Chapter 43 Chapter 43 Awakening, Son of the Storm, hurry...
The soul hadn't been destroyed yet, the body was still breathing, the runes that formed the ritual were just bloody red paint, everything hadn't even begun before Batman destroyed it, hope seemed to still be rising, the sleeping breath seemed not to have been awakened yet, really?
"There are no unusual activity yet. We are closely monitoring for any application information, but I have applied many times without success."
The connection is bidirectional. If Enid needs to go to the other world, she also needs to submit an application. But strangely, her application was rejected, and she could not connect. It was as if this was just a fantasy of a false space that she had never been to, but everyone knew it was real.
"Druids will continue to monitor the situation."
Bruce was already aware of the situation. He simply instructed Enid to continue monitoring the situation and not to allow her to travel to the other world without permission. Enid agreed without hesitation.
"Fia, who built this door in the first place?"
“His Highness Oko was established under the watchful eye of the Mother Goddess. I know Tim, you're worried about the backdoor, but I've checked and there isn't one.”
Enid was very confident about this. She had always guarded the existence of this door, and everything related had been tested. There was no such thing as a second door. However, she seemed to remember something, so she looked at Bruce. Bruce noticed Enid's gaze and met her eyes.
"Father, should this door be handed over to the Justice League later?"
"I need you to include the Justice League in the list of approvers for your application, and it has to be all of them."
Bruce mentioned it very casually; he didn't ask Enid to hand over all authority to them, but simply to add them to the list of approvers. Only after the entire Justice League approved it could it be reported to the God of Nature. Enid nodded with a slight smile.
“Don’t worry, Fia,” Dick knew Bruce’s thoughts from the beginning, so he was relieved for a long time after noticing Enid’s worry. However, Enid was still worried, but now that she heard the reply, Enid gave Dick a thumbs up: “You really know Father!” Damian chuckled softly, seemingly disagreeing with this statement. Before anyone else could make a joke, Enid’s expression suddenly turned cold.
"The Son of Storms seems to have woken up. The place where he was originally locked is now showing signs of loosening. I'm worried that someone from another world has awakened him."
Lyra calmly informed Enid that she had been monitoring the Storm Child for some time. Because of their shared power, Lyra could easily locate the Storm Child. The Dark Storm's attack was indeed not a simple counterattack, but a premonition to cover up the awakening.
The thousand-year-old seal was already quite broken, and even if the soul continued to reinforce it, it seemed meaningless. At this point, Enid couldn't be sure if such reinforcement was truly meaningful or real, but there was no need to dwell on this irrelevant point.
Location information.
"These are all the possible locations at present, and they have been synchronized."
Enid quickly shared the information with everyone, but then came the Bat-Lights, their flashing lights seemingly trying to swallow up the entire night, even though everyone knew that night had only just begun.
“Very good, split up.” Bruce calmly laid out the arrangements one by one. When he met Enid’s gaze, he was particularly serious: “High Druid, you may not leave Wayne Manor without my permission, unless your life is in danger. No one may ask you to leave.”
He didn't explain why, but calmly announced the start of the operation, and everyone left the bat cave.
The reason the Bat-Signal is on is because of the Firehouse, and something else, well, of course not the Joker. The Joker seems strangely content to stay in Arkham, while others are leaving, Two-Face, and others. They all leave, as if most of the walls of Arkham have collapsed.
"The master is just worried about you, Miss Fia."
Alfred gently comforted Enid. He knew Bruce better than anyone. Bruce wouldn't act this way if there wasn't a valid reason. Alfred could even guess that it was because of this. That's why he chose to help Bruce. Alfred didn't want to see Bruce sad again.
Enid nodded, not misunderstanding, but simply agreeing obediently, just as she always did.
"I know, Afu, don't worry. That's just how Father is. He's worried about me. Actually, I have something more important to do. I'm waiting for the spatial fluctuations. Even if it's power from another world that's about to be transmitted, there will still be fluctuations."
Even though the power was smuggled in at the beginning, once it was used, Enid could sense it. Although she was not in a position of managing the world, she could temporarily act as a tester with the permission of the Mother Goddess.
"Would you like me to prepare a suitable room for you?"
"Hmm, maybe? I'll keep monitoring the fluctuations, and I'll report any anomalies to Bruce and the others."
Afu quickly prepared the room, which was equipped with various devices for easy communication. Enid sat in the center, closed her eyes, and immersed herself in a world of pure darkness, with only a faint light slowly rising. She could no longer move or speak, and her power began to spread to every corner of the world.
The power of the gods is terrifying and addictive, but Enid showed no sign of succumbing to it. Instead, she calmly observed any strange fluctuations. Most of the surges in power were normal breathing, and the undulating light spots carried a drowsy boredom.
Outside, unseen by Enid, her face grew increasingly pale, with only the oak tree continuing to gaze gently at her.
Leila kept darting through the air, her sharp eyes seemingly scanning the area, but to no avail. All the locations she visited turned out to be empty, with only criminals present.
The fire nearly engulfed the entire building. When Bruce arrived, only the building itself was burned. Two-Face's revenge plan hadn't even begun yet. This wasn't surprising; the entire operation wasn't very complicated, and they resolved the situation as usual.
“B, this is strange, it’s like they’re stalling.”
"Yes, I found out. Red Robin, investigate what the others in Arkham are doing, especially the Joker."
“An investigation is underway; their quietness is clearly unusual.”
"We will continue to monitor the situation."
After sending the others back, Bruce dialed Alfred's channel. Alfred noticed the situation with Enid, who was still searching for unusual activity with her eyes closed.
"The Archdruid's query is normal; there are no abnormalities, sir."
"good."
So they seemed to be in a state of being deceived, completely fooled, and did not discover the conspiracy, but dealt with the criminals normally. Of course, did they really not discover it?
There's a saying, "Use a plan against a plan," and clearly the enemy is starting to fall for it.
A slight, unusual ripple appeared in the air, which finally materialized just before they returned to the bat cave.
