Tian Shu laughed and said, "In that case, I won't meddle in other people's business."
Rong Jiaojiao nodded, said goodbye to Tian Shu, and they all left the inspection team compound together.
Once outside, Mo Bai said, "Fellow Daoist Rong, shall I take you back?"
Rong Jiaojiao rolled her eyes at her: "No, I still want to go to my second brother's place and get some seafood to take back to my parents!"
She has a Water Spirit Pearl, so she can go to the deep sea and bring back lots of good things so that she won't lack food and drink when she goes on her training with her master.
Mo Bai had heard Rong Jiaojiao mention that her second brother was in the navy, and she was going to go to sea to play. The thought immediately made him itchy.
He shamelessly followed Rong Jiaojiao, who snorted coldly, found a secluded corner, summoned her flying sword, and flew out of the city with Ziling in her arms.
Mo Bai also summoned his flying sword and followed closely behind, muttering, "Fellow Daoist Rong, wait for me, I want to see the sea too!"
Mo Zhizhou quickly flashed onto the Mo Bai flying sword.
The remaining three watched their departing figures and exchanged a smile.
Liu Hanyan said, "These two little guys are really interesting."
Night Owl nodded: "Indeed, they are all young, yet they possess both strength and courage, and their future is limitless."
Qi Lan smiled, turned to the crowd and said, "Since Fellow Daoist Tian Shu told us to rest first, then everyone should go back to your respective places. I also need to return to the Immortal Mountain."
Night Owl nodded and left first. Liu Hanyan asked, "Senior Qi, I also want to return to the Immortal Mountain. Could you give me a ride?"
"Alright, let's go..."
Rong Jiaojiao was completely lost after flying out of Beijing; she didn't know which way to fly.
Mo Bai caught up with her, stopped when he saw her, and burst into laughter after learning the reason. Rong Jiaojiao glared at him angrily.
Mo Zhizhou also found it amusing. He released his flying sword and invited, "Young friend Rong, I know the way. Shall I take you there?"
Rong Jiaojiao knew she couldn't stop Mo Bai, and she also knew this wasn't the time to be sentimental, so she nodded and said, "Then thank you very much, Senior Mo!"
Rong Jiaojiao carried Ziling onto Mo Zhizhou's flying sword, and Mo Bai laughed and also boarded Mo Zhizhou's flying sword. Rong Jiaojiao glared at Mo Bai angrily: "What are you laughing at! I just don't know the way, what's so funny?!"
Mo Bai clutched his stomach, laughing so hard tears were almost streaming down his face: "The dignified master of the Demon-Suppressing Stele is actually hopelessly directionally challenged! Hahaha—"
Mo Zhizhou shook his head helplessly and patted Mo Bai on the shoulder: "Alright, stop laughing. If you laugh again, be careful that Rong Xiaoyou kicks you off the flying sword."
Rong Jiaojiao snorted, turned to look at Mo Zhizhou, and softened her tone: "Senior Mo, then I'll trouble you to take me there."
Mo Zhizhou smiled gently: "It's nothing, let's go."
He controlled the flying sword, steadily heading southeast.
Zi Ling nestled in Rong Jiaojiao's arms, lazily yawned, and gently flicked her tail, seemingly expressing her displeasure at Mo Bai's laughter.
Seeing this, Mo Bai leaned over and poked Zi Ling's head: "Little one, what's wrong, you dislike me too?"
Zi Ling rolled her eyes with remarkable intelligence, then turned her head away, presenting her backside to him.
"Hey! You little rascal!" Mo Bai's eyes widened, and he reached out to rub Zi Ling's head.
Rong Jiaojiao slapped his hand away: "Stop messing around, Ziling's injury has just healed. If you bully it again, I'll throw you into the sea to feed the fish!"
Mo Bai immediately raised his hands in surrender: "Okay, okay, I was wrong! Fellow Daoist Rong, spare my life!"
