It was already evening when Bai Guoguo woke up from a sweet dream.
She was awakened by the maid knocking on the door.
"Miss, the madam asked me to call you to eat. She came up to check on you twice while you were sleeping, but this time she said you'd slept too long and hadn't eaten for so long that it might be bad for your stomach, so she asked you to come down to eat!"
A dark-skinned Filipino maid said respectfully outside the door.
"Okay, I got it. Go tell your wife, I'll be right down!"
Bai Guoguo struggled to crawl out of the soft quilt, stretched, and then replied.
"Yes, I'll tell the madam right away!" The maid replied and turned to go downstairs.
"I'm sorry that Mother Du was thinking of me. I just came back and didn't have time to give her a gift. I have to pack two beautiful pieces of jewelry for her later!" Bai Guoguo thought to herself.
She got up and took care of some personal matters, then quickly opened the closet and chose a white cotton dress.
