Chapter 1 Beginning
Under the cold white shadowless light, Fu Quezhou picked up a transparent human larynx specimen with tweezers and admired its texture under the light.
The cuffs of his snow-white research coat were stained with dark red, just like red plum blossoms blooming in the snow, breathtakingly beautiful yet with a hint of chill.
"Specimen 207: The vocal cord structure isn't perfectly preserved."
He was talking to himself, but his eyes glanced at the man in a suit surrounded by six assistants.
The man caught sight of Fu Quezhou's gaze and instinctively trembled. He kowtowed and begged for mercy: "Professor Fu, I was wrong. Please forgive me..."
Fu Quezhou seemed not to hear. He tilted his head slightly, his eyes moving to the wall behind him on the right, and a faint smile with ambiguous meaning slowly appeared at the corner of his mouth.
Then he turned around and said in a low voice, but clearly audible in the silent space. It was unclear whether he was speaking to the man in a suit huddled beside the dissection table, or to the person hiding behind the wall, "Do you think... it's a problem with the formalin concentration?"
"I don't know, Professor Fu, I really don't know. Please don't torture me anymore, please..." The man in the suit was so anxious that he burst into tears and his body couldn't stop shaking.
On the other hand, Fu Quezhou looked down at him with an attitude of superiority, and the coldness in his eyes was like the cold pond in the underworld, which was frightening.
"Why are you crying? You should feel honored to be my living specimen. You know I hate liars the most. I didn't kill you right away because I was kind."
Hiding behind the wall, Su Yumian covered her mouth tightly and dared not make a sound while listening to these words. Her body could not stop shaking.
He never imagined that he had followed out of curiosity but did not want to see this scene.
Three hours ago, he was working overtime to restore a 19th-century human specimen and didn't leave until ten o'clock.
"Mianmian, aren't you leaving yet?"
"You go ahead. I'll go on one more round and then I'll be off duty."
"Okay, I'll be leaving now. See you tomorrow."
"See you tomorrow."
After locking the door of the laboratory, Su Yumian took off his white coat and prepared to go around for a tour before leaving get off work.
At this moment, a white shadow hurriedly passed by and walked towards the right rear of the laboratory.
Looking at the white shadow, Su Yumian was stunned: "Professor Fu? Isn't he on a business trip?"
After being surprised, a hint of shyness appeared on his face, and he muttered, "I might as well ask him if he wants to have a drink together after get off work."
But in a flash, the white shadow disappeared from his sight, and he hurriedly caught up with it.
But the white shadow walked in a hurry and seemed not to notice Su Yumian following behind him.
Looking at this direction, Su Yumian was a little surprised: Isn't this the place to go to the abandoned laboratory? What is he doing here?
Although he felt something was wrong, his fondness for Fu Quezhou still drove him to follow closely.
However, the moment he finally saw the scene clearly, fear overwhelmed him like a tide.
Fu Quezhou actually used living people for specimen experiments!
Su Yumian dug his nails into his palms, and the piercing pain made him barely stay awake.
In a panic, he realized: Oh right, I should call the police.
Fu Quezhou is committing a crime.
He took out his cell phone with trembling hands and was about to call the police when a call came in. The sudden ringing of the cell phone was particularly harsh in the empty abandoned laboratory.
Oops!
Su Yumian's heart skipped a beat, and he hung up the call in a panic. He held his breath and dared not look back. The sound of his pounding heart seemed to be amplified countless times in this quiet place.
He held the phone tightly and covered his mouth with his other hand to prevent his sobs from escaping.
So scary!
Fu Quezhou at this moment and the person he knew were completely different people.
As a professor at the biotechnology company HG, Fu Quezhou is friendly and does everything himself, never making things difficult for his subordinates. This is why he has been secretly in love with Fu Quezhou for three years.
But now, the man in front of him with cold eyes and crazy behavior made Su Yumian feel extremely unfamiliar and frightened.
"Is it scary?"
A familiar voice suddenly sounded, Su Yumian looked up suddenly, and saw a big hand attacking him.
Fu Quezhou grabbed his hair, easily lifted him up from the ground, dragged him to the side of the dissecting table, and made him kneel side by side with the man in the suit.
