Chapter 401 Cenotaph

Xiao Yunying walked a little further into the hillside and casually picked a bunch of unidentified purple wildflowers and held them in her hand.

In the end, I chose a place that I was quite satisfied with.

Even though she knew no one was around, she still looked around nervously before taking out the wooden box containing the original owner's wedding dress from the supermarket.

The two people in the distance were both shocked when they saw this scene.

Wei Xun couldn't hold back: "Master! She..."

Luo Sheng was much calmer than him: "Shut up, say one more word and then go back."

Wei Xun kept his mouth shut and obediently squatted on the tree without saying another word.

At the same time, I tensed every nerve in my body so that I could react in time in case of any unexpected events.

Because of Xiao Yunying's trickery earlier, the two were afraid of being discovered by her, so they followed at a distance.

Luo Sheng could only vaguely make out the general shape from this spot. He squinted, then jumped onto another tree, getting much closer.

Upon seeing this, Wei Xun hurriedly followed.

He didn't know what kind of person that girl was; he had to ensure his master's safety.

Xiao Yunying was completely unaware that her inhuman behavior had been seen by others, and gently placed the wooden box in the flower bushes beside her.

She squatted down beside her and said, "Yun Ying, look how beautiful the scenery is here!"

After saying that, he lowered his head and smiled, "It feels really strange to have the same name as myself, but what can I do when we share the same name?"

Upon hearing her words, Luo Sheng's suspicions were answered.

She was indeed not the Xiao Yunying she knew.

Xiao Yunying found a rock to sit on and rest for a while. Then she got up, took a shovel from the supermarket, and walked to the open space in the middle of the flower bushes to start shoveling soil.

She had never done anything like this before, so she used the wrong amount of force, and before long, her palms were rubbed red.

"This job is quite tiring."

Xiao Yunying stopped to catch her breath, took out a pair of gloves, put them on, and continued digging the hole.

It took half an hour to dig a pit that was more than a meter deep.

She casually put the shovel aside, wiped the sweat from her brow, took a half-meter-tall wooden box from the supermarket, put it into the pit, straightened it, placed the wooden box on the ground inside, closed the lid, and buried it with soil in one go.

The excess soil was piled into a cone, and that's how a grave should look.

Since she's using the original owner's body now, a proper burial is impossible; we can only erect a cenotaph for her.

Xiao Yunying put the gloves and shovel into the supermarket, took a few sips of mineral water, and put the bottle aside.

She looked around and then picked a few large leaves from the vines in the nearby flowerbed.

Xiao Yunying took a mat from the supermarket and placed it on the ground. She then sat down directly in front of the grave and spread a few leaves in front of her.

She wiped her hands clean with a wet wipe before taking out three different kinds of peaches from the supermarket and arranging them on the leaves.

After doing all this, she stopped and sat there in a daze.

Not long after, she came to her senses and arranged the peaches more attractively before slowly saying, "In my memory, your favorite fruit is peach, right?"

I'm not bragging, but the peaches here aren't very good. Try mine, they're definitely a million times better than yours.

Oh, and this too.

Xiao Yunying took out a small cake she had made herself from the supermarket and placed it on the ground.

"This is a cake. We eat this on birthdays where I'm from. Even that bastard Luo Sheng's eyes lit up after eating it. I think you'll like it a lot."

Upon hearing this, Wei Xun merely glanced at his master's expression.

Seeing that Luo Sheng was just looking at Xiao Yunying intently, as if he hadn't heard her words, he slowly turned his eyes back.

Xiao Yunying pushed the cake towards the grave: "If you like it, you can come to me in a dream, and I'll bring you all sorts of delicious food."

After thinking for a moment, she added, "But just like when you appeared in my dream the day I first arrived, just let me hear your voice, don't let me see it. I'm timid, I'm scared."

Xiao Yunying was unaware that two people were crouching on a large tree not far to her right rear. At this moment, she completely relaxed.

"I don't know if reincarnation really exists in this world. Can you hear what I'm saying?"

She sat there in a daze for a while, then said, "I have a lot to say, let's talk about it one by one."

Before you left, you told me to take good care of the children. You don't need to worry, I've taken good care of them.

Well... except for the occasional minor mishap.

Luo Xin, that little girl, has gained quite a bit of weight. Now I've taken good care of her, and she's fair-skinned and adorable.

I sent the three Luo brothers to Yunshan Academy in the city. No, I should say they were good at it and got in on their own merit.

There's not much to say about Luo Li; she loves to eat and play, but she's generally obedient and sensible.

This child isn't stupid, but he's lazy. Luckily, his two older brothers keep an eye on him, which saves me a lot of trouble. Otherwise, I wouldn't have time to watch him study all the time.

Luo Chen is intelligent, but he is somewhat stubborn and doesn't understand social etiquette. It seems that his previous experiences have caused him considerable trauma.

I can't offer him any advice on this; I just hope he can figure it out on his own.

Luo Yang... had an accident some time ago and was almost abducted.

Luckily, my intuition was right. I didn't listen to Yuan Cheng's advice to wait for troops to suppress the bandits. Instead, I went to the bandits' den myself and rescued Luo Yang. Otherwise, that child's life would have been ruined.

Speaking of this, Xiao Yunying felt a little proud.

"I still feel a bit scared when I think about it now. If Yuancheng hadn't come to pick us up that day, the dozen or so of us would probably have been killed there. Luckily, we escaped unharmed."
