Chapter 36 Trivialities Are Really Good

The boiling red soup exudes a spicy aroma, and the table is filled with tripe, old pork slices, coriander meatballs, crispy pork, vine vegetables, and sweet potato skins.

"Try tossing this up and down, then dipping it in the sauce and try it. Doesn't it taste different from fried tripe or shabu-shabu mutton?"

Because it is an old hot pot, the taste is particularly mellow. I didn't even raise my head while drinking the ginger tea, it was so fragrant.

After dinner, the two of them went to the station with the smell of hot pot on their bodies. Bags of Ermao were delivered directly to the carriage. When the whistle sounded, he hurriedly got off the train.

'Have a nice trip and call me when you get home.'

"Okay, be careful, I'll mail you something delicious when you get back."

Leaning against the window, she said goodbye to Ermao. She was about to take another three-day, three-night train ride back home. The conductor had given her a soft sleeper last time, a free upgrade. This was bought for her by Mr. Dong, as her status wasn't high enough.

She sat on her bunk and looked at the others. There were four bunks in total, and hers was the top bunk, so the other three couldn't tell the depth of the bunk.

I took out a novel and lay on the bed to kill time. The biggest advantage of a soft sleeper is that it has a door and is quieter than an ordinary hard sleeper.

The carriage was quiet until the attendant came over to bring hot water. Jiang Cha hadn't realized soft sleeper trains even had water service. She quickly took out her kettle and put some tea leaves in it. The hot water filled the room with the aroma of tea.

"Hey, girl, your tea is really good!" The uncle in the lower bunk opposite said to Jiang Cha with a smile.

"It's okay. I bought it at Qianmen. Would you like some?" She took out the small teapot she brought with her and handed it to the uncle.

"Oh, then I won't be polite. I'm so grateful to you for coming here today. I've been craving this for days! You don't know, when I came here, I thought it was too troublesome, so I just wrapped it with paper to save trouble! Well, who would have thought it would rain heavily here every day, and my tea leaves have grown mold."

He took the tea can and poured out a few tea leaves before handing back the ginger tea. "But thank you, young lady. I'm taking advantage of you today."

"You're welcome. I'm away from home..."

"Give me some too, you two can't just drink it, don't you? Give us some, don't you think, big brother?"

Where did this person come from? He was just an old man here and he was just chatting with her casually. She asked a question because she liked him.

"I see you have so many oranges there, why don't you give us some?" Jiang Cha saw that there were several oranges on her bed and deliberately teased her.

"Why? You've been in the car for so many days, and you've been relying on these fruits for a change of pace. Who are you to give you oranges to eat?" He said confidently, rolling his eyes at Jiang Cha.

It was her bad luck; this woman lived across the street from her. 'You don't even give me oranges, why should I give you tea?' He rolled his eyes at her, not wanting to take any loss.

"Why are you like this? I tell you, my uncle is the leader of the compound. Just wait for me, humph!"
