Meng Yu didn't know why, but from childhood to adulthood, no matter what he did, as long as he ran into his half-brother, he would always be made to look like a clown.
He was clearly the rightful eldest son of the Meng family, while Meng Yizhou was just an illegitimate child who couldn't be brought into the light. Yet, Meng Yizhou seemed to be born with good luck and could always easily outmaneuver him.
In his senior year of high school, he was expelled from school due to a mysterious cheating incident, becoming a laughing stock in the entire circle.
That day he locked himself in his room and smashed all the furniture.

A deep voice suddenly sounded from behind.
Meng Yu turned around abruptly and saw a tall, blurry figure standing in the shadows. The features were hidden in the darkness and could not be clearly seen, but the eyes glowed with a ghostly red light, like two flickering will-o'-the-wisps.
"Because he is the protagonist of this world," the voice said slowly, "and you are nothing but cannon fodder on his road to success, born to be trampled under his feet."
"cannon fodder?"
“Yes.” After a few seconds of pause, the other person added, with a hint of seduction in their tone, “If you need it, I can help you. But you will have to pay a price.”
Meng Yu stared at those scarlet, burning, lustful eyes and remained silent for a long time.
Suddenly, he raised his hand and lifted the hem of his shirt.
He stepped into the shadows until he could clearly feel the scorching heat emanating from the other person.
The shadows receded slightly, revealing the ferocious outline of the creature: a blue face with fangs, and dark scales that gleamed with a cold, hard light in the dim light. It was an extremely terrifying-looking monster.
But Meng Yu felt no fear whatsoever. He simply leaned forward slightly and gently brought the crimson liquid to the other person's lips.
"Then, please help me."
