Chapter 23 What Kind of Fate Is This?

Pushing the door open and entering the office, several people were chatting around a man. Who was this? Why was he so popular? Several people turned around and saw Jiang Cha didn't say anything, which surprised the man.

"Hello, nice to see you again. I'm Li Jie, a newly transferred person." This was the family on the train. They were transferred here for work.

"Hello, I'm Jiang Cha, you are Lili's brother, right?" How can I not explain it clearly? I didn't see the daggers on the side, whizzing.

I said hello and then went back to my seat, dazed. I was so sleepy. "Spring brings sleepiness, autumn brings fatigue, summer brings naps, and winter brings sleeplessness in March." It turns out that every day I was busy working to earn money for food, clothing, and tuition.

Now I just eat and drink every day without any thought, which is too decadent. There is nothing to do in the morning, so I notify everyone to have a meeting in the afternoon.

He hurried to the warehouse and threw two packs of ginseng cigarettes to Uncle Lu. "We're going back to Siping this time. These cigarettes are a specialty there. You and everyone else should try them. I have to go to a meeting!"

I trotted back to the office, thankfully not late. The section chief came over with a notebook, frowning and looking troubled. Seeing this, everyone dropped what they were holding.

"Our department needs to go to Panshi, but it's the rainy season. Who can go?" What's going on? We can't go during the rainy season?

Seeing Jiang Cha's confused look, the section chief explained, "Dushi is mountainous. Two years ago during the rainy season, there was a mudslide that blocked the road for over 30 hours. That road was just repaired in January this year. Let's see who can show off their style this time."

"There's no rush. Think about it and give me your answer tomorrow." After the section chief finished speaking, the meeting ended. Everyone returned to their seats, stopped knitting sweaters, and stopped chatting.

She was very confused. Could this be that serious? She would talk about it tomorrow. No one said anything, so she didn't want to make a scene.

After get off work, I went to the police station to look for Uncle Liu. Her kang hadn't even been set up yet! I also had to deliver the roast chicken to Zhao Yibei. If I was any later, it would go bad! The old man at the door was listening to the radio. He grabbed a handful of sorghum candy and said, "Uncle, I bought this in Siping. Try it."

The old man waved at her and let her in. They hadn't come back once, as they were just sitting there doing nothing. He said hello to everyone and placed a large bag of sorghum candy in the hall.

Knowing Uncle Liu was in the office, she knocked on the door and went in to see him sitting in a chair, glaring at her. Confused, Jiang Cha asked Uncle Liu, "What did I do to you? I brought you something nice, and you roll your eyes if I don't praise you?"

"I have to praise you! I have to give you a banner!" What's wrong with her tone? "Just say it directly, don't be so sarcastic, you're just a coward."

"I see you don't know what fear is. They are two robbers, robbery and murder! They are on the run and commit crimes, and their names are on the list of public security bureaus across the country.

When they met a fool like you, the two of them said, who would have thought that the girl was so fierce. As soon as one of them said to fight, she started to fight.

"Oh, those two people I caught on my business trip to Siping. It's them! I'm not at fault, am I?"

"Uncle Liu, look, it's like this. I don't want to cause trouble, but now that it's right in front of us, we can't miss it. They're planning to go to the port city, and if they run away, we won't be able to catch them."

"You little brat, last time you threw manure into someone's house, you caught a spy. This time you were on a business trip and caught two robbers and murderers. You might as well change your career and become a policeman!" It was just a joke, but who knew it would come true later.

"I brought you a pack of cigarettes, a specialty from there. I also brought you some Goubangzi roast chicken. Eat it quickly before it gets spoiled. Where's Zhao Yibei? He ordered the roast chicken, but I didn't see him." He took out the roast chicken and cigarettes from his bag, both in double portions, and left one for Uncle Zhao.

"Who is Zhao Yibei?" Her uncle Liu had forgotten the guy's full name. "Goudan, he told me to call him by his full name from now on." "Hey, I forgot. He's in the room over there. Go find him directly. Are you going to eat here later? We have to work overtime, so we have to go home for dinner no matter what. Your aunt has been nagging me about this several times."

I promised Uncle Liu that I would go to his house for a meal when he was not busy. I also wanted to meet my aunt, whom I had not met yet! There was a closed room next to the bathroom. I knocked on the door and went in to see several soldiers.

"Brother Yibei, I just came to see you. I hope I didn't disturb you." It's better to give him some face when there are outsiders. What a well-educated and polite childhood friend.

"It's okay, you're back from your business trip, our hero is back. I'm going to line up to welcome you, how awesome!" This sarcastic tone was contagious.

"I was wrong! Uncle Liu just told me that I will call the police next time if I have any problems. I won't be reckless. Please let me go!" It was rare to see her say soft words, and Zhao Yibei was so proud of it.

"Give him the roast chicken and ginseng cigarettes. The cigarettes are for Uncle Zhao. Don't squint." There were other people there, so they said a few words and left.

What a mistake! I caught a bad guy for a good deed, and still got scolded. Go back and practice more. One day, no matter what bad guy I am, I will catch him. I will definitely make them convinced. I won't nag you like that anymore. The burden of sweetness is also heavy!

I took the bus home and greeted each of the women chatting at the entrance of the alley. Then I went home to avoid a repeat of last time. The day was over, and I got up in the morning for more practice.

He ran around the street for half an hour, came back and did two frog jumps around the yard, and finally practiced some boxing on a sack of corn.

I showered, ate, went to work, and walked down the subway steps. My legs felt like they weren't my own. On the subway and bus, everyone offered their seats today.

Everyone in the office looked glum as they gathered around, chatting. "Jiang Cha, I guess you're not the only one going on this business trip, and there's one more person coming this time." The person who spoke wasn't very familiar to her. To be more precise, she didn't know anyone in the office except Section Chief Shao.

The meaning of talking to her now was that they felt they didn't have to go because they had someone to back them up. Now there was another one like this, and they felt unbalanced.

"What did I just say? Who's not going?" Before she could tell her, an old lady came out of the section chief's office and glared at her.

What kind of fate is this? She gets rolled eyes when she eats roast chicken on the train, and now she gets rolled eyes when she goes to work early? This old lady always dislikes her, and why is she everywhere?

"Why not just let her go? It's a business trip wherever she goes. She eats so much and still has to work more." I'm so angry. Who does she think she is? She's here giving orders and even complaining about her eating too much. Humph!

"Go back first. We will hold a serious meeting to discuss this. This is voluntary and we are not forcing anyone. It's okay if your family disagrees. We understand." Wow! Chief, a mother came to me about this?

A mama's boy, definitely a mama's boy. "It's none of your business whether I go or not. You're not my boss. Your boss is not here, so how can you be so high-ranking and take care of a small clerk like me?"

I retorted to her, "Why are you giving orders here? Is the old man an official in the steel mill? I haven't heard of it!"
