Chapter 9 It’s nice to be home

When Li Yue'er brought the clothes over, Zhou Yuan pretended to be hesitant and said, "I think a larger size would be fine, but forget it, let's just make do with it."

"What's wrong with you? Are you trying to make trouble for others on purpose?" Li Yue'er raised her eyebrows and rolled her eyes.

Zhou Yuan smiled brightly, "Who gave you this job? A waiter should provide good service. Bad service like yours, glaring at customers all the time, will lead to complaints."

"What the hell is the point of complaining? You're just making things difficult for me." Li Yue'er felt insulted by someone and was very dissatisfied. The clothes in her hands shook heavily and her eyes were as big as copper bells.

Zhou Yuan shrugged casually, teasing her deliberately: "In that case, how about we talk to your manager and let him judge the situation?"

"The manager is not here, don't scare me with him." Li Yue'er rolled her eyes again and said, "Have you decided? If you have, go and pay the bill. I doubt your money was stolen."

"Maybe, who knows? Even if it's stolen, as long as no one comes after me and it's not against the law, it's fine."

Zhou Yuan shrugged, took the clothes and walked out of the fitting room. He waved to someone and said with a smile, "Goodbye, class beauty. I hope you find a boyfriend who is more handsome and richer than me."

"That's for sure. You don't have to worry about my affairs."

Li Yue'er felt that meeting this plague god today was like meeting her natural nemesis, bringing bad luck to her.

Zhou Yuan, in a good mood, went to the shoe counter, picked out a pair of leather shoes, and then paid at the checkout.

In 1985, these department stores were all state-owned, and business was good because there was less competition.

The waiters there were treated very well, but unfortunately, with the tide of reform and opening up, most of these department stores that were once very popular were eventually submerged in the tide and no news was heard of them at all.

When Li Yue'er saw Zhou Yuan again, he had already made great changes and was no longer the same as before.

Of course, this is a later story.

It is said that Zhou Yuan walked out of the department store, found a public toilet, took off his clothes, changed into his newly bought clothes, shoes, and socks, and immediately felt much more energetic.

After walking out of the bathroom, he found a window glass that could reflect a person's reflection, and shone through the glass. He found that the boy inside was completely different from before.

It is said that money is a good thing, no wonder so many people are desperate to make money.

Wow, the Zhou Yuan in the glass is completely different from the Zhou Yuan in dirty clothes before.

It goes without saying that he is tall and straight. The key is that his nose is a nose and his eyes are eyes. His facial features are arranged very neatly and symmetrically.

He has double eyelids, so his eyes are neither big nor small, he has a high nose bridge, his mouth is neither big nor small, his lips are neither thick nor thin, and because he is relatively thin, his Adam's apple is very high.

The whole person looks well-defined, heroic and energetic.

If it didn't have a bit of an earthy feel, it would look even cooler!

However, it was this earthy smell that Zhou Yuan wanted to maintain.

No matter when, he reminded himself not to forget that he was a child from the countryside and not to forget the suffering and pain he had endured.

There are also other people's contempt and sarcasm.

These will become the driving force of his life, pushing him forward with great strides.

It takes about eight hours to take a bus from the provincial capital to Zhou Yuan’s hometown county, and the entire route was on very bad gravel roads.

Unlike today's wide and straight highways, it would only take three or four hours to get there.

Unfortunately, it took almost a whole day. Zhou Yuan took the 12 noon bus and arrived at his hometown county after 8 o'clock.

It takes another two hours to get from the county town to his hometown, and it takes nearly an hour from the town to his home.

There were no buses after four or five in the afternoon, so he had to stay in a hotel in the county and could not get home until the next day.

The reason why he was in a hurry to go home was not because he had some money and wanted to show off.

But the last time I went home, my father’s illness was not completely cured and he still needed treatment, but unfortunately the family had no money.

My mother always coughs, especially in autumn and winter, when the cough becomes more severe.

So he wanted to take advantage of the time when he had money and free time to go home and take his parents to a big hospital in the city for a comprehensive examination and cure their illness.

My parents are not old yet, only in their forties. If they are not sick, they are in their prime.

My family was poor before and they suffered so much. Now that conditions have changed, I must let my parents enjoy themselves and live a comfortable life.

And my younger sister, I must let her study hard and get into college in the future, so that she won’t be like me, who didn’t even have the chance to enter college.

Lying in a hotel in the county town, Zhou Yuan, unable to sleep, was thinking about his worries.

After experiencing rebirth, Zhou Yuan knows even more about the importance of cultural knowledge.

He also thought that he was only 20 years old, so why not just contact the teacher, go to school to repeat the year, try to get into university, and experience university life.

However, he felt that this idea was not very realistic. Repeating a grade would take one or two years, and going to college would take another four years. It would take five or six years after graduation.

If he had ventured into society in the past five or six years, he might have made a name for himself with his experience of rebirth and his own knowledge.

So after thinking about it, Zhou Yuan couldn't make a decision.

Finally, he hit his forehead and thought of starting a business and studying at the same time. Aren’t there many correspondence universities for adults now?
