Pudding x Zhuang Zhuo ①
Zhuang Zhuo is the owner of a dairy farm.
Two new bulls arrived at the ranch today, specifically for breeding.
He personally named each cow in the shed. After staring at these two for a while, he smiled and said, "From now on, one of you will be called Huajuan (Steamed Bun) and the other Pudding (Pudding), how about that?"
Huajuan flicked its tail, lowered its head to nibble on the hay beside it, and didn't react much. Pudding, however, raised its head and mooed twice at him, its wet eyes shining, as if it truly accepted the name.
According to the rules, new cattle must first acclimatize in the isolation pen for three days. Zhuang Zhuo comes to check on them every day and adds some extra feed.
After passing the veterinary quarantine, on the day of mating, Huajuan obediently followed the feeder into the cow pen, cooperating perfectly. But Pudding stubbornly backed away, refusing to budge no matter how much she was coaxed.
Zhuang Zhuo scooped a spoonful of corn kernels from the container next to him and held it to Pudding's mouth. "Be good, I'll add a couple more handfuls of seasoning after I'm done, more than you would with a steamed bun, how about that?"
Pudding sniffed the corn, picked up a kernel and chewed on it, but still didn't move. It even seemed quite scared. Zhuang Zhuo was a little troubled, so he decided to let Pudding get used to it for a couple more days.
That night, he had a dream in which a boy appeared, and he smelled of milk.
The boy stood quietly in front of him, his skin fair, and when he looked up, his big, watery eyes resembled two black grapes.
The boy took a small step forward, his voice tinged with timidity: "Boss, please don't make me mate with the cow, okay?"
In the dream, Zhuang Zhuo asked, "Why?"
The boy remained silent, only biting his lip, as if he had something difficult to say.
The next morning, Zhuang Zhu woke up and remembered his dream from the previous night. He couldn't help but laugh. He had actually had such an absurd dream.
But he didn't expect that something even more absurd would happen.
I had just finished washing up when my phone rang. The zookeeper shouted on the other end, "Boss! Something terrible has happened!"
Zhuang Zhuo asked casually, "What is it?"
"Pudding... Pudding..."
"It refuses to mate?"
"No! Pudding produced milk!"
"ah?"
Ten minutes later, Zhuang Zhuo and the herdsman stood outside Pudding's cattle pen, staring blankly at the scene inside.
In the morning light, Pudding lay on a pile of hay. Beside its feeding trough was a milking bucket originally intended for cows. The bucket was already half full of milky white liquid, still carrying a fresh, warm scent, clearly indicating that it had just been born.
Zhuang Zhuo was starting to question the meaning of life. Could someone tell him why male dairy cows produce milk?
He turned to the zookeeper: "Are you sure it's male?"
The zookeeper quickly replied, "Of course! I checked it when it was unloaded, and the veterinarian also checked it. It's male! Besides, Huajuan was transported with it, and both of them are male."
"Go and call the vet over, and have him examine Pudding."
The veterinarian arrived quickly, squatted down beside Pudding and examined it for a long time. When he stood up, his face was grave: "It's most likely a strange disease. I suggest you stop keeping it."
No sooner had he said that than Pudding suddenly stood up from the haystack, mooed twice at Zhuang Zhuo, and kept pawing at the ground with its hooves.
Zhuang Zhuo stared at Pudding for a while, his brows furrowed, then turned and told the zookeeper to take the veterinarian back first.
Once the area quieted down, leaving only him, Pudding, and the cow, he leaned against the railing, wondering how he could have gotten sick when everything was normal during the quarantine.
Just then, Pudding mooed twice more, its voice even more urgent than before.
Zhuang Zhuo looked up and froze on the spot.
Pudding in the pen was enveloped in a faint white light. His spotted fur gradually disappeared like the receding tide, and his body slowly shrank and straightened. In a short while, the original male cow turned into a boy, exactly like the one in his dream.
Zhuang Zhuo opened his mouth, but couldn't say anything for a long time. His head was buzzing.
The boy looked at Zhuang Zhuo, his voice panicked: "Boss, I'm not sick, really not. Don't listen to the vet, please don't abandon me, okay?"
Looking at the reddened corners of the other's eyes, Zhuang Zhuo managed to squeeze out a sentence with a hint of disbelief: "You... are Pudding?"
The boy nodded quickly, his head lowered slightly: "Yeah. I don't know what happened. I was a cow a few days ago, and yesterday I suddenly turned into a human. But I'm really not sick, and I won't cause any trouble for the farm. Please don't abandon me."
