The Blue Steel Express was an ultra-luxury train operated by a foreign-funded company during the Republic of China period.
The train was built in Britain and was staffed by foreign butlers, porters, chefs and waiters.
It was called the Blue Steel Express because it could reach a speed of 110 kilometers per hour in that era, and ordinary train carriages were made of wood.
The body of this train is made entirely of steel plates and is painted blue-black, which looks very impressive.
No wonder the conductor had to look her over before selling her a ticket. It turned out this train only had second-class seats and first-class compartments. The only two luxury compartments weren't open to the public, so there was no need for window sales.
"Hello sir, is this all you have with you?"
Jiang Cha was wearing a mink coat and carrying a small leather suitcase.
When you go out, clothes make the man, and in order to avoid trouble, she rarely dresses like a nouveau riche.
"Just this box. Help me get it to the carriage. This is for you."
Jiang Cha followed the bellboy, who took him to his compartment. He gave him a few dollars as a tip. When traveling, one's status is one's own, so nouveau riche people should be generous to avoid being looked down upon.
"Thank you, sir! This is your private room. If you need anything, you can call the waiter. Have a pleasant journey and thank you for the tip."
After saying that, he nodded slightly at her and helped her close the door when he left.
Jiang Cha stood at the door and looked at the interior of the box. There was a carpet under his feet. There was a small door near the door. When he pushed it open, he saw that it was a bathroom.
The carriage was even more luxurious than the soft sleeper she'd stayed in on business trips in the 1970s, and slightly larger. It had a double bed, a two-person sofa, and a small coffee table.
The configuration is absolutely top-notch, no wonder the ticket price is so expensive. I heard that the second-class seats in the back are also more comfortable than those on ordinary trains.
It was not a wooden bench, but a double soft chair that looked a bit like the buses of later generations.
Carefully check the box to make sure there is nothing strange hidden there.
For example, the most primitive eavesdropping device, or the train terminator - dynamite.
Wait until she sits on the sofa, holding a magazine that specializes in introducing various gossips, as her channel to learn about the secrets of those wealthy families.
Because there are not many passengers on the train, unlike ordinary trains, there will not be a large number of people without tickets frantically climbing onto the train or even climbing onto the roof.
This resulted in the vehicle being unable to depart on time. This bus started on time, but it was not yet dinner time.
I can only pass the time with the tabloid in my hand. I can't take out my cell phone to play a few games. Wouldn't that scare everyone to death?
"Ding ding ding, hello, do you need hot water?"
There was a wicker kettle next to the coffee table. Jiang Cha asked the waiter to come in and add water. She didn't lock the door when she came in just now, because she calculated that someone would come in to add water.
We're on a luxury train, so you can't ask the guests to fetch water from the boiler themselves, right?
Too lazy to move, she didn't lock the door and just waited for the waiter to deliver the water.
"Sir, would you like me to make you some tea? We have tea leaves in our private rooms, or you can bring your own. Coffee is in the dining car, and you can ask us to bring it to you if you need it. Is there anything else you need?"
Jiang Cha took out a few dollars from his suitcase, handed them to the waiter and asked him to bring him a cup of coffee.
Her biggest hobby is eating, no matter what, she wants to try it. For example, coffee from the Republic of China era!
In many spy dramas, the cafe is an important scene.
Many exciting scenes take place in cafes, and of course, there are also Western restaurants.
"Hello, sir, I'm here to bring you coffee!"
"Come in!"
The waiter came in with a tray, and the aroma of coffee hit me right away. I didn't expect the coffee beans on the train to be so good!
Sugar cubes, milk and coffee were neatly arranged by the waiter.
She opened her suitcase and took out a lot of money to tip him. How long had the train been moving? The tips she had taken out were almost as much as the ticket price. It was obvious that not everyone could become a rich man.
"Thank you, sir. If you need anything, please call me!"
After helping her close the door, Jiang Cha quickly went over to lock it in place. He also checked the door's sturdiness, then took out two sacks of potatoes from the space and blocked the door.
She bought these potatoes from a farm in the United States. She bought five tons of them, thinking that she would have something to eat and drink if she went to some remote place.
I didn't expect to use it to block the door when I came here. The corns in the space were often used to block the door before, and they were always present every time I went on a business trip.
I was mentally prepared before coming here, as it is inevitable to encounter some organization or person in troubled times.
I didn't expect it to come so quickly. The waiter had some calluses on the palms of his hands, and it was obvious that he had been manicured.
Maybe the calluses were too thick and he was afraid of being recognized, so he trimmed them specifically.
The position is very sensitive, it happens to be the position where "biubiubiu" is often taken.
Don't ask her how she knew this. She'd played these a lot in the United States, and the calluses on her hands were in exactly the same place.
As for trimming the calluses, it was because she did the same thing in the hotel yesterday. There were too many calluses on her hands, and others would be able to see through them at a glance.
So last night in the room, I soaked my hands in hot water for a long time until the calluses were softened.
Then I used a small knife to peel it off bit by bit, and finally applied thick hand cream, wrapped it with disposable gloves, and slept with the gloves on all night.
The calluses on your hands may not look very obvious when you wake up in the morning, but you can still feel them if you touch them.
