Chapter 21 Bound Foot Detective Team

When Jiang Cha came in, everyone else in the car had arrived. It should be a large family, an old couple, a young couple with three children, and a young girl.

Eight people were crammed into the lower bunk, eating. Tickets were checked at 1:30 on this train, so most people hadn't eaten yet. This included Jiang Cha, who had climbed straight to the upper bunk.

Now, when she's on a business trip, she likes the upper bunk more and more. She puts her big bag next to her pillow, takes out her packed three-fresh rice bowl, and sits cross-legged on the bunk to eat.

I ate while reading the comic strip "Little Soldier Zhang Ga." Without electronic pickled mustard greens, I just read the comic strip to pass the time. I'm addicted to it. Even though I've seen the movie many times, I still find it so entertaining.

Washing lunch boxes in the bathroom, I wanted to laugh. Wouldn't that family think I was crazy? I laughed out loud in bed alone. She was so embarrassed at the time. She could have carved out a three-bedroom apartment with her bare feet!

After making some tea, she climbed back to the upper bunk with her lunch box. The family was chatting quietly and didn't pay much attention to her. Fortunately, it was okay.

There seemed to be some kind of argument, and the voices were quite loud, so she could hear a little bit. The family followed the old man to the capital, and they had a lot of things to bring with them.

The old man and his son were the only ones working in the family. The girl was afraid of going to the countryside, so she asked the old man to find her a job. The daughter-in-law, who was raising the children, also wanted a job, and the arguments grew louder.

Lying on the pillow in a lewd manner, eavesdropping with ears perked up, in the days without mobile phones, can't we cultivate some hobbies? Perhaps thinking that Jiang Cha had fallen asleep, the family raised their voices quite a bit.

"Bao, don't be anxious! Go to the capital and ask your father to find you an easy and respectable job. Then find a partner. The one with a good family background and a large betrothal gift must be worthy of Bao."

The old lady was quite thoughtful, calling her "Bao" all the time, like the old "Qin" of Taobao. "You just spoiled her and gave her a respectable job. She used to work at the post office, filling out forms incorrectly or sending the wrong telegrams. She even got into fights with people, so much so that the director fired her."

The irritable son directly exposed the brother's shortcomings and mocked him. "Look, Mom, he just forgot about me now that he has a wife. He's bullying me just because you want to find a job for me and his wife is still here."

"Lili, I haven't offended you. I haven't said a word to you for a long time. Don't come to me for everything. The post office job was mine. I had children in recent years, so I asked you to take over. You lost your job, so now it's my turn."

There were so many melons, she lay still and ate them. She was tired but very satisfied. As long as she could hold on, she could eat her fill in the melon field.

"Shujuan, how do you act like a sister-in-law? Why don't you give in to Bao? In a family like ours, we shouldn't be so fussy about everything. This isn't your town. You should consider your status before doing anything.

Since you've come to the capital with us, you can't bring your old petty ways with you." The mother-in-law scolded her daughter-in-law over the meal, saying, "I just don't know how high an official the old man is. That's why his family is so particular."

"Okay! Stop talking! If people hear us, they'll laugh at us. Be careful from now on. This is the capital, it's different from other places. Whatever you do from now on, you have to pay attention to the method and manner.

"I'm in a new position now, and I need to get to know the work better. Once I'm firmly established in the new unit, I can help you all! Don't hold me back."

Wow! This family is amazing! I really want to applaud them. She's riding in the same car with such a high-ranking official. It's a real honor for us.

I thought they could fight, but this sister-in-law pair is not good! Isn't it normal to quarrel, pulling each other's hair and scratching each other's faces? The fighting ability is not good, bad review!

They stopped talking, rustling around, probably resting. Jiang Cha then carefully turned over, facing the other side of the bed, to relax the numb side of her body.

She was woken by the conductor who was selling dinner. It was already five o'clock. She had slept so soundly. The family was discussing what to buy. The conductor was pushing a small cart and had stopped at the door of the carriage.

Several square buckets with insulated lids were stuck on the cart. Those who brought their own lunch boxes could pick up their food and choose their dishes. Those who didn't bring their own lunch boxes could pay a deposit and use theirs.

Jiang Cha didn't see what they were eating, so she went to the dining car with her bag on her back. The dining car had chicken stewed with mushrooms today, so she ordered one and a pound of rice.

After dinner, I washed my face, brushed my teeth, went to the bathroom, and then went straight back to bed. I just asked the conductor, and they'll arrive at Goubangzi Station at 6:00 AM tomorrow. I can't miss the roast chicken, so I'll buy a few more to keep for later.

Lying down, she read "White-Haired Girl." This time, she bought several picture books to pass the time on the way. She had never read this story before, but she vaguely knew the part about buying the red hairband.

She was watching with great interest. The girl (Lili) was sitting on the upper bunk opposite her. She said to her, "Are you going to the capital too?"

"Yes, I'm going back to the capital!" he put down his book and replied to the girl. "Are you an educated youth who went to the countryside? Are you back to visit your family?" At her age, many people would mistake her for an educated youth if she took the train.

From the day she traveled through time, she had never thought about becoming an educated youth. Given a choice, she would of course choose the best one.

"I went on a business trip to the Northeast, and now I'm going home. Are you moving?" He pretended not to know and chatted with Lili, "Well, my dad was transferred for work, and our family moved to the capital." Lili raised her head proudly.

No matter where you get promoted or become rich, it is worth celebrating. "Congratulations!" He said a few simple words, turned off the lights and went to bed.

I was craving the roast chicken, so I woke up without an alarm. It was only a little after five. I quietly crawled downstairs, brushed my teeth, washed my face, and went to the bathroom. I didn't even bother eating breakfast, but stood at the door with my bag on my back.

Lili saw her waiting at the door, asked her if she knew the goubangzi was coming soon, and quickly ran back to the train, probably to get the money. When the train arrived, she quickly ran to the roast chicken cart and bought ten roast chickens.
