The Air Is Dirty".

Under the girl's shy gaze, Fang Qizhou lazily picked up his knife and fork and began cutting his steak.

In the performance area, a romantic confession is taking place.

The applause and shouts that rose and fell together attracted Zhu Fan's attention.

The man knelt on one knee, holding an Ecuadorian rose in one hand and a diamond ring box in the other.

"Zhong Fei, be with me, I really love you so much."

The violin music in the performance area stopped.

Zhu Fan then saw that familiar figure.

Fang Qizhou glanced at Zhu Fan in the direction of her gaze, then lazily looked away and continued cutting the steak into pieces.

He blew on the steak on his fork to cool it down and then brought it to Zhu Fan's lips.

Zhu Fan lowered her head and bit down.

She squinted her eyes, enjoying the delicious food.

The girl's delicate features were softened by the lighting, and she turned her gaze away from the performance area.

Fang Qizhou's dark eyes were deep and calm as he wiped away the sauce that had accidentally gotten on the girl's lips.

Zhu Fan focused on eating his meal.

Performance area.

Zhong Fei lowered her eyelids and said, "I'm sorry, I already have someone I like."

The man stubbornly knelt on one knee, saying, "If you lack money, I can give you money; if you lack love, I can give you endless love."

"Why can't you try to like me and accept me?"

Zhong Fei bent down, gazing at the man and girl sitting by the huge French window. Her voice was soft, but the smile on her lips was gentle.

She pulled the man up, and under his expectant gaze, she slowly opened her lips: "If you embarrass me again in my workplace, I will never see you again."

"You can leave the restaurant now. I'll come find you after I finish work."

The man left the flowers and the ring, gazing at her tenderly and obsessively: "Feifei, I'll wait for your call."

Zhu Fan received a message on her phone from her mother asking if she had come home.

After replying to the message, she put down her phone. "Fang Qizhou, get up. I need to go to the restroom."

Fang Qizhou looked down at her.

Zhu Fan took a sanitary napkin from her bag and stuffed it into Fang Qizhou's black windbreaker.

Fang Qizhou stood up.

Zhu Fan pressed him down to sit, saying, "I'll go by myself, I don't need you to come with me."

"I'll be back soon."

The girl walked briskly, a faint smile on her lips, glancing back at him every now and then.

Fang Qizhou only looked away after the girl's figure disappeared from sight.

He looked down and fiddled with his phone.

Zhong Fei wore high heels, her skirt revealing glimpses of her leg lines, and every step she took was light and elegant.

She sat down in front of Fang Qizhou.

The man didn't even look up.

Zhong Fei's gaze fell on the man's phone screen.

Seeing the lipstick search terms on her phone, she rested her chin on her hand and said, "You're so good to your girlfriend."

"This La Mer lip gloss is great."

Fang Qizhou raised his eyes, his dark eyes cold and disdainful, devoid of emotion.

Zhong Fei stared at the face she had longed for day and night, almost in a daze.

She leaned forward towards him unconsciously, "I—"

The woman's perfume carried away the faint, sweet scent that Zhu Fan had left in the air.

Fang Qizhou coldly interrupted her, "Get out."

A faint smile appeared on Zhong Fei's lips. "I've come to surrender."

"I know that you are wary of me and don't trust me because I was sent to Yueyuan by Leng Qiyi."

“For the past three years, I have returned to China once a month to provide psychological counseling for Aunt Xin. You have turned a blind eye to this only because Aunt Xin is close to me and willing to interact with me. And I have never hurt Aunt Xin.”

The summer after Zhong Fei finished her college entrance exams, her father was diagnosed with terminal cancer.

To pay for the exorbitant surgery fee, the older brother became a ghostwriter in a privately organized car race.

The money wouldn't arrive until after the competition ended; the older brother had borrowed money at exorbitant interest rates to pay for their father's surgery.

But during that race, the car was tampered with, and my brother was burned alive inside the car along with the car.

My father's surgery also failed.

When she was scrambling to raise money to pay off her debts, Leng Qiyi found her. She promised to pay off her debts for her, in exchange for her obedience.

Leng Qiyi presented her with the identity of a violin prodigy, a mother with a PhD in psychology, and a father who was a well-known professor in academia.

To Zhong Fei's surprise, she encountered the man she had met once at her brother's racing club when she was 13 years old in Yueyuan, a man she had always kept in her heart.

She successfully entered Yueyuan Garden and won Luo Shuixin's favor and affection.

