After Lin Yue finished looking around, her consciousness left the space.
Now that she had the space, she didn't bother figuring out how it came to be. She simply put the half-peeled apple into the space to test its performance, specifically its preservation capabilities.
The bracelet was too big to hang around her neck, so Lin Yue simply put it on her wrist. Space is a mysterious thing, so it's reasonable for the bracelet to be a little mysterious as well.
The bracelet disappeared from her wrist, leaving only an unidentified emerald green flower on her left wrist.
A few petals twist slightly, with small points, and six pistils extend from the center of the flower, also twisting gracefully like phoenix feathers, which is quite beautiful.
Lin Yue didn't feel much emotion. She just felt that this family heirloom, apart from causing the deaths of her parents and being disliked by others, was not bad in other aspects.
No matter how much she dislikes it, this is something her parents risked their lives to protect. Now that she has space again, it's not that she can't accept it. Besides, it's a guarantee her parents gave her.
Lying back on the bed, Lin Yue looked at her wrist and fell into deep thought.
She used to enjoy reading novels when she was still innocent and lively. As long as it didn't interfere with her work or studies, she would read novels and rarely watch dramas.
Now that the space has appeared, coupled with the dream she's been having for the past two months, she strongly suspects that this dream might really be a premonition of the impending apocalypse.
After all, if you don't time travel or get reborn, space is just a standard feature in the apocalypse.
Filled with doubt, Lin Yue fell asleep without realizing it.
At six o'clock in the morning, Lin Yue's biological clock woke her up.
She was an intern, but since her parents passed away, she had been emotionally unstable and had been on leave without going to the hospital.
Six months have now passed.
So now it's not just asking for leave, it's giving up the internship opportunity outright, since she doesn't want this situation to harm the patients.
Although she herself didn't care, since the hospital's attitude wasn't great because of the rumors, she didn't have any intention of taking revenge on society.
After tidying herself up, Lin Yue took the apple out of her spatial storage.
The apples she took out were exactly the same as when she threw them in, without any signs of oxidation or blackening.
Next, she tried to put things into her spatial storage.
Great, everything can be stored inside, but there are two drawbacks.
Firstly, the fact that she can't enter means that if there is danger, she cannot hide in the space.
Secondly, she has to touch things to do it; she can't directly control things into the space with her mind. However, she can take things out with just her mind, which is fine.
After a brief period of testing, Lin Yue ate something casually and then began her daily routine of boxing and martial arts practice.
Although the house wasn't big, there was a corner in the living room specifically for her to put her punching bag and some martial arts tools, such as wooden sticks and nunchucks.
Her living room has nothing but a sofa, a water dispenser, and a small coffee table; everything is for her convenience.
She is an only child. Her parents were afraid that she would be bullied, and since the family was not short of money, they enrolled her in Taekwondo, Judo, and Tai Chi classes from a young age. She also learned Shaolin Kung Fu during her holidays.
So while others are on holiday resting and taking various tutoring classes, she's on holiday resting and attending various martial arts classes and fighting.
No, it's sparring.
After practicing, Lin Yue took a shower and went out to buy some live chickens, ducks, and fish to test whether other living creatures could enter the space.
At eight o'clock, it's the peak time for going to work and buying groceries, and there are quite a lot of people downstairs.
When they saw her come down, those people looked at her with particular disdain.
"Look, that mistress who's being kept by someone still has the nerve to show her face."
"I heard she still works as a hostess at some kind of club, doing anything for money."
"I heard that her parents were crushed to death because they went back to give her that thing. If I had a daughter like that, I would rather have her drowned long ago."
"I wonder what her figure is like, and how much she charges for a night."
...
The voices of men and women were unbearable to hear.
However, Lin Yue didn't care. Anyway, she never needed to ask them for anything, and she couldn't rely on them.
Moreover, it's always the same sounds every time I come and go.
If it weren't for the lingering traces of her parents here, she would have sold this place long ago and had nothing more to say to them.
Lin Yue left the residential area at a normal speed and went straight to the farmers' market without going anywhere else.
It wasn't far, only a 20-minute walk, and she didn't want to drive, so she walked.
The round trip took an hour. As soon as she got home, Lin Yue put the live chickens, ducks and fish she bought into her space and continued to "let things languish" at home.
Although half a year has passed, she still doesn't want to go out. Most of her former friends are using the guise of caring for her to try and scam her out of her money.
They really thought she was some spoiled young lady who knew nothing.
She is pampered, not treated as "foolish".
After leaving the chickens, ducks, and fish to rot all day, Lin Yue was preparing dinner when she released them. Good, they were all dead, but still warm, just as they had died.
I quickly and efficiently prepared the chicken, duck, and fish. I made a chicken stew with mushrooms, a beer-braised duck with some bamboo shoots as a base, braised the fish, and stir-fried some greens.
It's okay if we can't finish it all. Her mother loves cooking and has plenty of soup bowls and dishes at home. She'll pack them up while they're still hot and put them all in the space so they can eat them slowly.
After eating and drinking her fill, Lin Yue trained herself again before washing up and going to bed.
Unsurprisingly, I had the same dream again that night, only this time with an extra scene.
She was with her parents on a grassy field. Her parents watched her from afar and kept telling her: Don't give up on yourself, you must live well.
