Chapter 32 Men meet enemies

Jiang Cha went in, nodded to the others, and climbed onto her bed with her luggage. "Have you heard? Things are really tense in Sichuan right now." A few people greeted her and continued their gossip without missing a beat.

"Oh, I've heard about that too. I don't know what they're checking for, but they're always checking IDs."

"Yes, yes, yes. I heard from my neighbor's second aunt's daughter's sister-in-law that some leader was beaten up, and the whole city is looking for the culprit."

Wow, this network of relationships is so complicated. Jiang Cha, who was sitting on the bed eating melon, scratched his hair. It seems that things are not peaceful in Sichuan Province. There must be some fish that have slipped through the net and have not been caught.

'Girl on the upper bunk, where are you going?'

"I went to Sichuan Province and listened to your conversation. It seems that Sichuan Province is not peaceful right now."

"It just so happens that we're on the same route, so we were talking about these things. I heard that you can't run around after getting off the bus, and you have to carry the letter of introduction with you."

Everyone was chatting animatedly, spreading the gossip they had picked up. Initially, rumors about Sichuan Province had spread to topics like whose daughter-in-law had 36 legs, and whose child had been recommended for admission to the Workers, Peasants, and Soldiers University.

It turns out that gentlemen can be so gossipy. During the time she was in the car, if they hadn't taken her into consideration, they would have probably dug up everything that happened in everyone's bed.

In fact, Jiang Cha really wanted to tell them that she had seen big scenes (you can find everything on the Internet) and ordinary situations could not scare her.

It was noon and the place was bustling with activity. Jiang Cha came out of the dining car after finishing his meal. As soon as he returned to the carriage, he was grabbed by an uncle in the lower bunk.

"Girl, please go to the restroom for a while. A group of people wearing red armbands just came, but I think they are not the right ones. They are going from car to car to molest young girls, just like hooligans."

Jiang Cha thanked the uncle, packed up his backpack and went to the toilet. We have to appreciate the kindness of others, but we don't know where these people come from, so we have to take a look first.

The taste was really unpleasant, and it felt like the flavor had soaked in due to the heat. She didn't dare go out until the uncle came and knocked on the door. She stood in the aisle for a long time before returning home, lingering over the intoxicating smell.

"I'm telling you! Luckily you hid quickly. Those guys came right after you and should have gone to another car by now. They've been making a lot of noise all day long."

He pulled out two packs of cigarettes from his bag and said, "I don't have anything to show for it, please don't be disgusted. Thank you all for your help."

"It's still Daqianmen, girl, are you from the capital? Are you going back to Sichuan Province?"

"Yes, I came here on business, and after finishing my work, I drove back. I wonder if you are...?"

"We all went to Sichuan Province for a meeting, so we wanted to join in the fun." The uncle she was talking to looked gentle and had a pen pinned to his chest.

The remaining four looked to be about the same age as him, and it seemed that they were from the same unit or system.

I was lying on the upper bunk reading a book, while the people below were chatting and reading newspapers. It was a rare train car that was so quiet. I arrived in Sichuan Province comfortably, asked for directions to the department store, and went to buy some things and visit her Uncle Dong and Ermao.

I packed two portions each of egg cake, glutinous rice cake, peach cake, malted milk, and canned fruit. I filled my net bag with them and drove back to the military camp.

Changing buses twice was so stressful that my braids were undone. After getting off, I had to walk another three kilometers. Today was a real challenge. By the time I got to Jiang Cha, my back was soaked and my arms felt like they weren't mine.

"Hello, I'm looking for Deputy Commander Dong. Please let me know that I'm his niece, and my last name is Jiang." Not long after, Brother Jiang came out to pick her up. He was her uncle's orderly, which was a strange name.

"Why didn't you call us beforehand when you arrived so we could pick you up? There's no traffic here and it would be so heavy to carry all these things!"

I took the pile of things from her and said to her as we walked, "Even if we don't pick you up, you can take the logistics and procurement car!"

She forgot and walked for so long like a fool. Now her back was wet and her hair was probably messy like a madman.

"By the way, Brother Jiang, I heard on the train that Sichuan Province is locking down the city and arresting people! They say a leader was beaten?" Jiang Cha told Brother Jiang what he heard on the way and asked him what was going on.

"This isn't a secret from you. Several young ladies have gone missing in the city and haven't been found for days. One of them is the daughter of a provincial leader, and we're all busy with this."

"Any clues? No wonder you're not telling the truth. You're a grown woman now and need to be mindful of your reputation."

"No, it's as if he disappeared out of thin air. The train station and the long-distance bus station have been keeping a close eye on him, but there's still no news."

Brother Jiang was talking to her when they soon arrived at Uncle Dong's meeting room. "It's not convenient for you to wait here in the leader's office. You know the confidentiality regulations."

"Our heroine has done nothing more courageous and righteous." "Uncle Dong, you've got your tail caught."

"Master, I heard that several young girls have gone missing in the city?"

"Did you hear this from Xiao Jiang? Several people have been lost, and apart from knowing that they have taken the train recently, we can't find out anything else."

Look how worried she is. Well, maybe her ginger tea can help. 'Uncle, the girls you said were lost have all taken the train. Do you think I can help?'

Uncle Dong glared at her, spinning around in anger. "See what I'm saying. Don't ever say that again. You're your parents' only blood. This kind of thing isn't your business. Do you hear me?"

Jiang Cha looked at him. "Uncle, I have their blood in my veins. Even without a uniform, I'm a descendant of a soldier. You must know that I'm the most suitable person. I'm quite skilled, I just came back from the train station, and most importantly, I'm a grown woman."

You can pick them one by one, but the family members are definitely not capable of it, the communication company and the medical staff may not be as skilled as me, and the art troupe is even less likely to succeed."

Uncle Dong was stunned for a moment by what she said. "Let me think about it. I'll tell you when I've made up my mind."
