Chapter 11 Who else is so low-key?

"It's okay! I'll help you vent your anger later. What a jerk! A lousy factory director, or even a deputy, has made his family mad. Don't cry, don't cry."

In the room, Goudan was coaxing Jiang Cha who had felt wronged, while outside, Uncle Liu asked someone to go to the cotton mill and bring back Wang Cuicui's father.

The whole family must be together and investigated. It seems that Wang Cuicui was involved in this matter last time.

According to Wang Yan's confession, Wang Cuicui knew nothing about this matter. She was used because she was stupid and easy to fool. Her family members all worked in the cotton mill, and she planned to get close to her first and get a batch of lubricants from the cotton mill through her. However, she was arrested before she even started.

"Wang Cuicui's father is here to conduct an interrogation first. Has anyone tried to get close to him recently and mentioned anything about lubricants?"

After informing the members of the task force, he returned to the office to find Jiang Cha to find out the situation.

The brat sat on his desk, and Jiang Cha's grievance disappeared. The two of them were chatting nonsense, talking about this and that!

What a rotten kid, making him worry about nothing.

"Jiang Jiang, is there something you need to bring them all here?"

This kid isn't the type to throw around flags easily. There must be something wrong with him coming here so ostentatiously.

"Oh, it has to be our old comrade! These people came to make trouble at noon, and I didn't take it too seriously at first. It was her mother who was so mean and scolded my parents that she got angry.

I took out a broom to hit them, and found that one of them reacted quickly. The broom hit me in an instant, and she blocked it with her left hand and touched her lower back with her right hand.

My subconscious actions weren't quite right, so I decided to make a big deal out of it and bring it all to you to investigate."

After listening to Jiang Cha, Uncle Liu ran out and asked someone to search them. This was no joke.

"Can you recognize which one it is?"

It's rare for Goudan to be so serious.

"A blue half-breasted jacket, black cloth trousers, cut short."

Jiang Cha quickly reported the suspect's clothing.

"I'm going to report. You stay here. Our military district and this local area have been conducting joint operations these past few days, and everyone's still busy. And you, an important witness, have come to deliver another clue!"

After closing the door and leaving, I was left alone in the office, staring blankly. This class is really exciting. I wonder how many fish I can catch this time.

After eating the meal Sister Xiaowu brought, I slept directly in Uncle Liu's dormitory. They would definitely stay up all night. Don't try to cause trouble yourself. As a witness, the best way to cooperate is to not cause trouble.

She stayed in the dormitory for three days before being called away. She felt a little guilty looking at this group of "national treasures". She had gained a lot of weight in three days.

The comrades in the task force looked haggard, with wrinkled clothes, probably because they didn't get much sleep.

"On behalf of the comrades of the task force, I would like to thank Jiang Cha for once again providing important clues, allowing us to catch a big fish. According to her work diary, we have basically captured all the spy organizations throughout North China!

The leadership has decided that Comrade Jiang Cha can go back to work! Okay, everyone, get busy! We still have a lot of work to do, and I don't want some people to gain weight these past two days.

This is Zhao, the military commander's chief of staff and Goudan'er's father. He's just an average guy. He just arrested someone and ignored her as a witness. He even complained about her weight gain.

"Uncle Zhao, we can't do this. You didn't even mention giving me a reward for my meritorious service, but you're still saying this. It really hurts me! I can't get through this without two meals of sugar cakes."

Uncle Zhao’s sugar cakes are amazing. She has never eaten them before, but the original owner remembered that they tasted especially good!

Patting Jiang Cha's shoulder, he said, "When the case is over, come home for dinner and I'll make you some pancakes. Your Aunt Liu has been missing you for a long time. When she comes back from her business trip, we'll have a reunion dinner."

After that, she took the documents and went into the conference room with everyone. The entire precinct was busy with both military and police uniforms. The ginger tea wouldn't help with the arrest and interrogation records, so she asked Sister Xiaowu to tell them that it was nothing and she would go back.

I don't have to work today, so I finally have time to explore the capital of the 1970s. Wangfujing is not far from here, so I'll go to the department store and Dong'an Market first.

The last time I went there was during the Winter Olympics. Bing Dwen Dwen was extremely popular. My classmates and I lined up outside the Industrial Art Museum for three hours and almost froze to death.

How magical! The next time I visited Wangfujing was in the summer of 1973. The steel mill where I work now will become the venue for the Winter Olympics decades later.

The first thing I went to in the department store was the candy counter to see the legendary Comrade Zhang. I even took a photo of his bronze statue!

The line was so long that guardrails were installed in front of the counters to prevent them from collapsing. At the time, there was a saying that if you couldn't buy it in the department store, you couldn't buy it anywhere else.

I squeezed out with my hands full of spoils, including White Rabbit, Sour Three Colors, Yili chocolate, biscuits, three bottles of Moutai and two barrels of malted milk.

Everyone was carrying bags, though the ginger tea purchases were inconspicuous. Besides the locals, this is a must-visit spot for business travelers. Wangfujing Department Store is the only building with nationwide purchasing authority.

When traveling on business, we bring each other things. A little extra won't be noticeable. Diagonally across the street is the Dong'an Market, which has everything from food and entertainment, and is known as "one-stop shopping."

Many things are no longer allowed, but they used to have crosstalk, magic tricks, antiques, and jewelry. I ate at "Bao Du Feng" (Braised Tripe, Braised Lamb Liver, and a plate of cabbage) and it was very filling.

Following the longest line, I bought a fish and two pounds of meat, a lot of eggs, and a large bamboo basket to put everything in. I took the opportunity to put everything into the space, leaving only some sour three colors and a bucket of malted milk outside.

Just do it for show, cover it with a towel, and no one will know what you bought. Stop and go as you go, buy whatever you see, don't mention it's already in your space. Chicken, meat, and everything else are delicious at this time of year, so stock up on some in your space and save them for later.
