Chen Yi x Xu Taiqing ①

Chen Yi x Xu Taiqing ①

Xu Taiqing has been feeling uneasy lately.

My sneakers, which I'd only worn for a few days, inexplicably developed a crack in the sole. My earphones and charger, which I casually left on the table, would disappear a few minutes later.

He suspected it was someone in his dorm. To find out who was behind it, he bought a miniature surveillance camera and secretly installed it on the bookshelf next to his seat.

Two days passed, and apart from the roommates' normal activities, there was nothing unusual in the surveillance footage.

Xu Taiqing thought he was being too sensitive and paranoid. But on the third day, he caught the murderer.

The surveillance footage showed the dormitory was quiet; everyone else had left. The curtain on the upper bunk opposite him was lifted, and a figure crept down—it was Chen Yi.

Having shared a dorm room for a year, Xu Taiqing could count the number of times he had spoken to Chen Yi on one hand. The other was practically invisible, his presence so low it was almost negligible. And precisely because of this, Xu Taiqing never suspected him.

However, in the surveillance footage, Chen Yi walked straight to his wardrobe, fumbled around on the door with his fingers for a moment, and then opened the door with practiced ease.

He rummaged through it, precisely picking out Xu Taiqing's most treasured autographed jersey, then took out a pair of scissors from his pocket and, without hesitation, cut a hole in the back.

Xu Taiqing stared at the screen, his temples suddenly throbbing.

He was having dinner with friends, and his anger was so intense that he couldn't eat anymore. He slammed his chopsticks on the table and got up to leave.

His friend was startled: "Hey, you've only eaten half! Where are you going?"

Xu Taiqing gritted his teeth: "Beat him up."

On his way back to the dorm, all he could think about was how to pin Chen Yi to the ground and beat him up. He also turned on the security camera to see what other tricks Chen Yi might pull. But when he saw it, he suddenly stopped in his tracks.

In the surveillance footage, Chen Yi had returned to his seat and was standing in front of the wardrobe taking off his clothes. He slowly lifted his faded old T-shirt, revealing a small patch of porcelain-white waist and abdomen.

Xu Taiqing stared at the screen, a cold smile playing on his lips. If this kid didn't obediently apologize and compensate him when he got back, he would print out the naked image of the guy from the surveillance footage and plaster it all over the dormitories and classrooms, letting the whole school see what this shameless scoundrel looked like.

However, the next second, his eyes froze.

Chen Yi squatted down, dragged an old cardboard box from the bottom of the wardrobe, rummaged through it for a while, and pulled out a black dress.

He turned his back to the camera and put on the dress, slowly pulling the zipper from the back waist to the top, outlining his slender and well-defined shoulder line. The black color made his skin appear even whiter.

The dormitory was empty. He let down his guard and tried to turn around in front of the full-length mirror. His skirt spread out like a blooming dark flower bud.

Perhaps feeling that this wasn't enough, he took out his phone and pointed the camera at himself in the mirror.

In the surveillance footage, Chen held up her phone with one hand and lifted a corner of her skirt with the other, revealing most of her fair leg, almost exposing the fabric underneath.