"He can't answer, so you answer it." Fu Quezhou pointed at Su Yumian and smiled maliciously.
"I, I don't understand this..." His voice trembled, his back pressed against the refrigerator.
The glass of the cabinet door reflected six assistants in protective suits on the opposite side, one of whom was holding a spinal needle.
Hearing this, Fu Quezhou suddenly crushed the larynx and said, "You're lying."
He took off his gloves, revealing fresh cuts on his fingertips. "Do you know why I chose you among so many specimen restorers?"
Su Yumian doesn’t know and doesn’t want to know. Now I just want to leave here quickly.
Seeing that he didn't respond, Fu Quezhou sneered and said, "Because you work seriously, your hands never shake when repairing specimens. The most important thing is..."
He paused, then suddenly moved closer to Su Yumian, lifted his chin, and smiled wickedly: "The most important thing is that you like me. You deliver milk and bread every day, so it's hard to ignore you."
Su Yumian shook her head, feeling a sharp pain in her heart. It turned out that he knew everything, but he always deliberately gave the milk he sent to others.
At first he thought he just didn't like milk, so he switched to juice, but he eventually gave it away.
"Since you know, what else is there to ask?" Su Yumian turned her head away and didn't dare to look at him. It was because Fu Quezhou was very scary now.
Noticing Su Yumian trembling, Fu Quezhou reached out and grabbed his wrist, grinning and saying, "Su Yumian, are you afraid of me?"
"No, no." Su Yumian tried to make his voice sound steady, but the trembling tone still betrayed him.
"Then why don't you dare look at me, huh?" Fu Quezhou persisted, with a hint of teasing in his tone.
"No, I don't want to see it."
Hearing this, Fu Quezhou's face instantly darkened, and he said in a deep voice, "Look at me."
Su Yumian remained unmoved. Seeing him like this, Fu Quezhou reached out and forcibly straightened his head, shouting, "Look at me!!"
Su Yumian had to meet his gaze, and when she saw the madness in his eyes, she felt scared.
He instinctively grabbed Fu Quezhou's wrist and said in a trembling voice, "Quezhou... I didn't see anything. Just pretend you didn't see me and let me go, okay?"
"Let you go?"
Fu Quezhou sneered, immediately grabbed Su Yumian's wrist, pulled him up from the ground, and then pressed him onto the dissection table.
His lower back hit the metal tray, and the surgical instruments scattered all over the floor. Su Yumian was pinned down by Fu Quezhou and could not resist.
"There's no way you would let go of the meat that's been delivered to your door without eating it." Fu Quezhou smiled evilly and used the tip of a scalpel to pick open the buttons of his shirt.
"I originally wanted to wait until I turned you into a specimen before touching you..." The tip of the knife smoothly slid across Su Yumian's collarbone. "After all, when treating a living body, muscle contraction will affect the beauty of the bones."
Upon hearing this, Su Yumian's breathing almost stopped. The cold dissecting table was pressed against his back, and the chill penetrated deep into his bones, forming a sharp contrast with the hot breath coming from Fu Quezhou.
"Don't, don't do this..." His voice was as soft as a mosquito, and the last syllable was cut off by Fu Quezhou's fingers.
The hand clamped his jaw and forced him to raise his head. The cold light of the scalpel flashed before his eyes, reflecting the twisted excitement in Fu Rongzhou's eyes.
The tip of the knife slowly moved down and picked open the second button.
Su Yumian trembled all over, his fingers gripping the edge of the table tightly, his nails turning white from the force.
He wanted to curl up and escape, but Fu Rongzhou's knee dug into his legs, pinning him to the stage.
"You're shaking." Fu Quezhou chuckled, his breath puffing against his ear. "Even your teeth are chattering... How cute."
Su Yumian bit her lower lip, the taste of rust spreading across her tongue.
But he was completely unaware and kept his eyes tightly closed, not daring to move.
But the more you suppress it, the more obvious the trembling of your body becomes.
Fu Quezhou rubbed between his legs, turned his head away in shame and anger, and hot tears slid down his cheeks...
