Qiao He felt that the so-called Dr. Lin was definitely not a good person!
It's highly likely they took Joss with them, but we don't know where they escaped to.

She wanted to find clues, such as the origins of the people here, their backgrounds and connections, the identities of the lab technicians and senior researchers, and information about Dr. Lin.
If we find just one, we might be able to follow the clues and uncover the entire research institute organization!
Although the network is basically paralyzed now, the system can still help her search in the online world, so as long as she finds even the slightest clue, she will have a lead to find Jos!
She also asked Bo Shiwu to find clues, and the two of them started to act separately, which would be faster.

Qiao He ignored him.
They continued searching for clues, even rummaging through the ashes to see if there were any unburnt pieces of paper.
However, it's a pity.
Everything inside was burned to the ground, completely destroyed...
Qiao He was at her wits' end. She felt that the chances of finding any clues were slim to none.
But Qiao He still didn't give up. What if, what if she found it?!
So Qiao He began to search even more diligently, but to no avail.
Bo Shiwu's situation was similar to hers.
The two then met.
Bo Shiwu said in a low voice, "No, there's nothing left. They took all the important data, and what they couldn't take was probably destroyed. The computers were all smashed."
Qiao He sighed, her face looking rather grim.
What else can they do?
Just then, Bo Shiwu suddenly noticed an unnatural spot on the ground. He frowned slightly, then squatted down to look at the dirty floor tile.
"It seems to be a mechanism." Bo Shiwu's expression turned serious.
Qiao He's eyes widened slightly: "Huh? Really...?"
Is this place an office or a laboratory, or even a cemetery?
However, calling it a grave is plausible, because all the animals and humans who remained here died; not a single one survived.
Just then, Bo Shiwu suddenly triggered some mechanism!
The next moment, the ground began to shake.
Bo Shiwu grabbed Qiao He's wrist and pulled her behind him.
The man's palms were large and very warm.
Qiao He couldn't help but feel at ease. So this is what it feels like to be protected. It feels so good to be cared for...
As the ground trembled slightly and the floor tiles were moved, they soon discovered an entrance leading down to the ground, along with an iron staircase. It seemed that there was a laboratory below.
I'm just not quite sure what's in there.
Qiao He and Bo Shiwu exchanged a glance, and Qiao He asked, "So, shall we go down?"
Bo Shiwu said calmly, "Of course, I'll go first, and you'll follow behind me."
