Chapter 22: Picking Up a Lot

He didn't stop nagging like Tang Monk until he reached the office door.

"You're back? I'm glad you're back, I'm glad you're back!"

"Report, Jiang Cha is back. This is the document box that was retrieved."

As soon as they entered the door, the leader and Jiang Cha started talking at the same time. Jiang Cha opened the suitcase in his hand, and some newspapers and snacks were stuffed around it.

After unpacking these things, the file box was found to be intact.

"Great! I thought this trip was going to be dangerous, but I didn't expect you to be so smart. Now tell me how you did it."

He fiddled with the suitcase in his hand, confirming that it had never been opened. A little girl without a passport was brought back safely. She was born to do this job for them.

"Isn't what I did a mistake? I broke a lot of rules just to get back safely!

That day I brought back the box and bought a big cake for everyone to try, but I didn’t see anyone and thought everyone had gone to eat.

I didn't dare go out even though I had things in my hands, so I thought I would gather the next day and distribute the cake to everyone. As a result, I waited in the hotel lobby for a long time that morning, and when I asked the front desk, I found out that everyone had already gone home. They left yesterday when I left.

I didn't have much money in my pocket and no passport. I originally planned to ask the embassy for help, but there were many informants nearby and they had even made it clear.

Then I wandered around the streets and found a wallet in a chaotic neighborhood. Inside was my passport, money, and everything else, because there were bloody fingerprints on the wallet.

I guessed that the person was in great danger. I hid in that community for two days and soon saw them burying the person. They threw the person on the side of the road and went to rummage through the trash can. I saw that it was that woman.

Then I went to the police station to report my passport lost, took some money out of my purse and gave it to them, and soon I got a new passport with my photo. I am a woman living a simple life, hehehe."

Jiang Cha kept thinking that she just had to make things right. The passport did have her photo on it, so she actually applied for a report of loss in the United States and then applied for a new one.

I spent $2,000 on expedited re-issuance, but my original passport had several stamps on it, making it difficult to reconcile.

The leader took her passport and almost burst out laughing when he saw the name.

"plum"

"Please don't say that. The name itself is too bad. Oh, there's a document in the bag I found.

Regarding the records of my research back then, I don't know the identity of this woman. She's gone now, and I don't know if they have anything to do with this. I brought them back because I thought they might be useful."

Jiang Cha opened a tattered cotton jacket from another large box and took out a stack of documents and a notebook.

I picked up the tattered cotton jacket from the trash can and washed it twice with disinfectant before stuffing the information into it.

Along the way, she looked at the suitcase carefully and no one paid much attention to her personal belongings.

Who knew she had done something so big? Considering the Capitol fire a few days ago, what else is there to understand?

It was an organized conspiracy, and the little girl got a big bargain.