Mo Zhizhou, listening to their bickering from the front, couldn't help but laugh out loud: "You two are really a pair of clowns."
Rong Jiaojiao pouted: "Who's a couple with him!"
Mo Bai immediately chimed in, "That's right, I can't compare to someone as powerful as Fellow Daoist Rong!"
Rong Jiaojiao ignored him, lowered her head and rubbed Ziling's head, muttering softly, "Ziling is still the best."
Zi Ling squinted her eyes and rubbed her palm against her hand with enjoyment.
After flying for more than an hour, the azure coastline finally appeared in the distance.
The sea breeze, carrying a salty scent, blew towards her, and she couldn't help but stretch: "Senior Mo, are we almost there?"
"Almost there. We'll be at the 11th Regiment of the 3rd Navy Brigade in about ten minutes. We'll find a place to land a little further away from the base."
Rong Jiaojiao was in a particularly good mood and sweetly thanked her, "Thank you, senior!"
Mo Zhizhou controlled the flying sword to slowly descend, finally landing on a deserted beach.
The waves gently lapped against the shore, and the outline of a naval base could be seen in the distance.
Rong Jiaojiao jumped off the flying sword with Ziling in her arms, took a deep breath of the salty sea breeze, and said happily, "We've finally arrived!"
Mo Bai followed closely behind, looked around for a moment, and said, "It's nothing special!"
Rong Jiaojiao glared at him; this man's words were truly unpleasant to hear.
Ziling jumped down from Rong Jiaojiao's arms and ran around the beach a few times, finally stopping by a rock and tilting her head to stare at the little crab in the crevice.
Rong Jiaojiao walked over with a smile: "Ziling, that's not pretty. Let's go find a big crab later."
Mo Zhizhou put away his flying sword and reminded him, "Young friend Rong, do you want to contact your second brother?"
Rong Jiaojiao nodded: "We need to contact them, but it will have to be later, after their training is over."
She pointed to the rocky beach not far away and said, "I found a lot of good seafood there. I'm going there. What about you?"
Mo Bai said, "I'll go play too."
Rong Jiaojiao looked at Mo Zhizhou, who waved his hand and said, "You guys go ahead, I'm an old man and I'm not interested in beachcombing."
"Okay, let's go down and play!"
The weather is still very cold, so Rong Jiaojiao didn't go into the water. She just looked around on the rocks and waited until it was time to go find her brother.
Rong Jiaojiao took out a wooden bucket and nimbly jumped onto the rocks, with Ziling following closely behind, her little paws scratching at the damp crevices in the rocks.
"Hey! There's a giant conch shell here!" Rong Jiaojiao's eyes lit up. She pulled a palm-sized conch shell from a crevice in the rocks and proudly waved it at Mo Bai. "See that? This is what you call beachcombing!"
Mo Bai curled his lip: "It's just a broken seashell..."
No sooner had he finished speaking than his foot slipped, and with a "plop," he slid into a shallow puddle, splashing water everywhere.
Rong Jiaojiao looked at him with a complicated expression.
Mo Bai lifted his foot, his trouser leg already soaked, and immediately cast a cleansing spell on himself.
After she finished looking up, she saw the way Rong Jiaojiao was looking at her and said angrily, "What kind of look is that? I just didn't notice."
"Mmm, whatever you say!"
Mo Bai...
Zi Ling let out two gloating "woofs" and wagged her little tail happily.
It didn't send a telepathic message to Rong Jiaojiao, but the meaning it wanted to convey was so obvious.
"Hmph, you just wait!" Mo Bai rolled up his sleeves defiantly. "I'm going to grab an even bigger one!"
He imitated Rong Jiaojiao as he turned over the stones, and suddenly exclaimed in surprise, "Look what I found!"
Rong Jiaojiao curiously leaned closer and saw Mo Bai holding a crab with its claws outstretched in its hand, saying smugly, "How about it? Mine is bigger than yours, isn't it?"
