Chapter 116 Mother

Xu Hao is cunning, or you could say that the people behind him are cunning.

Besides Jiang Zhixing, who was cunning, He Xiao couldn't think of anyone else.

Following the address given by Xu Hao, he rode his bike, turning left and right through the narrow streets, and finally stopped in front of a coffee shop located deep in an alley.

After glancing around at the unassuming coffee shop, He Xiao didn't rush in. Instead, he sent the address to his bodyguard.

As far as he knew, although Xu Hao's family couldn't even make it into the top 100 in Beijing, they were still considered to have some money.

He must have gone to great lengths to find this coffee shop in such a remote and impoverished area, or perhaps he was deliberately lured here to do something.

He stood there for a full five minutes, his mind replaying Lin Yue's panicked expression and the meaning of the phone call Lao He had made before he left. After much deliberation, he finally stepped inside.

Since he was already there, and his bodyguards were waiting outside, he was determined to find out what tricks Xu Hao was up to.

He couldn't possibly be afraid of Xu Hao.

The coffee shop was small but had everything you needed. Soft music filled the air. There were very few customers inside, and even though the lighting was dim, He Xiao could still spot Xu Hao sitting in the far corner at a glance.

When he saw him, he was so startled that his back straightened instantly, but he pretended to be relaxed and greeted him with a fake smile.

"He, please sit down." He stood up to greet him, nervously pointing to the chair opposite him.

He Xiao took in his reaction, and his suspicions were confirmed: the other party's motives were indeed impure.

Perhaps Xu Hao himself didn't realize that when he was nervous, his other hand, which was resting on his leg, would unconsciously rub his trouser leg, as if to say that his purpose was not just to have a coffee and say a few words.

He Xiao curled his lips, a cold glint in his eyes.

He sat down casually, his two long legs bent slightly in a somewhat aggrieved manner. Not wanting to waste time, he interrupted the other person and asked about his tastes bluntly.

"Don't try anything funny, just give me the evidence now. My time is precious." He touched the voice recorder in his pocket, and his gloomy mood improved slightly.

Xu Hao felt even more pressured under his intense gaze, his legs trembled uncontrollably, and his smile was more like a grimace: "It's possible, but I'm also afraid of being discovered. I've put it somewhere else. Will you come with me?"

He Xiao frowned, his dark, wolf-like eyes fixed on Xu Hao. After a long while, he curled his lips into a sneer and said sarcastically, "Why did you insist on making me go all the way when it could have been explained in just a few words? Were you lying in ambush on the way? Heh."

Xu Hao's pupils widened, his eyes filled with terror: "No, I didn't! I really did collect all the evidence and put it at my cousin's house!"

Time seemed to stand still between the two of them. Neither of them spoke, except for Xu Hao, who was covered in cold sweat, breathing rapidly, and with numb eyes.

This is someone who can't keep a secret at all. He Xiao seriously doubted Jiang Zhixing's judgment of people. How could he hire such a person to work for him?

He began to despise Jiang Zhixing; Xu Hao was practically the most indelible stain on his life, something he could use to mock him later. :)

"Okay, take me there," he said casually, putting his phone in his pocket.

The moment the screen lit up, it was the bodyguard telling him that their people had arrived.

...

The alley is deep, and even in broad daylight, it is pitch black and extremely cool. If it weren't for the various unpleasant smells permeating the air, it might be a summer resort.

He Xiao couldn't quite recall how the two sides clashed.

The dimly lit place was perfect for hiding people. After a dozen or so strong thugs jumped out, Xu Hao disappeared without a trace.

He Xiao frowned. This time he was certain that Xu Hao was really stupid. He dared to have people surround him in broad daylight. Did he think that Xu Hao couldn't possibly get out alive, or was he challenging the high-definition capabilities of the Sky Eye?

His doubts didn't last long before the thugs wielding iron bars charged at him recklessly. Even with five bodyguards protecting him, he couldn't withstand the overwhelming numbers and was quickly separated from them.

He Xiao only needed to deal with two people, but unfortunately, they were armed, and he was easily at a disadvantage since he was unarmed.

He dodged and weaved, trying to figure out a way to break the deadlock. He swept his leg and knocked one person down. He then kicked the opponent's lower body hard. Almost at the same time, the opponent screamed in agony. The scene fell silent for a moment. But then He Xiao added another kick, crushing his arm.

The iron rod fell off, and He Xiao quickly bent down to pick it up. The situation had turned around, and he didn't hesitate to strike the other person.

With his speed and ferocity, after a month and a half of training, although his fighting style is still chaotic, he can catch his opponent off guard in critical moments.

After several encounters, he finally realized that his opponent was a real thug.

"You shameless! You're a man, how dare you kick me..." the other party said angrily.

He Xiao smiled and said, "That's called 'all's fair in war,' hehe."

Enraged, the other person swung the stick with almost all their might, and He Xiao instinctively raised his hand to defend himself.

The next second, a hurried and terrified voice came from behind.

"Ah Xiao! Behind you!" The voice was broken and hysterical.

A sudden gust of wind swept through the air. He Xiao paused for a second before reacting quickly, but he was still a step too slow. He crouched down to dodge the two iron bars, but he hadn't anticipated that the two iron bars would collide and the other person would lose their grip.

A sharp "bang" rang out as it struck his forehead.

As warm blood dripped down, He Xiao felt dizzy for a moment. He saw many bodyguards rushing in, and the situation instantly reversed.

In a dizzying moment, he saw a petite figure rushing towards him without hesitation, followed by her voice breaking down.

Damn! I regret it. I should have brought ten bodyguards! He would have beaten these guys to a pulp!

Before he fainted, the boy's thoughts were simple and unpretentious.

"Ah Xiao! Ah Yue!" He Liyu was only one step slower than Shen Linyue.

Shen Linyue held the unconscious He Xiao, her whole body trembling, her eyes bloodshot, tears welling up in her eyes but not falling, her heart filled with rage. She still remembered Xu Hao hiding behind the trash can.

"Go catch him, behind the trash can!" After yelling, she looked at He Xiao, who was sleeping unconscious in her arms, and tears streamed down her face.

...

Several major events have recently occurred at the school. One of them is that He Xiao has successfully cleared his name. He did not cheat on the answers or bribe the teacher. He was framed by Xu Hao and someone from Class 5. Both of them have been expelled and their records have been marked with demerits.

Secondly, Xu Hao was not only expelled, but he was also taken away for investigation by Uncle Hat for intentional injury.

Thirdly, He Xiao hasn't been to school for a week; it's said he was hit on the head and it's quite serious.

He Xiao was unconscious for two days before waking up. This experience gradually restored the memories that He Xiao had forgotten. The most obvious symptom was that he would stare blankly at Shen Linyue from time to time.

Many people used to say that Lin Yue looked like his mother, but he couldn't remember what his biological mother looked like and scoffed at the claim.

Until he saw that face in his dream, more mature, gentle, and smiling than Lin Yue's, handing him a piece of apple.

"Ah, open your mouth." Lin Yue handed over a piece of apple.

The two faces seemed to overlap for a moment, and He Xiao blurted out in a daze, "Mom...?"
