Chapter 10: The Best Friend is Actually the Male Lead's Biological Mother?

While Shen Linyue was snacking and watching TV in the living room, the housekeeper received a phone call from an unknown number and hurriedly prepared to leave.

"Uncle Xiao, what happened?" she asked promptly.

Just now, Shen Linyue noticed that the housekeeper's expression changed after answering a phone call. During the call, she heard him mention a teacher and immediately go to deal with it. Shen Linyue guessed that something might have happened to He Xiao at school.

The butler stopped and looked at her without hiding anything: "Young Master has had some trouble at school, and I have to go take care of it. I'm sorry, Miss Lin Yue, you'll have to stay home alone for a while."

Shen Linyue had already put down the snacks and stood up, her small face full of solemnity: "Let's go take a look, we'll talk as we walk."

The butler was taken aback. "Oh? Are you going?"

“Yes, since his father isn’t home, I’m his family. I have to go.” Shen Linyue’s expression left no room for refusal. “How badly is He Xiao injured?”

The only thing she could think of was that He Xiao had lost the fight and injured himself, otherwise why would the butler be in such a hurry?

The butler snapped out of his daze and, upon hearing the next sentence, his serious expression softened.

"You're right, but it's not that the young master is injured." He gave a helpless and bitter smile.

Shen Linyue paused, "Huh? So your eldest son beat someone up?"

Wouldn't that make things even more serious?

"Um...did you notify He Xiao's father?" What if that person tries to extort money from you?

She had seen many similar cases, but compensation should be paid, after all, they were her own children and she couldn't just ignore them.

However, the issue of compensation still needs to be addressed by He Xiao's father, since she is a poor woman.

"I tried, but the call didn't go through. The gentleman is probably still busy right now."

Shen Linyue's small face was solemn: "Alright, let's go see what's going on."

He Xiao is indeed impulsive, but he would never get so angry as to resort to violence unless provoked.

Jiang Zhixing last night was an isolated case; the fact that He Xiao didn't make a move despite his provocation is good evidence.

Shen Linyue was willing to believe in her eldest son.

...

With a heavy heart, Shen Linyue and the butler arrived at He Xiao's school.

Even though I was feeling anxious, I couldn't help but exclaim in amazement when I saw the school my eldest son attended.

Goodness, no wonder it's Taipei's top private elite school; its exterior is so luxurious, it looks just like a grand European castle.

It's class time now, and there's not much of a person outside. I followed the butler to one of the buildings and went up to the fourth floor to reach the office.

As soon as she reached the door, Shen Linyue spotted He Xiao standing casually against the wall, looking completely unserious. Her gaze swept over him, finally settling on the bruises on the corner of his mouth.

He was injured.

Sitting diagonally opposite He Xiao was a woman in a white dress, adorned with jewelry, exuding an air of elegance and nobility. Unlike the other teachers in the classroom who were dressed in professional attire, this woman was likely a parent.

It's very likely the parent of the student who fought with He Xiao.

Because it was behind her back, she didn't see it clearly at first glance.

However, I had a good first impression of this rational parent.

Fortunately, she wasn't the type to start crying and making a scene right away, otherwise she really wouldn't be able to handle it.

The office door was ajar, and the housekeeper knocked politely, "Teacher Zhao."

The butler's voice successfully drew the attention of everyone in the office, except for Shen Linyue, who was standing behind the butler.

"Are you He Xiao's parent?" The middle-aged, balding teacher, Mr. Zhao, had already stood up to greet him.

The butler first glanced at his young master, then said to Teacher Zhao, "Yes, you can tell me if you have anything to say, and I will go back and pass it on to his father."

Teacher Zhao didn't ask for too much information, and said with a smile, "Okay, okay, please come and sit down, and let me know what's going on."

The thought that neither the He family nor the Jiang family were ordinary families made Teacher Zhao feel even more pressured.

How could these two students in his class, who are completely unrelated, suddenly start fighting?

Then, Teacher Zhao introduced the identity of the other lady in white to the housekeeper.

After the butler went inside, He Xiao also saw Shen Linyue, and his gaze immediately changed.

He, who had been standing loosely, instantly stood up straight, his brows furrowed. "Why did you come along too?"

Shen Linyue ignored what was being said over there and walked straight toward He Xiao: "Of course I'm coming over, I'm your aunt."

As she spoke, her gaze fell on the wound on the corner of his lip: "What happened? Why did you get into a fight with your classmate?"

Shen Linyue still believed in him.

Hearing this, He Xiao's lips curled into an indifferent smile: "What else can happen? Just as you see."

That's right, he beat up Jiang Zhixing. He'd put up with him for far too long. This guy always acted like a jerk in front of him, and today was no exception.

It seemed he was looking for a beating, as if he couldn't stand not seeing He Xiao's angry yet helpless expression, so he granted his wish.

He felt great after beating the person up, and of course, he didn't think about the consequences.

Seeing that Shen Linyue was still stubbornly staring at him demanding an answer, He Xiao gave a wicked smile: "I've always been this kind of person, aren't you disappointed?"

Shen Linyue became dissatisfied with his words and slapped his arm: "Don't underestimate yourself. If you really are, then I'd be homeless and wandering the streets right now."

Having his arm slapped again, He Xiao's expression went blank. He quickly raised an eyebrow, curled the corners of his mouth, and asked her in a boastful tone, "You trust me that much?"

Ms. Zhao, who was introducing another parent to the housekeeper, also noticed Shen Linyue's presence, paused for a moment, and looked at the housekeeper to ask, "And who is this?"

The butler naturally noticed the friendly interaction between Miss Lin Yue and Young Master He Xiao, and was deeply moved.

Miss Lin Yue is the first person to soften the young master's heart, without exception.

"Yes, this is the young master's aunt."

Teacher Zhao was slightly taken aback. This aunt was so young?

However, the affairs of the wealthy were none of his business, so he nodded and continued to recount the cause and course of events.

The woman in white naturally heard what the butler said, and a hint of doubt flashed in her naturally melancholy eyes as she looked at the girl standing in front of He Xiao with her back to her.

They look familiar, but I can't quite place where I've seen them before.

This is the aunt that Ah Xing mentioned last night, the one who suddenly appeared out of nowhere to claim kinship with He Xiao.

She was so familiar with the Shen and He families that she had never heard of He Xiao having such a young aunt. Last night, she comforted him, saying that A-Xing must have misheard.

Now, hearing the term "aunt" directly from the housekeeper's mouth, I couldn't help but be surprised.

Where did the relatives who passed Hejiaming Road come from?

"I am Jiang Zhixing's mother, hello." She didn't pay much attention to Shen Linyue; she would go back and have someone investigate this person thoroughly.

Shen Linyue froze on the spot upon hearing the familiar voice. Even though many years had passed and her former friend had become a middle-aged man with some changes in his voice, she still recognized the voice immediately.

It was her best friend, Jiang Yanxin.

She's actually the male lead Jiang Zhixing's mother?!