"Not sick? Then are you a monster?" Zhuang Zhuo's voice carried a hint of wariness.
After all, no one can easily accept a cow suddenly turning into a human.
Pudding's eyes welled up with tears when she saw that he doubted her. She took two steps forward and tried to grab Zhuang Zhuo's hand, repeatedly explaining, "I'm not a monster, I'm just Pudding! I don't know why I turned into a human, but I really don't have any bad intentions and I won't hurt you."
As he was speaking, Zhuang Zhuo suddenly felt a heat on the back of his hand. He looked down and saw a drop of milky white liquid.
Before he could react, he looked up and saw a shocking scene.
Pudding panicked and hurriedly tried to cover herself with her hands, her face turning bright red, her voice trembling with tears: "I didn't mean to, I don't know why this happened."
He woke up yesterday and found that he could turn into a human and produce strange things, but he was a bull, not a cow, and he didn't know why this was happening. He was very scared, which is why he didn't want to mate.
Zhuang Zhuo's Adam's apple bobbed violently, the warmth on the back of his hand became more and more obvious, the milky white liquid slid down between his fingers, and the rich milky aroma rushed into his nostrils.
He turned his head, his voice a little hoarse: "Never mind, come out with me."
Pudding panicked a little: "W-where are we going?"
Zhuang Zhuo simply waved his hand: "Just go, why are you making so many noises?"
Pudding dared not ask any more questions and could only follow Zhuang Zhuo. She wondered if Zhuang Zhuo was going to throw her out or send her to the slaughterhouse. The more she thought about it, the more frightened she became, until she followed Zhuang Zhuo to the rest room of the farm.
Zhuang Zhuo doesn't usually live at the farm, but he occasionally takes a nap here, so he has a single bed and a few clothes in the room.
He pulled out a piece of clothing and tossed it to Pudding: "Put this on."
You can't keep your clothes wet forever.
Pudding caught the clothes and whispered, "Thank you, boss."
The boss didn't kick him out; he even gave him clothes to wear. The boss is so kind.
Having never been a human being before, he didn't know anything about taboos, so he took off his clothes right in front of Zhuang Zhuo.
Just as Zhuang Zhuo was about to turn around to pour a glass of warm water, he caught a glimpse of this scene out of the corner of his eye, and his whole body froze instantly.
Without clothing to obstruct the view, the sights seen firsthand are especially striking.
He abruptly turned his face away: "Can't you turn your back to change?"
Pudding was startled by his suddenly raised voice and quickly said, "I'm sorry."
Before he could turn around, Zhuang Zhuo felt a warm sensation in his nasal cavity. Before he could raise his hand to cover it, he heard Pudding exclaim, "Boss, you're bleeding from your nose!"
Zhuang Zhuo then realized what was happening and hurriedly tried to wipe it with the back of his hand, his fingertips instantly getting stained with red.
Pudding panicked and reached out to Zhuang Zhuo's cheek, trying to wipe away the blood from his nose.
Zhuang Zhuo watched his flustered appearance, but his gaze couldn't help but drift downwards. The eye-catching scenery swayed with his movements, mixed with an increasingly strong milky smell, making him feel uneasy.
Zhuang Zhuo took a deep breath and said in a hoarse voice, "Stop wiping."
Pudding's hand froze in mid-air, looking bewildered.
Zhuang Zhuo avoided his gaze, took two tissues from the box and handed them to him, "You wipe yourself first."
Pudding made two "oh oh" sounds and quickly bent down to wipe. But the liquid seemed endless, and the more she wiped, the more it appeared.
Looking at the liquid covering his hands, his eyes instantly reddened, and his voice trembled with tears: "I can't wipe it off, no matter how I try, I can't wipe it off. Boss, is there really something wrong with me?"
"If you can't wipe it off, squeeze it out."
"But...but I don't know how." He was a bull; he wouldn't know any of this.
Pudding tried to press it with her hand, but as soon as she applied force, she gasped in pain and hissed softly.
He pouted, his eyes reddening even more, and looked at Zhuang Zhuo with a pitiful expression: "Boss, I might not be able to fix it properly, it still hurts a little..."
Seeing his helpless appearance, Zhuang Zhu cursed inwardly, "What a mess!"
He gritted his teeth: "Don't move, I'll do it."
He had helped cows before, but this was the first time he had done this for a person.
As soon as I placed my hand on it, I felt a soft, yielding sensation in my palm.
