Chapter 147 Arrival at the Valley

Qing Xuanzi told the two brothers to extinguish the campfire and then crawl into the tent to rest.

Before going to bed, the two brothers would massage each other's leg muscles to relax after a long day.

Rong Jiaojiao was so sleepy after eating that she fell asleep quickly when Qing Xuanzi held her in his arms.

As night deepened, the valley was filled with the chirping of insects, and everything seemed so peaceful.

Qing Xuanzi put Rong Jiaojiao in the tent so she could sleep with her two older brothers, while he himself sat cross-legged to cultivate, leaving a portion of his divine sense to keep an eye on the surrounding safety.

As dawn approached, Qing Xuanzi took out a pot, built a simple stove out of stones, and cooked a pot of meat porridge on it.

As dawn broke, Qing Xuanzi dug up all three children and began cultivating them.

So, in the dim light of dawn, by the stream in the woods, an old man and three children sat cross-legged in a row, eyes closed and focused, motionless like little sculptures.

Occasionally, a few small birds would fly by, chirping and chattering, as if curious about what these strange "statues" were doing.

After cultivating for a while, Rong Jiaojiao couldn't resist any longer. She quietly slid her little hand down her leg, secretly scratched her nose, and then restlessly twisted her body.

Qing Xuanzi opened his eyes, looked at her little face, and couldn't help but smile. He coughed lightly and reminded her, "Jiaojiao, don't move. You need to concentrate on your cultivation."

Rong Jiaojiao immediately sat up straight, her face flushed red, but her eyes couldn't help but wander around.

Qing Xuanzi shook his head helplessly, then turned to look at Rong Zhigao and Rong Zhiyuan. He found that the two of them were sitting upright with their eyes slightly closed. Qing Xuanzi could sense that there was internal energy circulating in their bodies, so he nodded.

More than an hour later, seeing that Rong Zhigao and Rong Zhiyuan were also about to give up, Qing Xuanzi finally stood up, clapped his hands, and announced, "Alright, that's enough for today." He then looked at the two brothers approvingly and said, "You've done a great job of holding on for so long."

The two brothers immediately breathed a sigh of relief, rubbed their numb legs, and stood up.

Rong Jiaojiao also scrambled up from the ground and ran to Qing Xuanzi's side, looking up at him with her little face and saying, "Master, I'm hungry."

Qing Xuanzi laughed heartily: "Little glutton, I knew you would be hungry, so I prepared breakfast."

He turned and walked to the stream, lifted the pot lid, and the aroma of meat porridge instantly filled the air.

The two brothers immediately came over, their eyes fixed on the meat porridge in the pot, their stomachs rumbling at the opportune moment.

"Wow, it smells so good!" Rong Zhiyuan swallowed hard. "Uncle Qingxuan, you're amazing! Even your cooking is incredible!"

With a single spell, Qing Xuanzi transformed the scalding hot porridge into a perfectly palatable temperature.

He smiled and handed them the bowls: "Eat up, you'll have the energy to keep going."

The two brothers took the bowl, thanked him, and then went to get their rice.

Qing Xuanzi also served Rong Jiaojiao a bowl and set out a small table and chairs for her to sit down and eat slowly.

The two brothers were used to Qing Xuanzi doting on his sister, so they weren't surprised at all.

After Qing Xuanzi also served himself a bowl and started eating, they followed suit and ate, each of them finishing two large bowls and feeling quite full.

After everyone finished eating, Rong Zhigao was about to wash the dishes when Qing Xuanzi stopped him. With two cleaning spells, the pots and pans were spotless, and even the black ash from the fire at the bottom of the pots was gone. This made Rong Zhiyuan, who was always assigned to wash dishes, extremely envious.

After packing their things, they set off immediately. Along the way, they found some wild animals to hunt, which Qing Xuanzi collected. With these two boys joining them, he needed to prepare more.

On the afternoon of the fourth day, they finally arrived at the valley.

The two brothers followed Qing Xuanzi into the valley through the bamboo forest path. As soon as they stepped out of the path, they were stunned by the sight before them.

Rong Zhigao and Rong Zhiyuan stopped almost simultaneously, their eyes wide and mouths slightly agape, looking utterly incredulous.

"Wow..." Rong Zhiyuan exclaimed first, his voice full of shock and disbelief.

"Is this the land Uncle Qingxuan cultivated? It must be very hard work for you to cultivate so much by yourself!"

Rong Zhigao stared straight ahead, unaware that Qing Xuanzi could use magic to cultivate the land, and felt sorry for Qing Xuanzi's hard work.

Qing Xuanzi watched their reactions and a slight smile appeared on his lips, as if he had expected this outcome.

Without offering much explanation, he gently patted their shoulders and said with a smile, "Welcome to the valley! This is my home in the valley!"

The two brothers then came to their senses and began to carefully examine everything in front of them.

The valley is a very open basin surrounded by rocky mountains, and beyond those mountains are continuous green hills, forming a natural barrier that protects this paradise.

Before my eyes, more than a dozen acres of rice paddies are lush and green, swaying gently in the wind, like a green ocean.

The cornfields in the distance are even more spectacular, with tall corn stalks neatly arranged and stretching as far as the eye can see.

"Uncle Qingxuan, are these fields ours? The grain you give us is all grown here?" Rong Zhiyuan couldn't help but ask.

Qing Xuanzi laughed heartily: "This valley has excellent feng shui and fertile land, so you can harvest a good harvest no matter what you plant. I'll grow some grain here and be self-sufficient, without having to worry about food and drink."

Upon hearing this, the two brothers' eyes flashed with admiration. Only someone as capable as Uncle Qingxuan could grow crops in the deep mountains and forests.

Rong Zhigao said, "Uncle, you've worked hard!"

Rong Zhiyuan nodded: "That's right, it must be very hard for Uncle to farm so much land all by himself."

Qing Xuanzi smiled and said, "Have you all forgotten that your uncle knows magic?"

Rong Zhigao and Rong Zhiyuan both widened their eyes in surprise. Rong Zhiyuan exclaimed in astonishment, "Farming can be done with magic?"

Qing Xuanzi nodded, and Rong Zhigao couldn't help but exclaim, "This is too amazing, too incredible!"

Qing Xuanzi laughed and said, "This is nothing special. Life is long, and you will encounter many more amazing things in the future."

"Let's go, I'll take you home."

Qing Xuanzi led them further into the valley. Rong Jiaojiao was particularly lively after returning to the valley, wriggling her body to get down.

Qing Xuanzi put her down and let Rong Zhigao and Rong Zhiyuan hold her hands and walk forward.

Along the way, the brothers' eyes were like radar, scanning everywhere, afraid of missing any detail.

Wildflowers of all colors bloomed on both sides of the road, red, yellow, purple... scattered like stars among the green grass, as if adorning the earth with dazzling gems of various colors.

A gentle breeze blew by, and the flowers swayed softly, as if nodding in greeting.

"Wow, so many beautiful flowers!" Rong Zhiyuan couldn't help but squat down and reach out to pick one, but Rong Zhigao grabbed him.
