Chapter 64 is very relevant.

Shen Linyue leaned closer to look; it was a sealed file folder. She tried to touch it, but her hand went straight through it.

In her utter confusion, she realized something was wrong. She had never been to He Liyu's company before, and she didn't even know what his assistant looked like. But now, she could see everyone and everything in the room very clearly.

Dreams are the product of one's thoughts during the day and one's longings at night; everything except what one wants to see should be blurry.

Shen Linyue carefully observed He Liyu in front of her. He was younger than she had seen a few days ago. Although the temperament was similar, the real He Liyu was more composed, with a sense of maturity that came from years of experience.

So, this isn't a dream, right?

Could it be that her prayers have come true? Is her dead self helping her?

The hairs on her body stood on end; the feeling of being taken care of by herself was too eerie.

“Chen Wensheng’s recent medical check-up reports are all normal, except for one abnormal item: he hasn’t had a mental health visit in six months,” the assistant explained.

"This may be closely related to the accident that happened to my wife."

The air fell silent instantly. The sound of He Liyu turning the pages disappeared. After a long while, he looked up, his deep black eyes revealing no emotion.

"How are the Chen family members?" He Liyu asked in a deep voice.

The assistant said, "Chen Wensheng's grandson recently underwent a heart transplant, and the cost was paid by his daughter-in-law. So far, there has been no record of anyone transferring large sums of money to them."

He Liyu's eyes darkened slightly, and he tapped his fingers absently on the table: "Has the source of the heart been investigated?"

“Yes, the heart came from a child who had just died in a car accident.” The assistant paused for a moment, then added, “The Chen family waited five years for this heart.”

He Liyu pursed his lips and remained silent, exuding a subtle chill that made people afraid to even breathe.

"You can go now." He rubbed his temples, feeling utterly exhausted.

The assistant stood there for a moment and hesitated before saying, "Young Master will call Madam after he wakes up. Would you like to make a call and ask? You've been working overtime at the company for three months straight, and Young Master still needs you... Please take care of yourself."

After saying this, the assistant turned and left, not daring to look at his boss's expression again.

The office quickly returned to quiet.

Shen Linyue stood beside He Liyu, sensing his loneliness, and couldn't help but reach out and touch his head, though she felt nothing.

"He Liyu, who is Chen Wensheng? Why don't you open the file bag and take a look?" She was completely confused by their conversation.

However, the man sat there stiffly for a long time before Chen Linyue realized something was wrong. She squatted down and a tear unexpectedly fell from her eyes.

Shen Linyue then realized that He Liyu was actually... crying.

For a moment, she felt her throat was dry and itchy, and she stood there blankly, not knowing what to do. He Liyu had always been a strong man in her heart, and this was the first time she had seen him cry.

"He Liyu, don't cry. Am I really dead? I haven't even cried, why are you crying? Crying doesn't suit you at all." As Shen Linyue spoke, she felt her nose sting.

She's really dead. How pitiful she is! Who exactly is Chen Wensheng? Did he kill my future self?

Within minutes, He Liyu had regained his composure, though his eyes were still a little red.

He stood up and walked to the break room in the office, washed his face, and took his phone out of the locked drawer.

He stood in front of the cabinet for half a minute before he seemed to finally make up his mind, then turned on his phone and dialed a number.

Shen Linyue stayed by his side the whole time. When she saw him holding his phone to his ear, she wanted to lean in and listen too. She had never heard Ah Xiao's voice when he was a child.

However, she was too short, so she had to jump to hear him. Most importantly, He Liyu hadn't turned on speakerphone yet, which made her very embarrassed.

A soft, childlike voice could be faintly heard.

"Dad, when are you coming home? And where did Mom go? Everyone says she's dead. I miss you all so much. I don't want Mom to die, sob sob sob..."

He Liyu's hand trembled slightly as he held the phone, barely managing to steady himself, but the smile on his lips was extremely unsightly.

"Who's spreading rumors? Your mother... she just went to work in a faraway place, she'll be back."

"Really? Hiccup. Can Daddy come and stay with me? I don't know any of the uncles and aunties at the hospital. I'm scared. I want to go home, sob sob sob."

"Okay, Xiao, don't cry. Dad will come to see you after get off work tonight, but you have to listen to the doctor and cooperate with the check-up, okay? Mom also likes a healthy and good baby."

"Daddy, I'll be very good. You have to make sure Mom comes back to be with me soon..."

"Yes, Mom will definitely come back," He Liyu said softly, lowering his eyes.

The phone call lasted a long time. Shen Linyue, pressed close to He Liyu, listened to Xiao Axiao's voice and felt a warm glow in her heart. She really wanted to rush into the phone and hug that aggrieved little guy.

After finishing the call, He Liyu returned to his office to continue processing the remaining documents. This time, he picked up the untouched file folder on the table.

A stack of A4 paper appeared before my eyes, the first page being Chen Wensheng's resume.

Shen Linyue scanned the items one by one, her brows furrowing more and more as she looked.

He has been driving for ten years and has worked at He's for five years. His annual medical check-up reports have all shown that he is healthy, except for a psychological report from six months ago.

So Chen Wensheng is the He family's driver...

Just as she realized this, Shen Linyue's vision blurred again. She subconsciously reached out to grab He Liyu, only to find that in the blink of an eye, she was getting further and further away from him.

As consciousness gradually returned and her body felt grounded again, Shen Linyue suddenly opened her eyes to find sunlight streaming into the room through the curtains.

She vaguely realized that she had spent the entire night in that scene! She thought about what happened in the dream, and suddenly stopped.

Those memories that should have been clear seem to be starting to blur; she can't even remember the content of the phone call between Xiao A Xiao and He Li Yu.

Realizing this, Shen Linyue's expression changed drastically. She threw off the covers, ran barefoot to the desk, found a pen and paper, and quickly wrote: Chen Wensheng, driver, grandson's heart transplant, and one more thing: she died.

"Bang bang bang—"

"Bang bang bang—"

"Lin Yue, Lin Yue! Your tutor has arrived. What's wrong with you? You secretly slept in and made me get up early!" It was He Xiao's voice coming through the door.

Shen Linyue paused, the information about the dream completely blurred, and glanced at what she had written in her notebook one last time.

Oh, Chen Wensheng, the He family's former driver, seems to be related to her passing.

The loud knocking continued, and after a few seconds of stunned silence, Shen Linyue turned to open the door.

Outside, He Xiao's mocking gaze fell on Shen Linyue's snow-white face.

"Wasn't it nice to sleep until 9:30? You even told me to get up early last night, but I didn't see you setting a good example. Hehe." His gaze suddenly fell on her round and cute feet on the floor, and his expression changed abruptly.

"What's wrong with you? Why aren't you wearing shoes?"