Fang Qizhou tapped the table impatiently with his fingertips.

Meeting the man's cold, impatient, and ruthless dark eyes, she felt a tightness and pain in her chest.

Zhong Fei's fingers tightened slightly, and she lowered her eyes and said softly, "I have videos of Leng Qiyi deliberately going to Yueyuan to provoke Aunt Luo, as well as videos of her meeting a young man at a hotel."

Out of the corner of her eye, she caught sight of Zhu Fan returning. She deliberately leaned closer to the man, her voice low and soft.

"I can give you anything you need."

From a distance, the two sat facing each other, whispering to each other, their intimacy evident in their demeanor.

The steak knife in Fang Qizhou's hand gleamed coldly as it pressed against the woman's carotid artery.

With each step Zhong Fei took closer, the blade pierced deeper into her skin.

She approached the man's body and suddenly stopped.

Zhong Fei blinked, and in the man's cold, violent black eyes, she felt as if her senses were being drowned by seawater, her whole body suffocated by cold.

Zhong Fei raised her hand to cover the blood flowing down her neck.

The tyranny and coldness in Fang Qizhou's eyes faded completely when he met Zhu Fan's gaze.

Zhu Fan only had time to see Zhong Fei in high heels before hurriedly leaving their table.

Fang Qizhou picked up Zhu Fan's bag and wrapped his long arm around the girl's waist.

Zhu Fan was a little confused. "Were you guys just chatting?"

Fang Qizhou lowered his eyes and asked her, "She was so close to me just now, were you angry?"

Zhu Fan shook his head.

There's nothing to be angry about when you run into an acquaintance, greet them, and chat.

From behind, she could see that the two were in a somewhat intimate position, but Fang Qizhou immediately distanced himself from the conversation.

Zhu Fan smiled slightly: "Fang Qizhou, I trust you completely, I won't get jealous for no reason."

Fang Qizhou smiled and said, "I would be even happier if you said you were jealous."

Zhu Fan nudged him with her elbow, "What's wrong with you?"

She asked him, "Have you eaten?"

Fang Qizhou shook his head.

Zhu Fan pulled him to a stop.

If you're not full, go back and eat some more.

There's still a lot of food left on the table.

"Let's go somewhere else."

Zhu Fan tilted his head. "Why?"

Fang Qizhou's expression turned cold. "The air is polluted."

Zhu Fan noticed Fang Qizhou's displeasure and followed him outside.

She stopped abruptly in her tracks. "I haven't paid yet."

Fang Qizhou hooked his arm around her waist and said, "I've already bought it."

Zhu Fan blinked. "It's a promise that I'll treat you to dinner."

"Do you have to be so clear about things with me?"

Zhu Fan poked his lips with her index finger. "Fang Qizhou, you look better when you smile."

Fang Qizhou smiled as the girl's fingers touched his lips.

-

Zhu Fan pulled Fang Qizhou down to the first floor.

There is a very beautiful coffee shop on the first floor.

On the way, Fang Qizhou received a call from a delivery person, saying he needed to pick up something.

Zhu Fan flipped through the menu and ordered a rose apple tart and a poisoned apple cake.

I was also drawn to the apple-flavored cocktail in the picture.

When the desserts and drinks arrived, Zhu Fan was amazed by how beautiful they were.

When Fang Qizhou came in, Zhu Fan was just finding the right angle to take pictures of the desserts and drinks.

The man was bathed in the coolness of the night.

Zhu Fan pulled Fang Qizhou to sit down and fed him a spoonful of cake.

She wiped the cream off Fang Qizhou's lips and smiled, "I just fed you a poisoned apple."

Fang Qizhou chuckled softly, pinched the girl's chin, and kissed her deeply on the lips.

Zhu Fan nudged him with her elbow, and the man's long fingers pinched her lips so hard they pouted.

She tried to bump her head against Fang Qizhou's chest, but the man pulled her onto his lap and made her sit down.

Zhu Fan blushed.

Fang Qizhou held her close, his voice low and deep: "Don't twist around."

The pink lip gloss on the man's fingertip was twisted open.

Zhu Fan then realized that Fang Qizhou had just gone to buy her lipstick.

Fang Qizhou's movements as he applied lipstick were very clumsy.

Zhu Fan smiled and said he would do it himself.

Fang Qizhou held her in his arms, preventing her from moving.

After applying lip gloss, my lips felt moisturized, sweet and fragrant, and had a cool minty scent.
