Chapter 104 Unexpected Visit

In a high-end residential community by the sea, Anning's residence is like a tranquil harbor, peaceful and cozy.

Today, the sunlight shone through the gaps in the curtains, falling on Anning's pure white loungewear, as if draping her in a soft halo.

An Ning wore a simple yet elegant white loungewear outfit and had her hair tied in a cute bun, looking fresh and refined, like a clear mountain spring that was refreshing and delightful.

As the door opened gently and Zhang Fan stepped into the tranquil space, An Ning's gaze involuntarily fell upon him.

At that moment, a subtle blush rose on her cheeks, like a peach blossom just beginning to bloom in the morning light, shy yet captivating.

This time, she took the initiative to invite the man over, but even so, her heart was filled with girlish shyness and anticipation.

The door closed slowly, shutting out all the noise from the outside world, and the room instantly became quiet and mysterious.

An Ning lowered her head and retreated step by step. Her movements were filled with a sense of panic and helplessness, like a fawn being chased, making one want to protect her.

A subtle light flickered in his eyes, revealing both anticipation for the future and a hint of tension and unease.

Finally, when she was backed against the wall and could go no further, she stopped and looked up at Zhang Fan.

In that instant, their eyes met, and it felt as if an invisible current was flowing through the air.

Zhang Fan's eyes were deep and intense, as if they possessed a magical power that made An Ning's heart beat faster involuntarily.

Anning felt as if she had been caught in a vortex, unable to resist its powerful attraction.

Anning's heart was pounding. She felt like a leaf drifting in the wind, completely unable to control her direction.

My breathing became increasingly rapid, and every molecule in the air seemed to be filled with an ambiguous scent.

I gently closed my eyes, as if welcoming the tenderness that was about to arrive.

Just then, a warm and powerful aura suddenly approached her. It was Zhang Fan's aura, carrying a unique masculine charm and a sense of security.

His breath gently brushed against her neck, causing her to tremble involuntarily.

Those strong hands slowly wrapped around her waist, pressing her tightly against the wall, as if at that moment, all her unease and tension had been dispelled.

The atmosphere reached an unprecedented height at that moment, filled with an indescribable tension.

Time seemed to freeze at that moment, and their world consisted only of each other.

Sunlight streamed through the curtains, adding a touch of poetry and romance to the ambiguous atmosphere.

As the atmosphere gradually intensified, An Ning slightly opened her eyes and was surprised to see Zhang Fan take out a small video camera and place it in front of her.

"You can only see it yourself, you can't share it with anyone else."

A sound as fine as a crack came through.

Zhang Fan was just putting on an act to see if this was a little white rabbit or a big bad wolf.

If you disagree, it's a trap.

But now they actually let me record a video?

So the little white rabbit just wanted to test me out?

Zhang Fan hugged An Ning tightly. Now it was time to do something meaningful: teach the little white rabbit a lesson.

Just then, there was another knock on the door.

The knocking made both of them look over at the same time.

An Ning quickly pulled Zhang Fan into the room and hid him in a wardrobe.

Anning hurriedly went into the bathroom, turned on the tap, and the cool water washed over her face, trying to wash away the panic and tension in her heart.

She stood in front of the mirror, gently patting her rosy cheeks, trying to calm herself down.

The knocking on the door sounded again, accompanied by her parents' slightly reproachful questions, making her realize the urgency of the situation.

"Coming, coming!" An Ning responded, quickly drying her face with a towel and casually tying her hair up, trying to make herself look more presentable.

She took a deep breath, walked to the door, and gently turned the lock. The door slowly opened, revealing three slightly surprised faces—her parents and a middle-aged man.

"Anning, what are you doing? Why did it take you so long to open the door?" Her mother's voice carried a hint of reproach, but her eyes were full of concern.

The father stood to the side, his expression slightly serious, seemingly dissatisfied with his daughter's slowness.

The middle-aged man was Lu Yi, the guest they had brought with them on this trip.

The moment Lu Yi's gaze met An Ning's, it instantly became intense, an indescribable, slightly aggressive look that made An Ning feel somewhat uncomfortable.

She instinctively pulled her loungewear tighter. Although she had tried her best to look neat, she still felt a little awkward in this unexpected situation.

"Dad, Mom, why did you come so suddenly?" An Ning forced a smile, trying to hide her inner panic.

As she spoke, she pulled her parents to sit down in the living room, and quickly took a coat from the hanger and put it on, trying to increase her sense of security.

“This is Mr. Lu Yi, the CEO of the Greater China region,” my mother introduced, her tone filled with respect. “His multinational company holds a pivotal position in mainland China, so this is a rare opportunity to meet him.”

An Ning nodded slightly, her gaze falling on Lu Yi, and greeted him politely.

Observing this middle-aged man on whom his parents had placed high hopes, one could see that he was wearing a well-tailored suit, his hair was perfectly styled, and he even had light makeup on his face, trying to conceal the traces of time.

However, no matter how hard he tried, he could not hide the weariness and vicissitudes revealed in his eyes, as well as the lines of time that inadvertently appeared at the corners of his mouth.

"Mr. Lu, hello." An Ning's voice was clear and pleasant, but her eyes revealed a hint of scrutiny and curiosity.

She estimated Lu Yi's age and secretly wondered: He must be more than forty years old, right? Perhaps he's close to fifty, or even older? Although he tries his best to maintain a youthful appearance, the marks of time cannot be completely hidden.

"Anning, you're too kind," Lu Yi replied with a smile, a smile that carried a touch of the shrewdness and worldliness typical of a businessman.

He seemed to sense An Ning's curiosity and scrutiny, but he didn't care. Instead, he became even more eager to get closer to her.

“Your company has invested a lot of money recently. Have you made any progress yet? Lu Yi is the leader in the cosmetics industry and runs a multinational company. You will definitely benefit from learning from him.”

The woman spoke again.

"We're researching it, and we've made some progress."

An Ning could only say something casually, then glanced at the room inside. Her father had already gone in. She was very worried that her father would discover that there was a man hiding inside!
