Chapter 28 The cold-blooded drunkard treated him like a toy.
Gu Shanyue looked Xi Feng up and down, beckoned to him with her finger, and Xi Feng took two steps forward. Gu Shanyue then casually pinched his chest.
Her milky skin instantly turned red; it was soft to the touch, but not as supple and comfortable as the white paulownia wood.
Xi Feng shuddered, his face flushed red, looking quite disheveled, not at all as composed as he had appeared.
Gu Shanyue clicked her tongue lightly and raised an eyebrow, saying, "What can you do? Show me."
She stared intently at Xi Feng's reaction, a half-smile playing on her lips, treating him like she was toying with a toy.
Xi Feng's face paled slightly from the blush, and he could naturally tell that Gu Shanyue was dissatisfied with him.
He lowered his head, a hint of resentment flashing in his eyes, but in an instant he adjusted his posture, and when he raised his face, he lunged forward.
Gu Shanyue nimbly turned around and watched as Xi Feng's pale body fell onto the bed, dizzy and disoriented. She didn't offer any help and even impatiently urged him on.
"Hurry up, how can you serve people like this?"
Xi Feng got out of bed, his eyes falling on the small table. He was afraid that only by using these items could he pique Gu Shanyue's interest.
Who would have thought that the renowned swordsman of Zhuoguang Mountain, the number one swordsman in the martial arts world, would have such a fetish in bed?
With trembling hands, Xi Feng finally chose a black leather chain with a gold bell from among a group of terrifyingly shaped toys.
Black chains slowly wrapped around Xi Feng's fair and beautiful body, binding him up, the bells ringing softly and helplessly.
He looked up, his expression fragile, and said, "I hope you will take pity on Feng'er."
Gu Shanyue chuckled softly, then looked back at the small table and asked critically, "Only one chain?"
Xi Feng's eyes were slightly red, and he looked like a plate of food, carefully arranged and placed in front of Gu Shanyue, waiting for her to stir it with her chopsticks.
But she was still not satisfied.
"Whatever you wish to do, Miss, Feng'er is willing." Xi Feng bit his lip, his expression a mixture of sorrow and affection, as he knelt low before her.
Gu Shanyue's expression was unreadable as she calmly replied, "Alright."
She picked and chose on the small table, finally picking up the most menacing barbed leather whip, and casually swung it, the whip making a whooshing sound as it cut through the air.
Xi Feng visibly flinched, as if he were terrified.
Gu Shanyue glanced at him sideways, then raised her whip and lashed it across his fair face. "You're willing to do this?"
Xi Feng looked at her helplessly, shaking his head with tears in his eyes. He looked so delicate and pitiful that anyone who saw him would feel sorry for him.
But Gu Shanyue clearly had no intention of showing mercy, and the barbed whip was about to lash his face in the next second.
Unexpected changes occurred suddenly.
Xi Feng rolled over, the bell rang loudly, and he took the opportunity to pull out the Emei dagger from the bedside. He spun around and leaped, the sharp dagger aimed at Gu Shanyue's face, his eyes filled with undisguised ferocity and malice.
Gu Shanyue tossed aside the whip, and with a clang, Wugou was drawn from its sheath, its cold light flashing.
The long thorns of the swords clashed and slid together, making a sound that made one's teeth ache.
With a flick of her wrist, Gu Shanyue leaned back and slashed with the tip of her sword, slicing off a piece of flesh from Xi Feng's wrist. Blood splattered onto Gu Shanyue's face.
Without blinking, she flicked her sword with her other hand. Xi Feng felt the sword energy was as cold as ice, about to pierce his back in an instant, and the hairs on the back of his neck stood on end.
Having failed in his first attack, he didn't linger in the fight, not even glancing back, and rushed toward the half-open window.
Hearing the sound of weapons, Qi Baitong burst through the door, brandishing his knife and shouting, "A-Yue!"
Xi Feng leaped out of the window and shouted, "Wu Shan Yu betrayed his master and ancestors, and betrayed Blood Mirage. Does Zhuo Guang Mountain even deserve to be called the Twin Swords of the Martial World!"
Qi Baitong's expression changed drastically, and he rushed over with his sword, but Gu Shanyue said, "No need to chase."
Qi Baitong turned around and saw Gu Shanyue carrying a blood-dripping longsword, thick, bright red blood flowing down half of her beautiful face. She seemed oblivious, simply gazing quietly out the window.
The wind blows the light gauze, causing it to flutter in the distance.
Qi Baitong felt a pang of pain in his heart, knowing how important Wushan Jade was to Gu Shanyue.
