Chapter 13 Is this a confession?

Aunt Lu was the only one busy in the kitchen shared by four families.

"Yingying? Why are you up so early today? Where's your mother?"

"My mom was very tired yesterday. She was either at work or at the hospital taking care of grandma. She came home very late last night. I wanted her to sleep a little longer."

Du Wanying explained politely that she didn't want her mother to be misunderstood.

Aunt Lu praised sincerely, "Yingying has grown up and knows how to be considerate of her parents. Unlike those two debt collectors in my family, who would rather sleep until noon."

Aunt Zhang spoke as she walked, holding an aluminum pot in one hand.

When I got closer, I found that it was Du Wanying making egg pancakes.

"Yingying, why isn't your mom cooking today? The omelets you made are so delicious!"

"Auntie, my grandma is in the hospital. I'm going to make some egg pancakes to supplement her nutrition. As for my mom, I want her to sleep a little longer."
