Volume 1, Chapter 18: The Chen family's plan is wishful thinking
Wu Jiaxiu looked at the cloth. She didn't have enough cloth coupons, so she could only buy six feet of cloth at most.
Her sister-in-law is about to give birth, and as her aunt, she has to show her support in some way.

Sheng Wanyan said yes repeatedly and promised to be careful.
The two old people always thought that she bought it secretly from the lady at the factory gate.

As soon as Mr. and Mrs. Sheng came back, they started eating. Mr. Sheng went to his co-workers to exchange a bicycle ticket today.

Grandpa Sheng glared at Father Sheng, and Father Sheng retracted his foot.
Since asking his own mother failed, he could only go back to his room and ask his wife.

Father Sheng listened to Mother Sheng's chatter for more than half an hour and finally understood the reason.
"The Chen family upstairs?"
"Otherwise, is there any Chen family in the tube building who still has a son who is not married?"
