Chapter 89 Little He Xiao

That same night, after a long and intimate conversation with He Liyu, Shen Linyue had a dream, something she hadn't had in a long time.

She followed a woman in a white gauze dress, who was holding a little boy's hand, into an unfamiliar villa.

"The master is in his study on the second floor. I'll go and inform him," said the middle-aged man who looked like a butler.

"Thank you," the woman said gently. After the butler had walked away, she turned to the little boy beside her and said, "Go play with He Xiao, and don't let him bother your mother, okay?"

The little boy asked, puzzled, "Mommy, why did we come to Uncle He's house?"

"Um... because Mom needs to talk to Uncle He about something."

The little boy seemed to understand, but he still nodded with a cool little face.

Shen Linyue was unable to get close to the two, but Jiang Yanxin and the young Jiang Zhixing were still etched into her eyes. Could it be that she really had the ability to see the past?

Perhaps this is what is known as a cheat code?

Shen Linyue's expression gradually became strange.

Soon the housekeeper came out of the villa and informed Jiang Yanxin with a smile.

"Mr. He is waiting for you upstairs."

Jiang Yanxin nodded, and the mother and son followed the butler's directions into the villa's hall.

This time, Shen Linyue seemed unable to control her own movements and could only follow the two away, but she couldn't get too close to them.

Shen Linyue was helpless, but she couldn't wake herself up for the time being. She wanted to see what Jiang Yanxin wanted to do with He Liyu.

When they reached the second floor and the mother and son separated, she uncontrollably followed young Jiang Zhixing into a spacious children's room.

The children's room seems to be a combination of several rooms, very spacious, with a solid wood slide, a climbing wall, a trampoline, and a carousel in a ball pit...

Shen Linyue was stunned by the small amusement park in front of her.

The next second, Jiang Zhixing's youthful voice was heard.

"He Xiao, can I play with you?"

Shen Linyue was slightly startled and subconsciously looked up, only to see a small, thin figure climbing up from the ball pit.

The teenage He Xiao suddenly appeared before my eyes.

The Ah Xiao in front of her didn't have the sharp features and imposing presence of the eighteen-year-old. He was short and small, barely reaching her chest, and looked immature and childish, with baby fat still lingering on his cheeks.

"Come on, bury me in the ocean balls, that way my dad won't be able to find me and won't care about how much time I spend playing on my iPad."

Shen Linyue: Pfft... So cute.

When she first saw the young child, she was curious and wanted to go up and take a look, but she was blocked by an invisible wall.

She could only squat down far away from him and watch with regret, her motherly love overflowing.

"What game are you playing?" Jiang Zhixing walked in and actually started covering He Xiao with ocean balls.

Shen Linyue: ...It seems that Jiang Zhixing didn't dislike him from the beginning.

Xiao A-Xiao replied in a serious tone, "I'm making a wish. I've heard that as long as you're sincere, your wishes will come true. I make many wishes every day."

"Oh, what is your wish?"

"I hope my mother can come back."

Jiang Zhixing hesitated, but still squatted down in front of him and made a wish together with iapd.

“Then I might hope that my father can come back too.” Jiang Zhixing opened his eyes and said calmly to He Xiao, “But my mother said that my father and your mother are both dead, and they will never come back.”

He didn't see He Xiao's changing expression and continued talking to himself.

"You don't have a mother and I don't have a father. How about Uncle He becomes my father and my mother becomes your mother?"

As soon as Jiang Zhixing finished speaking, a shadow suddenly rushed towards him. It was He Xiao who overturned the tablet and smashed it at Jiang Zhixing.

"Get out! Get out! I don't want your mother! Don't come to play with me again!" Young He Xiao's eyes were fierce, like an angry little wolf cub.

Not satisfied with smashing the object, he lunged at Jiang Zhixing and began to beat him relentlessly.

It wasn't until the sobbing began that Jiang Zhixing belatedly started crying, while He Xiao stopped and wailed even louder than him.

Shen Linyue: ...

What just happened happened so fast that she didn't even have time to react before witnessing a series of events unfold.

The two cries mingled, giving her a headache, and the slight sadness she had felt earlier vanished without a trace.

She opened her mouth to comfort the sobbing He Xiao, but before she could utter a sound, an urgent voice rang out from outside the door.

"Ah Xiao!" It was a congratulatory greeting.

Shen Linyue unconsciously turned around, only to find that the surrounding scenery was beginning to blur.

She saw a tall figure pass by and then pick up the little one from the ball pit to comfort him.

"What happened?" he asked urgently.

He Xiao hugged He Liyu's neck, still sobbing: "Jiang Zhixing said my mother is dead, and he still wants you to be his father!"

The scene before her completely vanished, and Shen Linyue woke up from her dream and sat up.

The sky outside was just beginning to lighten; I had no idea what time it was in the morning.

Thinking about the dream, the child's crying seemed to still linger in her mind, giving her a headache.

Thinking back to the conversation between Jiang Zhixing and He Xiao, he roughly guessed why the two had become enemies.

Unable to fall asleep again, Shen Linyue got out of bed and went to the bathroom to wash up. As soon as she came out, she heard faint sounds of people going up and down the stairs outside the door.

She pondered for a moment, then walked over and opened the door, where she saw the housekeeper coming down from upstairs.

The housekeeper was surprised to see her wake up so early and greeted her after a moment of astonishment.

Good morning, Miss Lin Yue.

Shen Linyue glanced at the black suitcase in his hand and pursed her lips: "Is He Liyu going on another business trip?"

"Yes, the gentleman is still downstairs. Would you like to say goodbye?" the butler said gently.

Shen Linyue thought for a moment and then nodded: "Okay, let's go."

Uncle Xiao smiled slightly and walked ahead.

Shen Linyue soon saw He Liyu in the living room on the first floor, with a man in a suit standing next to him.

She glanced at him curiously a few times, and the man seemed to sense something and turned around. When he saw her face clearly, he was even more surprised for a moment.

Shen Linyue instantly realized who this person was; it seemed that He Liyu's assistant was surnamed Ji.

She thought for a moment, then greeted him politely, "Good morning, Assistant Ji."

Assistant Ji was even more surprised, "Ah, Madam... no, Ms. Chen... um... Miss Lin Yue?"

The words I was about to say were starting to feel hot to the touch.

Is this young lady surnamed Lin a carbon copy of the proprietress?!

He Liyu also stopped adjusting his cuffs, glanced at his stuttering assistant, and then spoke softly.

Did I wake you up?

Shen Linyue smiled at Assistant Ji, then looked at the man and gently shook her head: "No, I had a nightmare and wanted you to help me understand."

He Liyu raised an eyebrow and said to his assistant, "Take my luggage and wait for me in the car."

Assistant Ji wanted to gossip, but knew it wasn't the time. He nodded seriously, took the luggage from the butler, and left.

The housekeeper, having overheard Miss Lin Yue's words, tactfully went into the kitchen.

"You can talk now." He Liyu handed her a glass of water.

Shen Linyue smiled and said, "I just want to ask, what's the deal with Jiang Yanxin's husband?"
