Chapter 150 Three Chicken Legs

When the time was up, Qing Xuanzi lightly leaped down from the stone pillar.

"Okay, time's up!" he shouted.

When Rong Zhigao and Rong Zhiyuan heard Qing Xuanzi's words, they breathed a sigh of relief, and almost fell over.

Qing Xuanzi used a spell to sweep all three of them down.

Rong Jiaojiao patted her leg and said, "Master, I won! I want to eat a chicken leg."

Qing Xuanzi laughed and patted her head: "Good, good, my darling is the best! I'll make you a chicken leg for lunch today."

"Now, go wash up first, then we'll have breakfast. After breakfast, it'll be time for cultivation."

The two brothers immediately went to get toiletries to wash up. Rong Jiaojiao, looking sneaky, ran up to her master and said, "Master, put on the talisman."

Qing Xuanzi was speechless. Ever since he learned to draw talismans, he had never used toiletries. He had even forgotten to buy toiletries for the little girl, but he had made her into a habit.

He teased the little girl, "Whose daughter is this lazy, gluttonous little devil?"

Rong Jiaojiao smiled sweetly: "It's from my master's family, and from my parents' family."

He urged again, "Master, hurry up and put it on!"

Qing Xuanzi cast two cleaning spells on her, and the little girl immediately became clean and refreshed. She turned around and ran to the kitchen, chanting, "Chicken leg, chicken leg, baby is here!"

Qing Xuanzi wiped away imaginary sweat from his brow and followed him inside, saying, "You can't eat chicken legs in the morning; you can only eat them at noon."

The little girl pouted as if tears were about to fall, so Qing Xuanzi quickly said, "Give her an extra chicken leg at noon."

The little girl paused and asked, "How many are there in total?"

Qing Xuanzi...

The older they get, the harder they are to fool. He held up two fingers: "Three!"

The little girl said "Oh," stretched out her little hand, counted her fingers one by one, and then held up three fingers: "Master, there are only three, you're so silly."

Qing Xuanzi gritted his teeth and held up one more finger: "Yes, three."

Rong Jiaojiao, satisfied, let go and called out, "Brother, dinner's ready!"

Qing Xuanzi felt he had been tricked, shook his head helplessly, and went to serve her porridge.

After breakfast, just as dawn was breaking, the four of them sat in a row in the courtyard meditating. Although their cultivation systems were different, they were remarkably harmonious.

They didn't stop until the sun was high in the sky.

Qing Xuanzi had them do stretching exercises to relieve the stiffness and fatigue from the morning.

Twenty minutes later, Qing Xuanzi said, "Alright, that's enough for the morning training. Zhigao and Zhiyuan, do you know how to cook stewed chicken?"

Rong Zhigao nodded: "Yes!"

Qing Xuanzi gave him two chickens: "I'll stew two chickens today. Go and prepare them now. Except for the heart and liver, don't take any of the internal organs."

"knew!"

The two took the chicken and went to boil water.

Qing Xuanzi took Rong Jiaojiao back to the house, set out his talisman-drawing tools, and began practicing drawing talismans.

The little girl lost patience after drawing a few, and she really lost interest in drawing these low-level runes every day.

Seeing her like this, Qing Xuanzi took out an ice-sealing talisman and said, "Jiaobao, shall we start learning this today?"

Rong Jiaojiao looked at the talisman in her master's hand, and it seemed to be no different from the previous ones.

As his divine sense spread to the talisman, Qing Xuanzi quickly called out, "Jiaobao, stop!"

However, it was too late. Her divine sense had already reached the activation rune, so Qing Xuanzi quickly threw the ice-sealing talisman into the courtyard.

But it was too late. The next second, the entire house, including the feet of the master and apprentice, was instantly covered by a thin layer of ice, and the surrounding air became bitterly cold.

Qing Xuanzi reacted quickly, pulling Rong Jiaojiao into his arms and simultaneously casting a thawing talisman to remove the frost from both of them.

"Master, what is this?" Rong Jiaojiao looked at the frozen world in front of her, her eyes sparkling. It was clear that she had found something interesting again.

Qing Xuanzi sighed helplessly. Although he managed to control the power of the ice-sealing talisman in time, the entire house was still frozen into a mess, and even the flowers and plants in the yard were covered with a thin layer of ice.

Just then, Rong Zhigao and Rong Zhiyuan's terrified voices came from the kitchen doorway: "Uncle, how can the ground be frozen and so cold in the middle of summer?"

Qing Xuanzi quickly comforted him, "It's alright, it's just too hot. I'll use a talisman to cool you down."

After saying that, he poked Rong Jiaojiao's forehead: "You always give me things to do. Luckily, I can get rid of them quickly, or I would have been frozen into an ice sculpture by you."

The little girl immediately apologized: "I'm sorry, Master, I was wrong."

Looking at her innocent eyes, Qing Xuanzi smiled helplessly: "It's good that you know you were wrong. You can't use your divine sense to probe talismans recklessly in the future. Some talismans are very powerful and beyond your control."

Rong Jiaojiao nodded and whispered, "Master, I will be more careful in the future."

Qing Xuanzi ruffled her hair and said, "Alright, just be more careful in the future."

As he spoke, he took out another talisman and waved it gently. A warm light flashed, and the ice in the room began to melt rapidly, returning to its original dry state in no time.

If it weren't for the frost in the yard slowly melting, I would have thought that nothing had happened.

"Wow, Master, you're amazing!" Rong Jiaojiao looked at Qing Xuanzi with sparkling eyes, her face full of admiration.

Qing Xuanzi raised his eyebrows proudly: "Of course, Master is very powerful. Baby, would you like to learn the Ice Sealing Talisman?"

"think."

Having successfully piqued Rong Jiaojiao's interest, Qing Xuanzi, though seemingly a mistake, immediately put his plan into action.

"Then let's begin now."

He disassembled the runes of the Ice Seal and slowly explained them to Rong Jiaojiao, guiding her to first learn to draw the runes with ordinary paper and pen, and then connect the individual runes together.

Time passed slowly, and Rong Jiaojiao still hadn't been able to connect all the runes of the Ice Seal Talisman. Rong Zhiyuan came over and asked, "Uncle Qingxuan, is dinner ready? When do we eat?"

Upon hearing that the food was ready, the little girl threw down her talisman and ran outside.

Qing Xuanzi gave a long "hmm": "Jiaojiao, what does Master tell you to do after each time you finish drawing a talisman?"

The little girl was good at reading people's tone. When she heard Jiaojiao's name, she knew that her master must have a serious face. She withdrew her leg that was about to step out and obediently replied, "Put away the brush, ink, paper and inkstone!"

Then he tidied up the things, took the brush to wash it clean and handed it to Qing Xuanzi. Seeing Qing Xuanzi nod, he ran off to the kitchen.

He called out, "Brother, it's time to eat! I want three chicken drumsticks."

Qing Xuanzi watched Rong Jiaojiao's departing figure, shook his head helplessly, but couldn't help but smile.

This little girl is getting more and more mischievous as she grows up.

Qing Xuanzi looked at Rong Zhiyuan, who had been watching his sister's mishap, and said, "Alright, let's eat. Serve the dishes!"

Rong Zhishang, holding a pot of chicken soup, shouted loudly, "Little sister, don't move, your brother is about to bring the chicken soup."

Qing Xuanzi had already arrived at the kitchen door. He quickly went up to him and said, "I'll bring the chicken soup, you bring the other dishes."
