Rong Jiaojiao and the others followed behind. After getting off the train, when they parted, the youth team leader said "thank you" to Rong Jiaojiao.
Rong Jiaojiao smiled and waved, heading straight with her master to Xuanqingzhai in what is now the secondhand market.
When Leng Muya saw that Qing Xuanzi and Rong Jiaojiao were standing in front of her, she was stunned.
After welcoming them in, he eagerly asked, "Junior Brother, what brings you here? Has the Demonic Soul fallen into slumber again?"
After asking the question, she looked at Qing Xuanzi with anticipation in her eyes.
Qing Xuanzi shook his head: "No, Senior Sister. My sea of consciousness is injured, and I cannot use my divine sense for the time being, so I am unable to fight. Therefore, the sect sent me to take over your position and manage the general affairs here. So I brought Jiaojiao down the mountain with me."
Leng Muya was somewhat disappointed, but she knew she was hoping for the wrong thing. She asked, "Are my mother and grandfather alright?"
"It's all good, but they are still holding the seal on the demon-sealing array."
Leng Muya calmed herself down and changed the subject, saying, "Since you're taking over my job, let's start the handover now. Senior Tian Shu is waiting for me to lead the team in Haishi!"
Qing Xuanzi nodded, then turned to Rong Jiaojiao and said, "You wait here for Master to finish the handover, and then find someone to take you back."
Rong Jiaojiao nodded, and Leng Muya asked curiously, "Jiaojiao is going back to her parents?"
"OK."
Leng Muya felt that Rong Jiaojiao should cultivate properly on the immortal mountain, but as her senior sister, she couldn't interfere too much. She simply nodded and said, "Come in with me. I have a letter for you."
Rong Jiaojiao followed Leng Muya into the inner room of Xuanqingzhai and saw that it was filled with various documents and items, but it did not appear cluttered.
Leng Muya handed a letter to Rong Jiaojiao, then turned to Qing Xuanzi to begin handing over the daily affairs.
Rong Jiaojiao ignored what they were saying and instead took the letter to the side to read it.
Looking at the date on the envelope, which was September 7th, and today being October 16th, it seemed that the letter had been here for quite some time, and it wasn't even sent from Ping'an Town. Rong Jiaojiao was very curious about what would be written in the letter.
She hadn't received a letter from home for six months and was really looking forward to it.
Opening the letter, I read that it only described how much my parents missed me. There was no mention of my older brother, so it seems he hasn't contacted my parents in a long time.
And then there's the older brother. I didn't expect him to enlist in the army in September. Rong Jiaojiao felt it was a pity. It's such a coincidence that she won't be able to see her brothers as soon as she gets home.
However, Rong Jiaojiao was still very happy at the thought of seeing her parents soon.
The letter ended by saying that their base had been moved from its original location and was now stationed in Qiuze County, not far from Bing City, and included the address of the new base.
Although Rong Jiaojiao is almost ten years old now, she knows nothing about this Dragon Kingdom.
It's just a guess, but the trajectory of development is roughly the same as the world in my dream, and now it's the height of the Cultural Revolution.
For her, the world in her dreams was not familiar; it was a world she needed to understand as well.
Rong Jiaojiao sat there lost in thought for a long time, until more than an hour later, Leng Muya and Qing Xuanzi finished their handover.
Upon arriving at the main hall, he summoned the few disciples who remained at the residence and instructed them: "From now on, your Uncle Qingxuan will be in charge here. If you have any questions, you can ask him, and he will definitely help you."
Several disciples nodded respectfully: "Yes, Senior Sister Leng."
Leng Muya then said to Qing Xuanzi, "Junior Brother, I'm leaving things here to you. If there's anything you don't understand, you can ask Senior Tian Shu; she will definitely help you."
Qing Xuanzi smiled slightly: "Thank you, Senior Sister. I will handle it properly."
Leng Muya nodded and looked at Rong Jiaojiao: "Do you want me to find someone to help you take her home?"
Qing Xuanzi shook his head: "Senior Sister is too busy, so there's no need to trouble yourself. I'll find someone to take her later."
Leng Muya nodded and asked Rong Jiaojiao, "I think your family lives in some town under the jurisdiction of Bing City?"
Rong Jiaojiao nodded: "My parents just wrote a letter saying that they have moved their residence to a place called Qiuzhe County near Bing City."
Leng Muya said, "I know this place. It's an industrial county, not far from Bing City. I'll ask around later, and if anyone is going to Bing City, I'll ask them to help take you there."
Rong Jiaojiao quickly thanked her, and Leng Muya waved and left.
After Leng Muya left, Qing Xuanzi waved for his disciples to go about their business, then turned to Rong Jiaojiao and asked, "Jiaojiao, are you planning to stay here for a few days before going back, or do you want to go back sooner?"
Rong Jiaojiao said, "Master, I want to go back quickly."
"Okay, I'll ask around and see if anyone's willing to take you back."
Rong Jiaojiao stopped her, saying, "Master, there's no need to find someone else to take me. With my current strength, it's not that easy for them to hurt me."
Although Qing Xuanzi knew that what she said made sense, she was still uneasy, and neither master nor disciple could convince the other.
Qing Xuanzi, being an elder, made the final decision: "You stay here for two days. Once I find the person, I'll buy you a ticket and send you back. That's settled."
They're all doing this for their own good, so what can Rong Jiaojiao say? She can only wait and see.
She asked Qing Xuanzi, "Master, I'm planning to buy some roast duck to take back with me. Can I go out by myself?"
"Okay, you wait here, your master will go and get some tickets from your uncles."
After saying that, he turned around and went to find someone to exchange his ticket.
Rong Jiaojiao stood there, feeling a little excited.
She hadn't eaten roast duck in a long time, and the thought of its fragrant, crispy skin and tender meat made her lips curl into a slight smile.
Not long after, Qing Xuanzi returned, handing Rong Jiaojiao several receipts: "These are enough for you to buy roast duck. If you need more, just let me know."
Rong Jiaojiao took the receipt and said gratefully, "That's enough, thank you, Master."
She turned to leave, but Qing Xuanzi reminded her again, "There are many people and suspicious eyes outside, be careful, don't get lost."
"Yes, I know," Rong Jiaojiao replied, and then went out the door briskly.
The flea market outside Xuanqingzhai was bustling with activity. All sorts of old and miscellaneous items filled the stalls, and the crowds thronged, with the sounds of bargaining filling the air.
Rong Jiaojiao weaved through the crowd, heading towards the roast duck restaurant she remembered. She recalled that the last time she came, her senior uncle Leng Muya had taken them to eat at that roast duck restaurant.
After walking a short distance, Rong Jiaojiao saw the familiar roast duck restaurant.
A long queue formed again in front of the store, with people looking on expectantly.
She quickly joined the queue, glancing at the people in front of her while silently calculating the time in her mind.
When it was her turn, there were only a few left to hang up. Seeing that there were still quite a few people behind her, Rong Jiaojiao still mustered up the courage to ask the middle-aged woman selling roast duck, "Auntie, can I buy two more?"
Before the woman selling roast duck could even speak, someone behind her chimed in: "Young lady, didn't you see there aren't many left? You still want to buy two? What about the people in line behind you?"
