Chapter 2: The Dormitory

She came, she came, bringing ghost stories with her. They were so frightened that they huddled under their covers, not daring to speak loudly. Even with such a bad character, they were still whispering.

"And then? Why did she commit suicide?"

"Didn't they say that after the founding of the country, spirits are not allowed?"

"Your belief is feudal and superstitious. It's fake. She wasn't wearing a red skirt, was she?"

"Bang, bang, bang! If you don't go to sleep, I'll make you stand in the hallway in your long johns. Then you'll see clearly whether she's wearing a red skirt or not."

There was a sudden knock on the door outside, and the teacher was about to explode. It seemed that he had annoyed me. I was so scared that I didn't dare to make a sound. I waited for a while and then fell asleep.

On the first day, everyone was very excited about the dormitory chat. We were forcing ourselves to stay awake until so late. The teacher made An Jing fall asleep quickly. It was a rare opportunity to stay up late but it was still fun.

"ah!"

"What's wrong?"

Jiang Cha held the small machete and opened his eyes to see what was going on. It was a habit he had developed on business trips, so he would be ready to take precautions if there was any movement.

"Tan Ying, are you going too far? Who would rub their head against the bed when sleeping? I opened my eyes dazedly and saw a head hanging on the upper bunk, with the hair still the same. I was so scared that I poked it with my slippers, but who knew you would scream so loudly?"

"I was sleeping soundly, and suddenly something poked me, scaring me, and then~"

“Hahahahahahahahahaha”

Everyone thought something was going on, but it turned out to be such a hilarious blunder. Imagine if she was lying on the lower bunk and opened her eyes to see a head hanging from the upper bunk, with the hair hanging down. She would also use something to poke it to see if it was alive. (From a true story, I was the hero who got the slippers from the lower bunk)

I had just gotten some sleep when the blunder completely wiped me out. Jiang Cha offered me some sunflower seeds, and we all chatted in the dark while munching on them.

"Hey guys from Room 203, why aren't you sleeping yet?"

Jiang Cha was on the upper bunk by the window. When she heard someone calling their dormitory from outside, she glanced out through the curtain and said something. Her voice was a little louder in the quiet night.

"Is there a bald guy in our dorm office?" (I will never admit that this is me, without my glasses at night)

The one who answered her was the angry dormitory teacher.

"Everyone, go stand in the hallway with your sunflower seeds in hand. When you finish eating them, you can go to bed."
