Chapter Forty-Seven Ranking

Chapter Forty-Seven Ranking

The venue was rearranged, and after the invited judges left, the empty seats on both sides of the T-stage where the invited judges had been sitting were filled by the trainees.

The tiered seating was completely empty, and the lights under the seats were all dimmed, leaving the back vacant.

All five mentors stood on the stage, and there were even more staff members filming on site than during the initial stage recording.

The ranking and score of each performance are announced immediately after the performance, and with a little attention, you can find out which team is ranked third to last.

Ren Yuchen naturally took on the role of analyst in the team. During the meal, he informed everyone which four teams were ranked last according to their scores.

Before entering, Meng Fanxi glanced at the teams ranked last. They all looked pale and dejected, as if they had already been eliminated.

But looking at the scene before him, he felt something was amiss.

The process of revealing the rankings may not be so simple.

The six members of the Eternal Six Stars were arranged in the first row, with the camera almost shoved in their faces. Zhang Yang frowned slightly and gestured to the cameraman to move back a bit.

Meng Fanxi nudged him with her elbow and whispered, "Watch your expression."

Zhang Yang's brows relaxed. "Mm."

Once the recording began, all five mentors held cue cards and had formal, serious expressions.

Yun Mengtao spoke first: "Do you remember what I said before the first stage started? The results of the first stage will consist of two parts. Now, please welcome Teacher Ye Ni to reveal them."

Right, Meng Fanxi then realized that the stage results were not the final score.

But stage performance should be the most convincing, so could there be some variables?

They were only 4 points behind WONE, so if they managed to overtake them in the other part of the score, they would be at a disadvantage.

Meng Fanxi was caught up in terrifying thoughts, and her expression unconsciously became conflicted. Just then, someone lightly touched her arm, and a cold, low voice came from beside her ear: "Watch your expression."

"..." Zhang Yang turned the tables on him.

Instead of asking directly, Ye Ni asked, "Do you still remember the team registration form you filled out before going on stage?"

Where was the form filled out on the big screen in that room?

The trainees looked at each other, their faces full of questions. There was so much to fill out, and the staff kept reminding them to pay attention to the time. They couldn't remember what they had filled out.

Ye Ni was amused by everyone's reaction, "One of the items you filled in was the expected level."

Meng Fanxi remembered that there was such an option. There were four options: S, A, B, and C. When they saw that it was the same as the rating system of the Will Company, Xu You quickly chose the S level without waiting for Lin Ruohe to react.

The current rating system for the show's stage is also based on these four levels. Could it be that...?

Ye Ni guessed exactly what Meng Fanxi had in mind: "Teams whose expected level does not match their actual level will have points deducted. The total score for the initial stage performance will be a combination of the stage score and the deducted points in a proportional manner."

"That was close." Meng Fanxi's shoulders relaxed. At the time, they were a little worried about Xu You's decisiveness and almost decided to play it safe and choose A-level.

Xu You, now feeling smug, said with a proud expression, "Look, it's all thanks to me."

The other five people sighed and laughed.

But most trainees weren't as lucky as them. The studio erupted in excitement again, with some even letting out short gasps before Ye Ni had finished speaking.

"Oh no, we filled it in too high!"

"Sorry, I filled in too low a number. I meant to be more humble..."

"Do we still have a chance? The scores of these last few teams are all quite close."

Zhang Ruizheng looked regretful: "If I had known that S-level was so difficult to achieve, I should have filled in A-level." He apologized to his teammates: "Sorry, it was my mistake."

Jin Ziran's hands, hidden in her pockets, clenched tightly and trembled slightly, but her face remained impassive as she gently comforted him, "It's okay, it shouldn't cost us many points."

Seeing this, the others also comforted Zhang Ruizheng.

Yun Mengtao continued the process: "Next, our five mentors will announce the groups ranked first to thirteenth based on the overall scores."

Zhu Lou revealed: "Thirteenth place, Scenic View F7, C level."

Yun Mengtao added, "By the way, your ranking will determine your training and living conditions in the show."

Meng Fanxi's eyes lit up, and she immediately began to look forward to the dormitory selection process.

After the rankings were announced, the teams, guided by the production team, once again took to their tiered seats.

The trainees also applauded in response, sending them off as they walked up the steps to their seats, at least ensuring they had safely reached the next checkpoint.

The Shengjing F7 wasn't ranked very high. I stood near the bottom of the tiered seating area, and the light under the seat immediately turned grayish-white, barely providing any brightness.

Tan Yi then announced: "Twelfth place, Zhiqiao Boys, C grade."

Fu Hanfei: "Eleventh place, Dream, Grade B."

Dream stood on a higher spot, and the light under her seat turned pink.

It seems that each level has a different color. Meng Fanxi looked up at the top.

The group's announcement has unknowingly brought them to Grade A.

All A-level combinations should not be underestimated.

Zhu Lou announced: "Fifth place, paradox, A grade. Congratulations."

Paradox's captain was a little disappointed; they should have been fourth, but they filled in "S" in the prediction, and after the points were deducted, they became fifth.

However, without showing any regret, they walked up to the higher part of the tiered seating area, where the synchronized area turned blue.

