Chapter 165 Caught in the Act

Jiang Yanxin's work negotiations went very smoothly.

As the story neared its end, Jiang Zhixing was still struggling with how to show his mother Jiang Jinyu's true colors.

Jiang Zhixing chatted and laughed with his partners as they walked out of the club, occasionally chiming in with a few words, until they reached the door of private room 3033.

Jiang Zhixing suddenly stopped and frowned: "I think I heard someone crying."

The partner also brought an assistant, who was taken aback upon hearing this. If you listen carefully, you can indeed hear faint sobs.

All eyes fell on the tightly closed door of the room. Jiang Yanxin, a seasoned veteran who knew all too well, and her business partner gave an awkward smile.

Jiang Yanxin said to the CEO of the business partner, "Mr. Zhang, I won't see you out. See you next time."

Mr. Zhang smiled and nodded, then looked away from Jiang Zhixing and teased, "Young Mr. Jiang is quite ambitious and still needs more experience."

Jiang Yanxin's smile froze, and she glanced at her son beside her, her brows furrowing slightly. She couldn't understand what was wrong with the child tonight.

"You're right, he's still young and has a lot to experience."

Mr. Zhang and his assistant left quickly, leaving only the mother and son behind.

Jiang Yanxin stopped smiling and looked at her son, who was much taller than her, with displeasure: "What's on your mind today? You seem distracted."

Jiang Zhixing paused, a different emotion appearing on his usually aloof face, as if he wanted to say something but hesitated.

Jiang Yanxin's brows furrowed slowly. "Tell me, what happened?"

She knew her son; he wouldn't do something like this without a reason.

Jiang Zhixing sighed, leaned down and whispered in her ear, "Did you know Uncle Jiang was here too?"

Jiang Yanxin's expression changed slightly upon hearing this, but she reacted quickly and managed to suppress her expression. She wanted to laugh but couldn't quite manage it.

"Ah Xing, don't talk nonsense," she said reluctantly.

Seeing his mother's reaction, Jiang Zhixing felt a little heavy-hearted.

"Mom, I should be the one you trust the most. I am your own son and I will never betray you." Jiang Zhixing showed a hurt expression.

Jiang Yanxin was indeed moved, but quickly regained her composure: "Of course I believe you, but this is not the place to talk about these things. I believe your Uncle Jiang. He may have come here just to relax."

Seeing that his mother remained obstinate, what else did Jiang Zhixing not understand?

He simply couldn't believe that his domineering mother was actually a love-obsessed person at heart.

This time, Jiang Zhixing didn't give his mother a chance to refuse. He reached out and opened the door to room 3033.

The room wasn't dark, but the sudden opening of the door startled the two people inside who were reluctant to part, treating the private room like a hotel.

The sobbing Jiang Zhixing heard was coming from the disheveled girl in Jiang Jinyu's arms.

The girl looks very young, around 20 years old, with a face full of collagen, pure and lovely, the kind of girl men want to protect.

Terrified, she buried herself in the man's arms, only her doe-like eyes peeking out as she fearfully looked at the two people outside the door.

"Sorry, wrong door. You... um? Uncle Jiang?" Jiang Zhixing's gaze swept quickly across the room, and he looked away when he saw the girl with her clothes half off. He was afraid of getting a sty, but the surprise and astonishment on his face still caught Jiang Jinyu's eye.

Jiang Jinyu's good time was interrupted, and before he could get angry, a familiar figure came into view. He was also startled. Thinking of his current awkward situation, he felt very embarrassed whether he pushed the woman off him or not.

"Ah Xing? What are you doing here?" Jiang Jinyu found his voice, his fox-like eyes showing signs of cracking. "Get out! Didn't your mother teach you to knock before opening the door?"

Jiang Zhixing was also taken aback; this was the first time Jiang Jinyu had spoken in such a stern and disgusted tone.

He pursed his lips, but didn't say anything.

Jiang Yanxin, who had been cowering behind him, spoke in a slightly trembling voice.

"Ayu, how could you say that about Axing?" Jiang Yanxin still wanted to escape, but this scene was completely unfolding before her eyes, and everything she had brainwashed could no longer hold true, shattering completely before her eyes and impossible to piece back together.

Her heart felt like it was being ripped apart, causing her unbearable pain.

A scene suddenly flashed before her eyes: a young Shen Linyue pinching her cheek and teasingly saying, "Our Ayan is a very loyal person. From now on, you must let me vet your future boyfriends. All scumbags, get out! Stay far away from me and Ayan! We will be together forever and ever!"

“Okay…” she heard herself reply.

The sound also became distant and untouchable at this moment.

Overwhelmed with excitement, Jiang Yanxin's steps became unsteady and her vision blurred.

Fortunately, Jiang Zhixing was watching her and quickly reached out to catch her as she fell backward.

"Mother!"

The moment Jiang Jinyu saw Jiang Yanxin again, his already cracked heart shattered completely. He no longer cared about the woman connected to him. He reached out and pushed away the girl who was haphazardly putting on her pants. She was shocked and felt ashamed, angry, scared, and helpless. She could only curl up and hug herself tightly.

"Ayan!" Jiang Jinyu rushed towards Jiang Yanxin.

The tall young man stood up at this moment, his handsome face full of disgust and revulsion.

"Get out! Don't ever show your face in front of me and Mom again!" He didn't punch him because of the care he had given him over the years.

Jiang Jinyu pursed his lips, his long, narrow eyes were red, and the anxiety in his eyes seemed genuine, but Jiang Zhixing didn't bother to observe whether his expression was real or fake.

Now that he had detected his mother's reaction, he was determined to take her away from this dangerous place.

Jiang Zhixing's physical training these past few days has paid off; he was able to carry Jiang Yanxin in a princess carry, and the mother and child quickly left, regardless of how Jiang Jinyu called after them.

Jiang Yan's mind was in turmoil, filled with many thoughts and images, which ultimately settled on Shen Linyue's face. She longed to talk to her, but their current adversarial status meant they could never go back to the way things were.

She heard Jiang Jinyu calling her name again and again. When she looked up, her son's cold voice came from above her.

"Is Mom really so reluctant to part with Jiang Jinyu?" He couldn't understand his mother's thoughts.

Is love absolutely essential?

Jiang Yanxin frowned when she heard him call her by her full name, Jiang Jinyu. She wanted to explain but hesitated, and finally said only, "Ah Xing, put Mom down."

Jiang Zhixing paused for a moment, but still obediently stopped and put her on the side of the road.

Jiang Yanxin, her eyes still red, reluctantly pulled herself away from the club. As her mind gradually calmed down, she understood how all of this had happened.

"Did you deliberately want me to see these things?" Jiang Yanxin pursed her lips and stared straight at him.

Jiang Zhixing remained silent, then slowly nodded. "Yes, I don't understand why he's more important than me."

However, just as he began to explain, a gust of wind blew in, and a crisp sound rang out in the night.

Jiang Zhixing, who was slapped for the second time, looked at his beloved mother with a look of astonishment.

Jiang Yanxin's hands trembled as she coldly said, "There won't be a next time. You can only do this once."
