In the end, Xiao Yunying couldn't stand the awkward atmosphere and took the initiative to speak.
"Um, I didn't know you were back so early. I haven't tidied your room yet. Let me go and tidy it up for you."
After saying that, he got up and left without waiting for Luo Sheng's reaction.
I went to the room a few rooms away from theirs and took out the bedding to air it in the yard.

Luo Sheng sat in the seat that Xin'er and Zheng Yunwan usually shared. Zheng Yunwan washed her hands with the little girl and then sat on the other side.
Xiao Yunying still unceremoniously sat in the so-called "main seat," but slightly to the inside, trying to keep her distance from Luo Sheng.

This taste... it's so familiar.
And the woman's voice, the faint fragrance emanating from her, even the layout of the courtyard—all these things were so similar to the girl who had helped him some time ago.
But as it stands, the girl doesn't recognize him.

Because of the presence of Luo Sheng, a stranger, Luo Xin ate her meal obediently, occasionally stealing glances at the person opposite her.

He drank a bowl of soup, ate a couple of bites of vegetables, and then put down his chopsticks.
"Mom, why aren't you eating? Are you full?"
"Mom is full. What would you like to eat, Xin'er? Let Sister Yunwan get it for you. Mom will go make some milk for Xiao Juzi."
Orange was the name Luo Xin gave to that kitten.
Since Xiao Yunying told her it was an orange cat, Luo Xin simply named it Orange.
Xiao Yunying went to the kitchen, made a bowl of goat milk, and soaked some cat food for the little orange cat.
Then he leaned against the stove, thinking about how to fight Luo Sheng for custody of the little girl.
Her thoughts were interrupted when Zheng Yunwan entered the kitchen.
"Have you finished eating?"
"I'm done eating."
Zheng Yunwan put the dishes into the sink and suddenly asked softly, "Sister Yunying, do you not like that young master coming back?"
That's definitely something I don't like.
However, Xiao Yunying didn't dare to say it aloud. Those martial arts practitioners were sharp-eyed and quick-witted; she didn't want him to hear it.
She sighed, didn't answer, and said, "Go back and rest after you finish washing the dishes. I'll go out and take a look."
Little did she know that her expression had already given Zheng Yunwan the answer.
When Xiao Yunying went out, she saw Luo Sheng walk up to Luo Xin and bend down to talk to the little girl.
She quickly walked over and said, "You must be tired from your journey. I've tidied up a room for you. Go and rest for a while."
Luo Sheng sensed that Xiao Yunying didn't want him to have too much contact with Luo Xin, so she didn't say anything more.
"Take me there."
Xiao Yunying led him to the house she had just cleaned, only to remember that the bedding was still drying in the yard.

These words were merely a question, without any warning or deterrence, as if the speaker knew the children were only temporarily away and would return.

Sending the children to study at Yunshan Academy? She actually sent them to study in the city?

There seemed to be nothing to say between the two. Xiao Yunying said, "I'm going back now. You should get some rest."
She closed the door and quickly left.
She brought Luo Xin back to the house, closed the door, and asked, "Xin'er, what did that person say to you just now?"
Luo Xin replied, "He asked me if I was Luo Xin, and I said yes. He then asked if my mother treated me well, and I said my mother was the best."
Xiao Yunying breathed a sigh of relief for no apparent reason; she didn't know why she had been so nervous.
"Mom knows, go play now."
Luo Xin took off her shoes, climbed onto the kang (a heated brick bed) using a stool, and took out building blocks from her toy cabinet to play with.
