Chapter 326 Qi Yan's Secret

Tang Qiqi never expected that the person waiting for her was Pei Wenyu.

The two haven't met since their last fight and the words they left behind.

A strong premonition told Tang Qiqi that Qi Yan was also here.

Moreover, Pei Wenyu came to see me today with preparation.

The two stood quietly in the night. Before Tang Qiqi could speak, the person in front of him suddenly took a step forward.

Even without any words, Tang Qiqi understood the meaning of Pei Wenyu's look when he turned back.

She followed silently behind him and walked two blocks.

Seeing the person in front of him walking slower and slower, Tang Qiqi knew that the place Pei Wenyu wanted to take him to was almost there.

Where does Pei Wenyu want to take me?

Will Qi Yan be there?

"Is that the man here?"

"Oh my God, he actually dared to come back."

All of Tang Qiqi's thoughts were suddenly interrupted by several middle-aged women standing in the corridor.

Even though he didn't mention anyone by name, the fear in his eyes when he turned around and left after saying those words made her sensitively sense that it was because of the person in front of her.

Even though he has lived here for more than half a year, Tang Qiqi has never set foot here.

Why do these people say this about Pei Wenyu, and why are they afraid of him?

"Are you scared?" The person in front finally stopped but didn't turn around.

"What are you afraid of?" Tang Qiqi chuckled as he looked at Pei Wenyu's back. "The bully on this street?"

"What if it's worse than a bully?"

Hearing the implication of the words, Tang Qiqi raised the corners of his lips, "That is indeed quite scary."

After saying that, he stood there cooperating seriously, as if he was too scared to move forward.

Pei Wenyu suddenly turned around and smiled, then slowly said as he exhaled, "This is where I was born, but I haven't been back for many years."

"Why?" Tang Qiqi asked, "Because they are afraid of you?"

When he heard this question, Pei Wenyu did not rush to answer.

Instead, he took out a cigarette and slowly lit it, leaning against the wall with his head slightly raised as if he was reminiscing.

Not until the crimson fire gradually disappeared into the night did Pei Wenyu speak: "Let me tell you a story."

"Have you heard the story of the farmer and the snake? But in my story, the farmer becomes a notorious villain. This villain's greatest hope is to train his adopted son and use him for his own benefit."

"In the eyes of outsiders, he is a kind-hearted man who adopted 'stray' and abandoned children. However, no one knows that the children he said he adopted were actually children he captured."

"He was harsh and cruel, beating and scolding those children all day long, from as young as five to as old as teenagers, anyone who could escape his clutches. He even took advantage of their kindness and used his adopted son to defraud them."

"Those adopted sons thought about rebelling, but anyone who had such thoughts was quickly extinguished by beatings and even more brutal methods."

"Until one day, this man brought back a child from outside. This child was different from the others. There was no fear in his eyes, even though he knew the child was about to be imprisoned in this place."

"As the saying goes, evildoers will be punished. This evil man later developed lung problems and his health deteriorated day by day. As he watched the children grow older, even though most of them were already half-crippled, he still hoped that one day he could escape."

"The villain loved the child he brought back last, because every time they put him in a crowd of people fighting, even if the child's head was broken and bleeding, he never cried out in pain. The fierceness in his eyes was not something everyone could imitate. The villain placed all his hopes on that child, but he didn't expect that one day that hope would end his life with his own hands."
