"Thump! Thump! Thump!"
Wang Zheng's door was pounded on early in the morning, and he originally wanted to pretend he was dead and ignore it.
But the knocking outside the door continued for several minutes without stopping, finally freeing Wang Zheng from the seal of the quilt.
When Wang Zheng yawned and flung open the dormitory door, he was as expected to see Chu Xiaoman looking smug. Wang Zheng was speechless and immediately tried to close the door.
Chu Xiaoman, of course, refused and immediately turned around and squeezed in.
Seeing that the other person had already run in, Wang Zheng simply ignored them, let go of the doorknob, and went back to the living room in a daze. He collapsed onto the sofa, closed his eyes, and was about to continue enjoying his leisurely holiday.
Seeing the door wide open, Wu Huan followed him in.
This was her first time entering a boys' dormitory, so she was a little nervous and stood at the door, looking around curiously.
The house turned out to be not very clean, but it was still tidy, and there was no slovenly scene of smelly socks flying everywhere as she had imagined.
At this moment, Chu Xiaoman had already jumped in front of Wang Zheng, pointed a finger at his nose, and shouted loudly:
"Wang Zheng, I'm now formally inviting you to join our study group! Let me tell you, I have exclusive inside information that can guarantee you a good score on the exam in a few days!"
Wow, that's awesome!
Wang Zheng, who had been forcing himself to stay awake, instantly lost interest upon hearing this. He clapped his hands perfunctorily twice, then slumped over and prepared to fall asleep.
Seeing Wang Zheng's disdainful look, Chu Xiaoman was so angry that she jumped up and down, raising her fist to punch Wang Zheng.
But when she saw a flash of white light on Wang Zheng, she immediately chickened out and helped him up from the sofa.
"Tomorrow's exams are 'International Modern History' and 'Introduction to Modern Thinking.' Let me tell you, I have past exam questions in my hands. They won't be exactly the same, but the overall content framework will remain the same. If you call me Sister Xiaoman, I might consider letting you take a look."
Wang Zheng was so annoyed by her that he lost all his remaining sleepiness.
So he stood up and grabbed both sides of her face, pulling hard.
"Where does your confidence come from? Why do you think I need these things? Chu Xiaoman, let me tell you, don't try to guess my intelligence with your pig brain. Have you forgotten my quantum speed reading method?"
"Ugh... ugh... ugh..."
Chu Xiaoman slapped away Wang Zheng's mischievous hand, then rubbed her round face and angrily scolded:
"You bastard, these two courses are electives, and you haven't attended any of them. Are you sure you don't need them? I'm giving you one last chance to change your mind!"
Wang Zheng's confused mind finally cleared up completely. He thought back and realized that he really had never taken a similar class.
He immediately asked curiously, "Since it's an elective course, why don't I know I've taken it?"
Chu Xiaoman laughed smugly, "Use your pig brain to think about it yourself. The three of us were eating on the second floor, and you said you wanted to earn credits. You heard that you could get credits by passing elective courses, so you asked me to help you choose them."
Wang Zheng frowned and thought about it carefully, and it seemed that there really was such a thing.
Then she asked, "If there are classes, why aren't they on my schedule, and why didn't you ask me to attend any classes?"
"Because elective courses don't require attending every class, as long as you pass the exam, and I myself have hardly ever attended any."
Wang Zheng immediately went to his desk and, after rummaging through it, finally found the two brand-new textbooks, which had been kept at the bottom of his desk.
With a casual flip, Wang Zheng had already memorized the entire contents of the two books in just 10 seconds.
After closing his eyes and experiencing the contents of his mind, Wang Zheng couldn't help but marvel.
I wonder if my mental memory will run out. I scanned so many books into it, and there was no indication that my memory was insufficient.
Then Wang Zheng walked back to the sofa and sat down, saying with a serious expression:
"Being specially admitted by Jingnan University prevented me from showcasing my talents. If I hadn't been specially admitted and had taken the college entrance examination instead, who knows who would have become the top scorer in Jiangnan Province?"
Chu Xiaoman scoffed, "You're just bragging. That's wishful thinking!"
Wang Zheng shook his head indifferently: "Believe it or not, I'm putting my words here. I don't know about others, but no matter how much trouble you cause, I'm sure my score will be higher than yours."
Wu Huan's initial curiosity had worn off, and looking at the two bickering people in front of him, he felt they were being childish.
Then he quietly sat down, resting his chin on his hand, and watched the two clowns continue their performance.
Chu Xiaoman was so angry at Wang Zheng's words that she jumped up and down. Ever since she was tricked by Wang Zheng in the library last time, she had begun to doubt that Wang Zheng could memorize the contents of the book so quickly.
After thinking it over, she concluded that Wang Zheng must have been secretly studying hard, just like he used to practice every night when he came home. She also figured he must have memorized the material beforehand when he went to the library last time.
Suddenly emboldened, she shouted, "Then do you dare to make a bet with me!"