This person actually dared to slander Wu Shanyu in front of her. If she ever encounters this vile person again, she will surely take his dog's life.
Qi Baitong stepped forward, reached out his hand, but dared not touch her, and only called her softly.
“Ah Yue…”
Gu Shanyue blinked slightly, his dark eyebrows turning red, and blood dripped down his eyelashes.
Qi Baitong looked around and quickly walked to the wash area behind the screen. There were many fabrics of different materials, but Qi Baitong thought they were all dirty.
He quickly loosened his belt, cut off a piece of his inner garment, wet it, and hurried back. He carefully cupped Gu Shanyue's face, wiping away the sticky blood with tenderness, his movements as gentle as if touching a mist that was about to disappear.
Gu Shanyue stood quietly, letting him wipe her carefully.
Although the blood was wiped away, there were still red marks on her face, so she probably needed to wash it carefully.
"Ah Yue, do you want to take a shower?" Qi Baitong asked her softly.
Gu Shanyue snapped out of her daze, glanced around, and seemed to only then realize where she was.
She shook her head, then nodded, picked up her sword, and walked outside.
When the guests and entertainers outside saw that Gu Shanyue's clothes were stained with red and his long sword was dripping with blood, they were so shocked that they made a commotion and retreated, crowding together.
Gu Shanyue had no eyes for anyone else; she only kept walking outwards.
Qi Baitong stayed close to her, gazing at her calm profile with worry in his eyes.
Hearing the commotion, Li Yaoguang ran out disheveled: "What happened? A-Yue, what's wrong?"
Gu Shanyue's eyes flickered slightly as he glanced at her face, then he simply shook his head.
Li Yaoguang was anxious to step forward, but was stopped by Qi Baitong's outstretched arm, his gaze cold and warning.
If Li Yaoguang hadn't brought Gu Shanyue to the theater, how could others have had the opportunity to take advantage of the situation?
That Xi Feng dared to attempt to assassinate Gu Shanyue; he overestimated his abilities, and his intentions are utterly despicable.
The theater's corridors stretched out in layers, with gauze curtains hanging everywhere. If you walked quickly, the illusory images before your eyes would dazzle you, and the fragrant breeze would rise, as if you had fallen into a bizarre and sweet dream.
Gu Shanyue shook his head uncomfortably, then pushed off with his feet and leaped out of the window amidst gasps of surprise.
Qi Baitong followed closely behind without hesitation.
Gu Shanyue drifted aimlessly among the rooftops of Shengjing City like a wandering ghost, his Wugou Sword still in his hand, never sheathed.
Qi Baitong followed her at a distance, just as he had when he first came to her side.
Gu Shanyue wandered around aimlessly like a headless fly, and Qi Baitong followed suit.
Finally, she stopped above a secluded winery, lay straight back, and floated on the roof like a fallen leaf, as light as nothing.
The distillery reeked of alcohol, not of rich, mellow aroma, but of a pungent, overpowering smell that could make one dizzy. It sold cheap liquor to peddlers and laborers for just a few coins a large jug.
Gu Shanyue lay quietly, bathed in the soft autumn sunlight. She squinted at the clouds in the sky, large and fluffy, drifting by, reminding her of the snow-white hem of her senior sister's dress when she taught her to sway the willow branches like a sparrow.
Gu Shanyue smiled briefly, but the smile quickly faded.
She gripped the Immaculate Sword tightly, wanting to strike with it, but who could she strike?
"Ah Yue, want a drink?"
The sky was clear, and a hand appeared before me, carrying two jugs of wine. The rough earthenware jugs collided with a dull thud.
Gu Shanyue reached out, snatched a wine pot, flicked off the stopper with one hand, and tilted his head back to drink it.
The cheap liquor was extremely spicy and the smell of alcohol made one's nose sting.
Gu Shanyue gulped down a whole pot of wine, then casually tossed the pot aside, and Qi Baitong caught it with his outstretched arm.
Gu Shanyue reached out to him, wanting to take the remaining flask of wine from his hand.
After quickly drinking the wine, her fair face flushed slightly, but her eyes remained empty.
She was unhappy.
Qi Baitong stepped back with the wine pot in his hand, removed the stopper, and like Gu Shanyue, drank it all in one gulp. Then he turned the wine pot upside down and shook it, spilling only a drop or two of wine.
“I’ve finished drinking,” he said.
Gu Shanyue looked at him, but she didn't see him.
She lay back down and did nothing but stare at the sky.
Qi Baitong stood in front of her. After a while, he disappeared and reappeared, and muffled sounds gradually rose.