Ye Ni: "Fourth place, Zero Degree, Grade A. Congratulations." The Zero Degree team looked delighted.

Fu Hanfei looked at the list in his hand, then at the audience, and raised an eyebrow. "Third place, WONE, A-level. Congratulations."

Meng Fanxi was somewhat surprised but did not stop clapping. He quickly turned around and watched WONE stand up. He did not miss the venomous look that flashed in Jin Zi's eyes.

The seven members of WONE didn't look well, and they even disregarded formation, walking up the stairs in a scattered manner.

He glanced at Zhang Yang sideways. Zhang Yang had no expression and had already turned around and sat down to wait for the rankings to be announced. Noticing Meng Fanxi's scrutiny, he tilted his head slightly, his calm eyes revealing a penetrating gaze.

Meng Fanxi silently looked away.

Tan Yi then announced: "Second place, the Seven Sons of Wanxiang, Grade A. Congratulations."

"Yay!" The seven people jumped up, very excited, which improved the atmosphere in the studio.

After all the A-level teams stepped up, only the six-star Eternal and a few lower-ranked teams remained in place.

Meng Fanxi looked at the queues on the steps. The people in the dozen or so queues seemed quite happy, chatting and laughing with each other.

Of the four teams ranked A, half were unhappy.

The first place winner was announced by Yun Mengtao. A gentle smile appeared on her lips as her soft gaze fell on the team below the stage.

"First place, six eternal stars, S-rank. Congratulations."

They walked up the steps, surrounded by applause and the crowd of people standing sideways.

He was still staring intently at the center of everyone's attention.

This time it's at the very top.

Once they were in their positions, the lights under their seats quickly turned golden, bright and dazzling.

The feeling of looking down on everything was wonderful, and Meng Fanxi couldn't help but smile.

"The seats that are rightfully ours will always be ours." Xu You glanced at Jin Ziran, who was clapping along with everyone below, with a hint of arrogance in his voice.

Even knowing that many cameras were focused on them, Xu You didn't care at all. He only knew that he had won the first battle, and he was overjoyed.

Jin Ziran naturally heard these words, and his expression only wavered for a second before returning to normal.

Meng Fanxi thought to himself that his disguise was becoming more and more secure.

Once all the teams that would remain were confirmed, Yun Mengtao's expression turned serious. She looked at the few teams sitting below the stage, all of whom looked dejected.

A hint of reluctance flickered in her eyes: "Before announcing the elimination results, I want you to know that no matter what the outcome is here, no one can defeat you except yourselves."

She said the same thing before her first stage performance, but not many people listened at the time.

Now, the teams on the verge of elimination felt a mix of sadness and complex emotions upon hearing these words.

Yun Mengtao took a deep breath, paused for a few seconds, and then said with determination, "Now let's reveal the three teams that have been eliminated."

She looked at the red building.

Zhu Lou didn't have much qualms. He himself came from a brutal competition show, so he announced it all at once: "Eighteenth place, one bar of signal; Seventeenth place, Buoyancy Boy; Sixteenth place, Western Street."

His calm tone sounded rather cold at this moment: "These teams, please leave the field immediately. I'm sorry, you have been eliminated."

They weren't even allowed to give their elimination speeches.

The atmosphere in the studio froze instantly, falling into a cold silence. Everyone watched as the three teams walked silently toward the exit with their shoulders slumped and heads bowed.

Only after the exit door was closed did the air seem to gradually begin to flow.

Yun Mengtao: "There are still two teams whose rankings have not been announced." She looked at the two groups, "Now, one of you will be placed in a pending state."

In the end, only two teams remained: Fancy and SEVEN, both of which happened to be seven-member teams.

Looking at Zhong Chu's dejected figure with his head down, Meng Fanxi felt a little hopeful that his team wouldn't be left in limbo.

"Please announce the final rankings of these two teams, Professor Ye Ni."

Ye Ni nodded and picked up the microphone: "Let's announce the fourteenth place first."

"Congratulations, Seven, fourteenth place, Class C. Please proceed to your assigned positions."

The seven members of SEVEN breathed a sigh of relief, hugged each other for a few seconds, and then walked towards the tiered seating area.

The members of Fancy sat there disappointed, bewildered and unsure of what lay ahead.

Ye Ni's mature voice rang out: "It's a pity, Fancy, you got fifteenth place. Although you won't be eliminated for now, you're in the waiting list."

The word "temporary" made them wary.

Yun Mengtao didn't keep everyone confused for long. She looked directly at all the trainees on the steps and said, "Whether the Fancy group will be eliminated depends on all the teams here."

What?

The trainees looked at each other, their eyes filled with confusion.

Zhu Lou and Fu Hanfei, who were standing on either side of the mentors, couldn't help but laugh at the scene. Yun Mengtao then explained, "Now, I will reveal the rules for the pending status."

Everyone listened intently.

"The pending state is..."

"Disassemble."

!!

They're actually going to disassemble it?

Yun Mengtao didn't give the shocked trainees time to discuss it.

"In other words, the current Fancy group no longer exists, and each member is an independent individual."

"Whether they stay or leave depends on whether you are willing to accept them."

"Now you have 20 minutes to discuss and decide whether to accept any members into your group."

Trainees who are not accepted by any team will be eliminated directly.
