She walked forward while crying and shouting, as if she wanted to rush in.
Xiao Yunying couldn't stand up any longer and shouted at him, "Wan Jun, stop howling, I'm here."
She rubbed her slightly numb legs. "Good heavens, I take back what I just said. I shouldn't have looked down on Wan Jun. This guy may not be the brightest, but his loyalty is genuine."
The fire was so big that he didn't even check if he was inside before trying to rush in.
"Young Madam, are you alright? I thought you'd been silenced by that man!"
"It's alright, I started the fire, I won't get burned."
"That's good, that's good."
Wan Jun wiped his face and picked up the sword from the ground: "Master is fighting with someone in the south. Young Madam, come with me."
"Luo Sheng really came?" Xiao Yunying said with delight, "Let's go, let's go quickly."
She followed Wan Jun's steps southward. She occasionally encountered a few maids who did not know martial arts, but she did not make things difficult for them. She just wanted to see Luo Sheng as soon as possible.
She had expected to witness a bloody fight with arms and legs flying everywhere, but instead, she encountered Luo Sheng running towards her on the road.
Luo Sheng opened his arms as if to hug her, but for some reason stopped not far from her.
Xiao Yunying was confused, but she didn't care and jumped on him: "Why did you stop? Why aren't you hugging me?"
Luo Sheng quickly threw down the sword in his hand and steadily supported her: "Be careful, what if you hurt the baby in your belly?"
"You found out?"
"That's what Feng Yi said."
Xiao Yunying looked at his face by the moonlight: "Why do you look so strange? Did he say anything else?"
"He didn't say anything."
"Yeah?"
Suddenly, Wan Jun said, "Master, didn't that scoundrel say..."
"Shut up, Wan Jun, go check on Wei Xun's situation."
"Okay."
After Wan Jun and Ying Yi left, Xiao Yunying jumped off Luo Sheng: "Tell me, what did that madman say to you?"
"Really nothing?"
"Luo Sheng, don't lie to me." Xiao Yunying said to him seriously, "I don't want us to have any misunderstandings because of what he said. Can we talk things out?"
Luo Sheng couldn't resist her persistent questioning, so he whispered, "He said he promised you the position of empress, and that you followed him willingly. He also said that you offered yourself to him... and had pleasure with him every night... Ugh, anyway, it's all nonsense. It's better not to listen to it, lest it offend your ears. I don't believe a single word of it."
"I'm not stupid. With my handsome face and decent worth, I still had to ask you several times before you agreed to marry me. How could you possibly sell yourself for power and money, especially an old man like me? Don't you think so?"
Xiao Yunying asked suspiciously, "If you don't believe me, why do you look so pale?"
Luo Sheng covered his right arm and said with a wry smile, "That's because you suddenly jumped over and pulled at my wound."
Xiao Yunying then noticed a cut on his black sleeve, the area around which was soaked with blood.
"Ah! I'm sorry, it was too dark for me to see you. How are you? Are you badly hurt?"
Luo Sheng originally wanted to take this opportunity to act more serious, hoping to make his wife feel more sorry for him.
But seeing Xiao Yunying so worried, he couldn't bear it.
"It's nothing serious, just a minor cut."
"Really?"
Xiao Yunying carefully examined his body and was only completely relieved after confirming that the only injury was on his arm.
"Where's Feng Yi? Has he been caught?"
“He’s dead. I killed him.”
