Jiang Yili x Qiu Ye ③

Jiang Yili x Qiu Ye ③

The third meeting was at the bar owned by Qiu Ye. He rarely came to oversee the business and was discussing business with several partners at the bar when he saw Jiang Yili push the door open and walk in.

The bar was dimly lit, and the heavy metal music was so loud it made your eardrums vibrate, which clashed with the clean-cut aura of the young master.

This was the first time Qiu Ye had seen him without a suit; he was wearing a soft blue sweater that made his skin look even whiter.

Before Qiu Ye could speak, Jiang Yili had already walked through the crowd to him and obediently called out, "Husband."

The partners next to him couldn't help but gasp, glancing at Qiu Ye with looks that said, "You're something else, kid." They already knew about Qiu Ye's arranged marriage, but they hadn't expected this young master of the Jiang family to be like this.

Qiu Ye glared at them before turning to Jiang Yili: "Why are you here?"

Jiang Yili handed the small paper bag in her hand forward: "I brought you cookies, I baked them myself."

The bag also has a crooked little bear drawn on it, which is obviously handmade.

Qiu Ye took the bag, and a sweet aroma of butter mixed with icing sugar wafted out. He squeezed it through the packaging; it felt round and plump.

The young master actually made cookies for him by hand...

He forcibly pressed his lips to his mouth, raised his chin arrogantly, and gestured to the bar: "Sit over there first, I'll be right there."

Jiang Yili nodded and whispered, "Then come find me when you're done with your work." After saying that, she walked to the spot Qiu Ye pointed to and obediently sat down.

"Well done, Yezi, this young master really cares about you, he even baked cookies himself." One of the partners nudged Qiu Ye's arm and winked at him, "What a lucky guy."

Qiu Ye chuckled, tore open the paper bag, pinched a cookie, and stuffed it into his mouth. It was cloyingly sweet, and the edges were a bit burnt, so the taste wasn't exactly great. But he didn't spit it out, and mumbled, "What a waste of time."

That's what she said, but she didn't stop eating cookies.

Another partner leaned over and reached into the bag to take a piece: "Can we have some too?"

Qiu Ye quickly hid the bag behind his back: "Dream on."

After finishing his work, he turned to look for Jiang Yili, only to find the seat empty. He frowned, took out his phone to message Jiang Yili, but received no reply.

"Where is he?" he asked the bartender next to him.

"It seems like they just went towards the restroom."

Qiu Ye strode toward the bathroom, but stopped as soon as he turned the corner.

Jiang Yili was standing at the bathroom door, half supporting and half helping a drunk man. The man's head was drooping, and one hand was resting improperly on Jiang Yili's waist, with his fingers twitching slightly.

“Honey,” Jiang Yili said urgently as she saw him, “this gentleman seems to be in a lot of pain; he suddenly fainted just now…”

He was completely unaware of how ambiguous the hand on his waist was, and was still earnestly explaining the situation, his face full of worry.

Qiu Ye's temper flared up instantly. Was this young master completely out of his mind? Didn't he even realize he was being taken advantage of?

Without a word, he rushed over, grabbed the man's arm, and shoved him away like trash. The drunkard stumbled against the wall, mumbled something incoherently, and slid to the ground.

Jiang Yili, who was standing to the side, was stunned.

Qiu Ye frowned: "You didn't see him touching you inappropriately?"

Jiang Yili then belatedly looked down at her waist, then at the unconscious man on the ground. A look of confusion flashed across her face before she blushed and whispered, "I didn't know... He just fainted, and I just wanted to help him up..."

Seeing his aggrieved and bewildered expression, Qiu Ye felt a surge of anger, his temples throbbing with suppressed rage. He took a deep breath, turned around, and kicked the drunkard on the ground twice.

"Damn it, they dare to touch my people? They're tired of living!"

After scolding her, he grabbed Jiang Yili and started to walk out, but after only a few steps, Jiang Yili gently struggled and whispered, "It hurts."

Qiu Ye suddenly stopped and looked down to see that the young master's slender, white wrist was already red. A sense of annoyance welled up in his heart; he had forgotten that the young master's skin was so delicate and couldn't withstand such force.

Just as she was about to relax her grip, Jiang Yili looked up, not mentioning the pain in her hand, and instead said, "Honey, you just said I'm yours."

Qiu Ye was choked by his words, having completely forgotten how much he had disliked this arranged marriage not long ago. He turned his face away and muttered, "...It was the case anyway, we were about to get engaged."

"Then don't be angry, honey." Jiang Yili shook his hand that wasn't being held, her voice slightly ingratiating. "It's not good to get angry."

But it was no use. Qiu Ye was still holding his breath, thinking to himself that he should go back and give him a couple more kicks.

Jiang Yili frowned, looking distressed. How could she appease her husband?

Suddenly, a sticky, panting sound came from the nearby emergency exit. Qiu Ye's face darkened instantly. He tried to pull Jiang Yili away quickly, but she suddenly grabbed his hand.

Qiu Ye turned around: "Why aren't you leaving?"

Jiang Yili blushed, her eyes darting away, but she still mustered the courage to take Qiu Ye's hand.

His hand trembled slightly as he guided Qiu Ye's hand towards his chest, his voice barely audible, "Husband...would you like to touch me?"

Touching it will make you feel better, right?
