Noah x Syndra ③

Noah x Syndra ③

On the day of the ball, Noah brought a bowl of beans mixed with grit to prevent Syndra from sneaking into the venue.

"Pick out all the beans. I'll check them when I get back tonight. Not a single one can be missing."

He thought the idea was brilliant.

Syndra took it, said nothing, squatted down and started picking beans.

After Noah finished dressing, he deliberately walked around to Syndra's side before leaving, and with a light flick of his ankle, the plate full of beans crashed to the ground with a crash, and the beans mixed with gravel rolled all over the ground.

Syndra looked up and saw Noah making a face at him.

"Noah, stop fooling around! Get in the carriage, we're going to be late!" The elder brother in the carriage leaned out and urged.

"Coming!" Noah responded, then turned to Syndra with a smug smile, his voice trailing off, "I'm going to the ball, and the prince might even invite me to dance. You can just stay here and slowly pick up beans, poor little Syndra."

Just as he was about to step into the car, Syndra grabbed his wrist.

"Second brother, your clothes are ripped."

Noah panicked instantly, frantically groping behind him, "Where? Where's it cracked?"

“The cut at the back is quite large.” Syndra released her hand and pointed to the back of his suit. “Let me sew it up for you. The needle and thread are in my room, it’ll be done soon.”

"Hurry up!" Noah stamped his foot anxiously, afraid of delaying the ball. He hurriedly shouted to his father and brothers in the carriage, "Wait for me for five minutes. I'll be right there after I finish sewing my clothes."

Noah followed Syndra into his cramped and dreary attic, still urging him to "hurry up and sew, don't make me late for the ball," when suddenly his wrist was wrapped with a cold rope.

Syndra moved quickly and ruthlessly, and in the blink of an eye, she had tied his hands behind his back and pressed him to the bed.

What are you doing!

Noah struggled to shout, but Syndra covered his mouth, pressing her palm against his lips, preventing any sound from escaping.

Syndra ignored his struggles and called out to the crowd below, "Father! Eldest brother! Second brother said he suddenly has a stomachache and wants you to go to the ball first. He'll come as soon as he feels better."

The stepfather's voice came from downstairs: "Why are you suddenly feeling unwell?"

"It seems like he took too many diet pills." Syndra said calmly, but pressed her palms even tighter, not letting Noah make a sound.

Noah's father and brothers knew that he had been dieting for the ball, so they didn't suspect anything. They just urged him to hurry up, and then they heard the sound of the carriage driving away.

Syndra finally released his grip, and Noah immediately glared at him, panting, "Syndra, are you crazy! Let go of me! Or I'll have Father punish you!"

Syndra didn't speak, but leaned closer and whispered, "Second brother, now it's just the two of us left at home."

As he spoke, he firmly bound Noah between the bed and himself, looking down at him like a wolf eyeing its struggling prey.

Noah felt a chill run down his spine from his gaze and struggled to shrink back. "Let me go! I need to go to the ball. The prince is waiting for me."

“A prince?” Syndra smiled, her fingertips sliding down to Noah’s collar. “Second brother, do you think a prince would like a spoiled brat who only knows how to bully others and can’t even dress himself?”

Noah, his sore spot touched, blushed bright red: "I'm not a delicate person! It's not that I can't dress myself, it's just that the clothes are too small!"

"Yes, the clothes are too small," Syndra replied casually, her fingertips continuing to slide down without stopping.

Noah trembled all over from the touch, tears welling up in his eyes, but he still stubbornly said, "Don't do anything reckless! Father will beat you to death if he finds out."

"Okay, got it." Syndra replied readily, but her actions didn't stop for a second.

Noah suddenly felt a chill and his expression turned panicked. What was Syndra going to do?

"No...don't do this..." He was terrified and crawled forward on all fours, but he had only crawled a couple of steps when Syndra pulled him back.

"Second brother, don't run away. Weren't you very capable when you bullied me before?"

Noah was pulled so hard his back slammed into Syndra's chest. He panicked even more, his voice trembling with tears: "I'll never bully you again, please let me go, Syndra..."

No, don't let go.

"Waaah..."

Noah's legs were suddenly spread apart, and his eyes widened in shock. Then, tears streamed down his face like beads from a broken string.

What is this...?

How strange... How strange... Don't do this to him...

My head is so dizzy... my eyes are blurry... they feel so sore... my head is swollen... I'm going to die...

“My poor child, Syndra, are you sad because you don’t have a dress for the ball? Are you… Oh God! What are you doing!” A sudden voice rang out in the attic.

Noah's once exquisite and beautiful face had lost its luster and was now a mess. He stared blankly at the ceiling, unresponsive to anything around him.

Syndra paused, forced to turn around.

At the doorway stood an old man in a white cloak, clutching a magic wand. He covered his eyes with one hand, but his fingers were wide open as he peeked in their direction.

"Who are you?" he asked coldly.

"I am your godfather!" The old man lowered his hand from his eyes, straightened his cloak, and despite his slightly embarrassed expression, dutifully announced, "My dear child, I'm here to help you attend the ball! I can turn the pumpkins in the backyard into gilded carriages, sew you a magnificent gown adorned with pearls, and conjure up the most dazzling crystals in the world for you..."

"roll."

"……OK."
