It was a silent and dark night, the winter moon was hazy, and ghost lights were floating in the mass grave.
The occasional hooting of owls in the woods made everyone even more nervous. Even if they didn't believe in ghosts and gods, they still felt uneasy.
Following Jiang Cha's instructions, the group walked in headfirst, but what did they see?
They were almost scared to death. The scene at that time made these people still remember it vividly after so many years. There are all kinds of birds in the forest. If it weren't for the fact that this batch of supplies was real stuff,
This group of people wanted to go back and beat Jiang Cha up, and those who were timid might be scared to death.
After she took out all the supplies, she was afraid that they would be stolen, so she made some arrangements nearby.
In the winter mass graves, there are many poor people whose bodies are abandoned in the wilderness, and a straw mat is their final resting place.
God just wants to make things difficult for these poor people. Wild dogs, wolves, and badgers come to scavenge for food in the middle of winter when they have nothing to eat.
The "parts" scattered all over the ground added to the horror atmosphere. She put on rubber gloves and took tongs to find a lot of hands, and "planted" them one by one near the supplies.
Against the backdrop of the pale moonlight, hands seemed to be struggling to emerge from the ground.
It was scary enough, but there were two large teeth sticking out of the canvas covering the cargo. Their dark eyes stared straight at them. There was obviously not much flesh left, but somehow their mouths were always cracked.
I carefully avoided the "struggle" on the ground, but was stumped by the two heads. It was so scary!
"The brat's arrangement was so bad that even a thief wouldn't be scared. Even though I'm used to seeing dead people, I almost peed myself. No wonder he was so careless as to leave the things here. Most people would have fallen to the ground when they saw that."
"Isn't it? I'm sweating just now. This kid is really brave!"
"Oh my god! I almost peed my pants. I thought they were really going to crawl out from there. But compared to this, it's not that scary. How did he do it? It's obvious that he's been dead for a long time, so why is he still looking at me with his teeth clenched?
My heart was pounding as I kept thinking it was going to speak. I got goosebumps, it was so damn scary!
Carefully, I used a stick to hold the head and placed it far away from the cargo. I also cleared away those on the ground one by one. Fortunately, they were buried quite shallowly.
There was no horrible incident of pulling out the "radish" and bringing out the "mud". After dealing with these things, the few people calmed down their nervousness and began to prepare for loading.
When the canvas covering the cargo was removed, a long, special box for Junhuo (written intentionally) took up more than half of it.
Each box had never been opened, and the packaging was intact, making it look brand new. In the light of the torch, one could see words written on it depicting the Japanese soldiers with missing arms and legs.
He didn't even bother to open it and took a look, he just quickly loaded it up. There were so many things that he might have to come back again, so no wonder he chased after me and asked me to bring a few more trucks.
There were long boxes in the front, and several boxes with red crosses on them in the back, all tightly sealed. They had never been opened, so they must be medicine. I'll have someone show me what they are when I get home.
What made them most curious were several mahogany boxes. They didn't look as big as the medicine boxes, but they were very heavy.
It was difficult for two people to lift it, and they almost couldn't lift it onto the truck. They had to rely on the people next to them to help them. It can be seen that it is really heavy.
There are five such boxes in total. The last ones are filled with sacks of grain and boxes of canned goods, which are easier to identify.
After working all night, we finally brought everything back at dawn. Everyone was so happy to see the supplies scattered all over the ground.
The Japanese, the Imperial Army and the Homecoming Corps had imposed a severe blockade on them. The logistics side could not keep up with the supplies and everyone had to rely on the help of the common people, buying some food and salt sporadically.
But these are just a drop in the bucket for them. With so many people and so little food, they have recently started going up the mountain to hunt, hoping to get more food to fill their stomachs.
Who would have thought that one day a pie would really fall from the sky, and someone would suddenly show up at the door, saying that he was looking for a team to deliver supplies.
Their usual way of dealing with such people is to send them away directly, or simply lock them up and interrogate them to see if they are spies from somewhere.
The reason the child was able to come here was because he was young, and given their skills, they could easily control him. Another reason was the conversation he mentioned at the inn. When the transport team went down the mountain to move the goods, they had already checked to see who had been out that night.
After locking in the suspect, we sent someone to keep an eye on him to see who he met, how he contacted them, and which department he belonged to.
"Commissar, here's a new 'chicken neck'! Look, there's not even a fingerprint on it! Wow! The smell of freshly unpacked gun oil is so delicious!" (The chicken neck refers to the Type 92 heavy machine gun, so named because of its sound similar to the clucking of a chicken)
A soldier used a crowbar to open the long box, gently stroked the body of "Chicken Neck", and looked at it with obsessed eyes as if he saw his dream lover.
"Commissar, we still have some! These are all Type 38 rifles. I think there are more than a dozen boxes of ammunition. Oh! We need to distribute them!"
The soldier, with his butt sticking out and his head buried in the boxes, became more and more excited as he looked at them, and his voice was trembling.
"Okay, okay, register all the boxes, and we'll finally have our new equipment. The sacks are filled with food, right? Register them along with the canned goods and send them to the kitchen.
"Let's keep going. I want to see what else is there. This kid is being quite subtle. There are still some supplies that need to be delivered. They're already so damn close to the logistics supply. I don't know how he got them here. The road must be difficult!"
