Seeing Pei Wu remain silent, Jin Wei, though outwardly unchanged, felt his heart pounding even harder. To conceal his feelings, he picked up the coffee on the table and took a sip, leaving a glistening sheen on his moist lips.
Pei Wu smiled and replied with a light smile after noticing the other person's little gesture, "Okay, whatever makes you happy."
In Jin Wei's memory, Pei Wu didn't smile often. She always had a kind of... serious demeanor, and it was quite strange for her to say things like "whatever makes you happy." After a while, he looked up at himself in the mirror.
The dim lighting in the restroom made the small amount of coffee on his lips barely noticeable; however, the dried coffee clung to his skin, making it slightly darker than his surroundings. He took a plain-colored handkerchief from his suit pocket, wiped his hands, and then used it to clean the coffee stain from his lips.
After wiping away the coffee stains, he stood in front of the mirror and examined himself for a long time before reaching out to tidy his hair and tie.
I gradually calmed my rapidly beating heart.
She said she wanted to pursue me.
While adjusting his tie, he unconsciously murmured to himself, and stared at his reflection in the mirror for a long time.