Gu Shanyue's eyes flickered, and she finally looked at him again.
Qi Baitong held a large string of wine jugs in his hand, hanging them in front of Gu Shanyue, his fingers red from being bound by the rough hemp rope.
"Come on, let's drink."
Gu Shanyue stood up, snatched the wine pot, uncorked it, and drank. In the blink of an eye, he had emptied the pot and kept drinking from it.
She drank silently and fiercely.
Qi Baitong and she drank together, finishing one pot after the other.
The two drank until they were reeking of alcohol, and despite being so heavily intoxicated, they remained firmly standing on the roof.
Gu Shanyue's lips were rosy, her eyes grew brighter and brighter, and her face became increasingly flushed. Until the last pot of wine, Qi Baitong snatched it first, tilted his head back and drank it all down, his Adam's apple bobbing and his neck turning red.
In just a short while, all the wine was finished.
Qi Baitong shook his head, his usually cold and stern face flushed red from drinking, looking rather disheveled.
Gu Shanyue suddenly smiled and patted Qi Baitong's face. "Didn't you say you wouldn't drink?"
The alcohol in his body was bubbling and burning, and Qi Baitong's mind was sluggish. He remembered that he had refused to drink last time.
He shook his head: "I can't drink it."
He was still applying the scar-reducing medication, and drinking alcohol would interfere with its effectiveness.
Gu Shanyue tapped his fingers on a string of earthenware wine pots in his hand, producing a crisp sound.
"Then why are you trying to steal my drink?"
"I'll stay with you."
A cool breeze caressed their faces as the two gazed at each other.
Gu Shanyue suddenly chuckled: "I want to drink more."
Seeing her smile, Qi Baitong smiled too, her canine teeth peeking out from under her lips.
"I'll go buy it."
Gu Shanyue suddenly threw herself into his arms, causing Qi Baitong to sway. He instinctively reached out his arm to protect her, and Gu Shanyue looked up at him.
The empty wine jugs rattled around, making a series of clinking sounds.
"Let's go buy some wine!"
"drink!"
Gu Shanyue leaned against Qi Baitong, and Qi Baitong supported Gu Shanyue. Even though the two experts were drunk, they still walked steadily forward, even walking in a straight line.
It's a pity they were on the roof.
The two of them tumbled off the roof together, the wine jug shattering into tiny pieces, the sound like raindrops beading on a curtain.
Hearing the commotion, the people inside came out cursing and saw a drunkard with a cold expression sitting up in the grass outside.
Although he was drunk, Qi Baitong's face was still full of imposing manner. His sidelong glance was like the appearance of the King of Hell, which frightened the winery worker so much that he turned around and went back, slamming the door shut.
As the sound subsided, Gu Shanyue sprang up from the grass, looking around warily, a few green blades of grass stuck in her hair bobbing with each movement.
"Who goes there!"
Gu Shanyue shouted and leaped out of the bushes.
Nobody paid her any attention.
Gu Shanyue, her face flushed with drunkenness, rubbed her sore bottom and pouted.
Qi Baitong emerged from the bushes with a serious and composed demeanor, carrying several hemp ropes in his hand, but the wine bottles tied to the ropes were all smashed.
The two drunkards stared at each other. Gu Shanyue focused his gaze and pointed his sword at Qi Baitong with a swift motion: "How dare you ambush me! Take this!"
The longsword was sharp and gleaming, and it thrust straight at him.
Qi Baitong only saw Gu Shanyue running towards him, and he grinned, "A-Yue..."
The moment he smiled, Gu Shanyue abruptly stopped and sheathed her sword. She blinked at him for a while, then burst into tears, her words a jumbled mess.
Qi Baitong quickly pulled her into his arms, gently stroking her head with his palm to soothe her.
Gu Shanyue lay on his chest, crying like a child.
This commotion attracted some reckless individuals who cautiously peeked out to watch the spectacle.
Qi Baitong's sharp gaze swept over them, scaring those who had poked their heads out into hiding. Qi Baitong then carried Gu Shanyue away.
Gu Shanyue kept howling, and he kept flying until he reached the wild mountain peaks outside Shengjing.
Gu Shanyue pouted, and when she looked up, Qi Baitong's eyes were also red. She said, "Why are you crying too?"
She reached out and wiped away his tears, but Qi Baitong's tears continued to flow silently.
Gu Shanyue stopped wiping and started crying too.
On a desolate mountaintop, two people embraced and wept bitterly, their loud cries startling the birds in the forest into flying away.
