Qiao He was deeply moved by how sensible her children were.
She then pulled Bo Shiwu to rest. At first, Bo Shiwu didn't want to rest, but looking at Qiao He's seemingly expressive eyes, he had no choice but to give in.
Anyway, he only needs me to rest for a few hours to sleep.
The kittens take turns guarding the area, so there's no problem.
After Qiao He fell asleep, the kittens encountered a small problem outside, but it wasn't anything serious; it was just a few survivors who had sneaked away to this area.
They didn't look like patrolmen, because they all looked very weak, as if they were about to starve to death.
Qiao Li glanced out the window to make sure they wouldn't enter the hotel, so she didn't alert anyone else.
However, the kittens became more wary because of their arrival.
After all, although these people may look weak, if they become desperate and rush over to steal our supplies, causing too much noise and attracting the attention of the patrols, that would be bad.
So the kittens took turns keeping an eye on the group of people hiding in the shopping mall across the street.
Five men, four women, and one child.
They were all pale and thin, severely malnourished, with dark circles under their eyes.
Although they hid inside the shopping mall, it was a mess and there was nothing there.
The supermarket shelves were lying on the ground in disarray, clearly indicating that the place had been looted.
Everything, whether it was food, drink, daily necessities, or clothing, was taken away!
Only some tables and chairs were left.
Fortunately, the city's water supply had not been cut off, so they were able to get water after escaping here.
But even so, it couldn't save them.
Because they hadn't eaten for far too many days.
Two hours later, Bo Shiwu opened her eyes precisely on time.
He quietly got up from the bed next to him and watched Qiao He sleeping for a while.
The little girl had a peaceful expression when she was asleep, and she looked like a little angel.
Her smooth, full forehead, long chestnut-brown hair, and thick, curly eyelashes made her look like a black butterfly about to take flight—very beautiful.
Bo Shiwu watched for a while, becoming more and more engrossed.
He had no idea how infatuated he was with his gaze.
However, Bo Shiwu didn't stay long before carefully opening the door and leaving.
He has had enough rest.
After leaving the house, Bo Shiwu asked Qiao Li if anything had happened.
He knew the kittens could understand human speech, but they just couldn't speak it yet.
Before Qiao Li could even meow, Qiao Yin stepped forward and transformed into a cute little human boy. His cat ears and tail were still not quite tucked in properly, making him look both adorable and endearing.
Bo Shiwu suppressed the urge to pat Qiao Yin's head and ears, and asked softly, "Has anyone approached here?"
Qiao Yin walked to the window, pointed to the shopping mall across the street, and said in a childish voice, "There, someone's coming."
Bo Shiwu narrowed her eyes slightly. "Who is it? Let me see."
After saying that, Bo Shiwu picked up his binoculars and looked at the shopping mall across the street.
It was a group of people, all of whom looked like refugees.
“They’re not patrolling people; they seem to be refugees who have escaped,” Bo Shiwu said in a low voice.
Qiao Li nodded. "Yes, they must have been hungry for a long time, and the child seems to be sick."
Qiao Yin relayed what Qiao Li had just said to Bo Shiwu, who was slightly surprised, "How did you know that the child was sick?"
Qiao Li said calmly, "It's simple, the child's scent is off."
Qiao Yin said smugly, "It's just that the smell is off. Our Ah Li has a really sharp nose!"
Bo Shiwu raised an eyebrow slightly and said with a light laugh, "They are indeed very powerful. Let's ignore them for now. They probably haven't discovered that we are here yet."
Qiao Li and Qiao Yin nodded, and the two kittens continued to dutifully keep an eye on the group of people.
If they made any move, or if patrol members appeared nearby, they would immediately inform Bo Shiwu and Qiao He.
Bo Shiwu said, "You guys go and rest for a while, I'll supervise."
Qiao Yin stood in front of him, her beautiful cat-like eyes looking at Bo Shiwu, watery and especially cute. "Can you have four eyes by yourself?"
"We need to supervise from all sides!" Qiao Yin looked worried about having Bo Shiwu supervise him.
Bo Shiwu chuckled, "Aren't you tired?"
Qiao Yin hummed in agreement, "Of course we're not tired! Protecting Mommy, we won't get tired!"
Bo Shiwu couldn't resist this time. He reached out his warm hand and gently rubbed Qiao Yin's head, even touching her bouncy cat ears.
"Okay, I understand, Ah Yin, then I'll trouble you." Bo Shiwu's tone softened involuntarily.
He was originally a cold, hard stone. The kittens especially disliked Bo Shiwu, who was an extremely cold, seemingly emotionless, two-legged creature.
Furthermore, Bo Shiwu always carried a bloody smell, which frightened the cat.
However, after spending time with him, she discovered that Bo Shiwu was not that kind of person.
After being patted on the head, Qiao Yin glared at Bo Shiwu, feeling both embarrassed and angry, and grumbled, "Don't touch me! Only Mommy can touch my head and ears!"
After saying that, Qiao Yin, her cat ears turning red, went to the side to keep an eye on what was happening outside.
Bo Shiwu chuckled softly, then noticed that Qiao Yin's cat ears twitched slightly, which was quite adorable.
Qiao Li glanced at Bo Shiwu coldly, ignored him, and continued to stare at the group of people in the shopping mall.
