Chapter 7 Woke up, but lost my memory

"System, system, is it here? What's going on now?" Jiang Ning looked frantic.

"Well, to put it simply, it looks like he injured his head and lost his memory."

"Amnesia? What's going on? I don't remember such a plot in the book. How can there be such a ridiculous plot as amnesia? Then how can I carry out my work? How can I make my one million? Haven't you found out anything about his identity?"

"Well, think about it, this might be a good thing. You're already correcting the world's deviated trajectory, and you've successfully taken the first step. But your small step is a giant leap for the world. Look, the out-of-control trajectory has been successfully straightened by your first step, which means you're slowly moving towards success. Young man, don't be so impatient. We're still investigating his identity, so don't be so hasty!"

"Huh? It's already like this, and I'm still not anxious? Are you sure you're not kidding me?"

"Calm down, calm down." The system looked calm and composed.

The mysterious man beside him looked at Jiang Ning's distorted expression and couldn't help asking, "Then who am I? Why am I here? Who are you?"

After saying that, he couldn't help but press his head and groan in pain.

Jiang Ning looked at the mysterious man and knew that he couldn't get anything out of him now.

So he stepped forward and helped the man, who was half leaning against the headboard, to lie down. He said, "Rest well first. Don't be so excited. Once you've rested well, we can slowly reminisce. You haven't eaten for over a day. I'll get you something to eat."

Jiang Ning quickly brought the food, which looked quite rich.

There is mouth-watering rabbit meat soup, which Jiang Ning specially reserved for the boss before making rabbit meat, so that he can eat delicious food after waking up and remember her kindness.

Of course, the first rule is to always hold on to the boss's thighs.

When she thought of this, Jiang Ning was afraid that the boss's mouth would have no taste, so she even prepared some pickled vegetables for seasoning, and of course the same corn rice that had never changed. It was not that Jiang Ning did not want to give the boss white rice, but she really did not have any. Even a good cook cannot cook without rice.

While cooking, Jiang Ning quickly adjusted his mentality. Coming here was definitely going to be a protracted battle, so he couldn't be so impatient.

After all, you can't eat hot tofu in a hurry.

But she must hold on to the boss's thighs. No matter whether he has lost his memory or not, he will definitely remember it. When the boss recovers his memory, any small favors he shows may be helpful for Jiang Ning's journey home, so she must be patient.

Now this big guy is the one that Jiang Ning focuses on.

But because of the headache, the boss didn't eat much. After eating half a bowl of rice, he couldn't eat anymore.

She had no choice but to clean up the food and let the boss take a rest. After he had rested, Jiang Ning wanted to guide the boss to help recall the past. Maybe after a good sleep tonight, he would be able to remember everything tomorrow?

Since the boss might have been unconscious for quite some time, or perhaps because of the pain from the wound, Jiang Ning estimated that the boss might have woken up after only sleeping for an hour.

After waking up, as expected, I still couldn't remember who I was. I only remembered that my name was Chen Yan, and I didn't know anything else.

"It's okay, it's okay. Fortunately, you still remember your name, right? Don't be discouraged. I will help you check the system to see if there is any information with this name." The system couldn't help but comfort.

"Yeah, it's better than not remembering anything. At least I still know my name. Even if he has lost his memory, I can still go out and ask around to see if anyone knows him."

It's better to have something than nothing.

Jiang Ning looked at the boss lying on the bed, comforting him and asking him to have a good rest. At the same time, he was thinking about how to get the boss to stay after his family came back, and to find out if they had heard of Chen Yan.

Jiang Ning acted immediately and went out for a walk. He did not hear any news about Chen Yan through the extensive information network of his aunts and uncles. They all said they had never heard of him.

The system also did not find any information about this name in the database.

After the whole family finished work and went home to have dinner, Jiang Ning explained to the family that the man she and her second brother picked up only remembered his own name for the time being and didn't remember anything else.

The Jiang family also said that they had never heard of the name Chen Yan, and they guessed that he might have come from another place to make a living.

But the style of the man's clothes and his temperament did not make him look like a refugee from famine. Instead, he looked like an educated youth sent to the countryside.

After all, at this time, the clothes farmers wore were mostly blue or black. Why was this so? Because the fabrics were cheap or the handmade fabrics were coarse. Another reason was that families with large families were hard to come by with cloth coupons. With so many people waiting to eat, there was no spare money to make clothes. Many clothes were worn by the eldest child, then the second child, and so on. The patches on the clothes were piled on top of each other. Because of this, a saying was widely circulated among rural families: "Three years old, three years old, three years old, three years old, mend again."

But the man who was picked up was wearing a white Dacron shirt, blue pants which were very fashionable at that time, and durable Liberation shoes.

Most people can't afford this kind of clothes, especially the Liberation shoes on men's feet. Young people nowadays are proud to have a pair of Liberation shoes.
