Chapter 3 was confirmed to have been struck by lightning.

The little girl, seeing her mother's strange behavior, tugged at her brother's sleeve:

"Brother, what's wrong with Mother?"

"I think he probably injured his head."

The knocking on the door grew louder, interspersed with the voice of a middle-aged woman:

"Where are you all? Where have you all gone? Come and open the door now, or I'll take the door down with me!"

The boy bit his lip. He dared not move until the woman made a sound, but he couldn't really let them take the door down.

Seeing that the woman was still looking at his hands, he slowly moved out of the room.

Xiao Yunying didn't care about the commotion outside. After confirming that it was indeed her hand, she fell into deep thought.

Isn't this a dream?

She vaguely remembered seeing rolling landmines.

Not only did we see them, it seems we were also caught up with.

She woke up just now, neither dead nor injured, and she didn't wake up in the hospital. She thought she was dreaming.

Was she struck by lightning and killed? Time travel? Reincarnation?

Thinking of this, Xiao Yunying suddenly felt a sharp pain in her head, a flood of unfamiliar memories rushed into her mind, and her vision went black as she fainted.

When I woke up again, the first thing I saw when I opened my eyes was a middle-aged woman.

Xiao Yunying sighed after merging the memories.

Okay, she confirmed it. She had indeed been hit by a rolling mine and transmigrated into the body of a girl with the same name as her.

Upon seeing that Xiao Yunying had woken up, the woman immediately pulled her into her arms:

"My precious daughter, you're finally awake! You scared me to death!"

Xiao Yunying was not used to having close contact with strangers, and struggled to get out of their arms.

"Daughter, what's wrong?"

Xiao Yunying searched her memories and recognized the woman as Mu Lianrong, the original owner's mother. She coughed slightly and said somewhat awkwardly:

"Cough cough, Mom, you're holding me so tight I can't breathe."

"It's my fault for not noticing; you're still sick."

He reached out and touched Xiao Yunying's forehead: "It's alright, it's not so hot anymore. Your Third Master said that once the fever goes down, you'll be fine."

Xiao Yunying was stunned for a moment. When she was sick before, her mother would often touch her forehead like that.

I don't know if I was unconscious or killed by lightning in that other world. Either way, my parents would be very sad to hear the news.

They're still waiting for me to go home for the Chinese New Year.

Thinking of this, Xiao Yunying couldn't help but tear up.

"Honey, why are you crying? Are you feeling unwell somewhere?"

Xiao Yunying sniffed: "No, I just feel like I miss my mother."

Hearing this, Mu Lianrong felt a pang of sadness in her heart:

“My daughter has suffered. That damned Luo Sheng, he should have never agreed to marry you. After marrying you, he left you here all alone and four children to carry on. He’s going to drag you down with him.”

Mu Lianrong grew angrier the more she thought about it, and slapped her thigh: "Daughter, let's not take him anymore. It's been over a year and he still hasn't come back. He might have died out there. You come home with me now. I'll take care of you for the rest of your life. Don't worry about these four brats. They're not your children."

"Waaah... I don't want Mommy to leave, Mommy, please don't leave me, um..."

The sound of Fourth Sister crying came from outside the door. Her voice trailed off before she could finish speaking, as if someone had covered her mouth.

Mu Lianrong's face darkened, and she quickly walked to the door and opened it.

Xiao Yunying peeked out and saw that Fourth Sister's mouth was covered by a seven or eight-year-old boy. She was clinging to the door frame with both hands and refused to leave, looking at her with teary eyes.

Mu Lianrong scolded the children with an unnatural expression: "What are you doing? You're so young and you're already eavesdropping! Who taught you to be so unruly!"

Xiao Yunying couldn't bear to see the children being scolded, so she got up, got out of bed, put on her shoes, and went to the door.

"Mother, don't scold the children. They were just waiting at the door because they were worried about me."

As soon as he said this, apart from the fourth girl, the other three boys, along with Mu Lianrong, all looked at him with strange eyes.

Xiao Yunying sensed something was wrong and began searching her memories for information about the four children. Her face instantly turned red.

It was common knowledge in the whole village that the original owner constantly beat and scolded these children.

It's already a miracle that these children don't hate her. Concern? Don't even mention Mu Lianrong, she herself doesn't believe that.

Xiao Yunying abruptly changed the subject: "Mother, I'm a little hungry."

"Oh, my dear, hurry back to bed. I made you some porridge, I'll bring it to you right away."

Mu Lianrong ignored the children and went out of the room to the kitchen.

Xiao Yunying and the children looked at each other, unsure of what to say.

He quickly searched his mind for information about the children.

The eldest son, Luo Chen, is eight years old this year.

The second child, Luo Yang, is seven years old this year.

The third child, Luo Li, is five years old this year.

The fourth child, Luo Xin, is the only girl, a little crybaby who is not even three years old.

Luo Chen had already released Luo Xin's mouth and stopped holding her. The little girl seized the opportunity to run to Xiao Yunying and hugged her leg, saying:

"Mother, please don't abandon us. From now on, Fourth Sister will be good and eat less. I will grow up and help you with chores."

Xiao Yunying instinctively tried to create some distance and took a step back, but Luo Xin didn't let go. She was pulled back a step along with Xiao Yunying's leg and was still clinging to her.

For a moment, both the one hugging the legs and the one being hugged were a little confused.
