Chapter 156 Dinner is ready

Chapter 156 Dinner is ready

Tong Zhongyuan opened the door, put Qin Tian's luggage on the luggage rack, and hung his backpack in the closet. He walked to the bed, took off his sweater, and put on a T-shirt. As expected, he was wearing nothing underneath.

"Let's take the matter of changing Tianmu back together." After changing his clothes, he looked at Qin Tian and said.

"But... you told me to go to the airport. And I thought about it. Those people are coming for me. If I go back, you will be safer here."

"They're not after you," Tong Zhongyuan said. "They're after money. They want a channel, and now that they have it, they won't act rashly before verifying it."

When she'd seen the altered data in the paper, guilt had overwhelmed her, oblivious to anything else. Only now did Qin Tiancai suddenly realize that Tong Zhongyuan had given them false data. Once they'd added fake radiation levels to the porcelain and had it rejected for sale, they'd understand. She looked up in astonishment. He'd definitely not missed such a simple point. The consequences of giving someone false data were far more severe than simply rejecting the paper.

"You—" Her throat tightened, and an inexplicable anger rose. "Why did you do this! My refusal to cooperate with them was at most uncooperative, but I don't believe they would dare to do anything to me. But you gave them false data just to tease them! When they realize it, they will definitely not let you go. Tong Zhongyuan! Are you crazy? You ran to Tokyo without saying a word, just to use false data to help me get out of this situation and bring the trouble upon yourself?! I don't need it! I don't need you to do this!!"

Tong Zhongyuan stared silently into her angry eyes. It was strange. She was the one throwing a tantrum, but now he wasn't angry at all, he was actually... a little happy.

"Whether it's necessary or not, we've already done it. It'll take them at least a month or two to verify the data. We'll figure out what to do next."

He reached out his hand and wanted to touch her head, but she opened his hand.

"One or two months? How am I supposed to get through those two months?! I'm not as calm as you. I'll be worried every day, afraid that something bad might happen to you. I'll always think that I'm the one who hurt you!"

Tong Zhongyuan reached out and held her face again. There was only her in his deep pupils, and warm water was gently shaking in his chest.

"You won't hurt me. Everything I do is my own choice."

Qin Tian pulled his hand away and turned her back to him. Heat welled up in her eyes, and she didn't want him to see it. His words of comfort were powerless. From the moment he went to Niya, he had no choice. He had been kidnapped by her. One thing after another, it hindered his return home, hindered his future. Until—even his personal safety was threatened. Her heartbroken voice was intermittent.

"It's my fault. You were fine in England... fine..."

Tong Zhongyuan chuckled. He knew he shouldn't laugh now, but her sobbing brought him joy like flowing water, and the sight of her folded arms, trembling slightly, was so moving. The slap on his face, the words that had stung him, vanished in the sound of her sobs, leaving no trace.

He slowly embraced her from behind, his chin buried in her hair, and together they gazed out the window at the snowy scene. The lights of Ginza cast a hazy glow through the falling snow. In the distance, the Christmas tree twinkled in the snow, its red and green lights reflected through the glass onto the carpet.

"I'm fine now."

A low and gentle voice lingered in her ears.

"I'm glad the Heart-Turning Bottle was broken."

At some point, he engulfed her lips, and as their tongues intertwined, he vaguely wondered if her passionate reaction, her lingering entanglement, was due to love or guilt?

He had always believed that Qin Tian would fall in love with him, sooner or later. His conviction had never wavered. He had always been patient, but lately, he couldn't wait for "later." He just wanted it to happen sooner, sooner.

Even if the love he wanted was paved with guilt, he didn't mind. His hands slipped silently into her clothes and wandered over her smooth skin.

She shuddered, but didn't push him away, nor did she dodge. She closed her eyes, her thick eyelashes repeatedly casting touching shadows across her nose, and her lips were moist and shiny.

Was this taking advantage of someone's misfortune? Today, she wouldn't refuse him no matter what he did. He stroked his hand over her bare back, sighing deeply as he held her soft body tighter and tighter, inseparable.

Qin Tian's consciousness drifted ever lighter, his scent filling her lips and nose, leaving her feeling overwhelmed. Their bodies pressed tightly together, making no attempt to conceal his intentions. She knew, understood, that their relationship couldn't last forever, but she didn't care. Even for just a moment, she wanted to possess him completely. Her hand, wrapped around his waist, lifted his T-shirt, and rested her palm on his hot, exposed skin.

With a loud bang, the world spun, and she was launched into the air, her foot seemingly knocking something over. Without even a moment to think, she landed on her back on the mattress. Tong Zhongyuan's handsome face was against the light, his hands on either side of her, looking down at her.

Her silken hair covered the sheets like a mermaid under the sea, and she reflected him in her wet eyes, which were pink-rimmed and still had traces of tears.

The lust of his body was like a stormy sea, thunder and lightning rumbling low in the clouds. Whether it was taking advantage of someone's misfortune or exploiting their misfortune, he didn't want to let go. He wanted to follow her to the bottom of the sea, he wanted to follow her anywhere, to cling to her until the end. This was his last thought before he was completely swallowed by the surging waves.

He leaned over and started a passionate, suffocating, endless kiss.

The room was silent, filled only by the sound of long, calm breathing. Tong Zhongyuan's last act before falling asleep was to place his phone under his pillow. His pillow was vibrating, and he reached out to touch it with his eyes closed, only to wake up instantly.

Tong Zhongyuan gently removed his hand from Qin Tian's waist, lifted the quilt, walked into the bathroom barefoot, and quietly closed the door.

"Hello, I'm Tong Zhongyuan."

Qin Tian felt like she'd slept for a long time, yet it also seemed like only a moment. She turned over in her sleep, thinking it would be like any other time, allowing her to return to a more comfortable position. But halfway through, she felt something was wrong. Her body felt heavy and dull, aching as if it had been run over by a heavy object. She groaned and blearily opened her eyes.

The room was lit only by the dim lights of the markers. Tong Zhongyuan half-lay beside her, gazing at her with half-closed eyes, his gaze like the sunshine and breeze of an April day. Qin Tian opened her eyes and stared at him unfocused. Tong Zhongyuan curled his lips, reached out to cover her eyes, and murmured hypnotically, "It's still early, go back to sleep."

"What time is it?" She closed her eyes and her voice was hoarse.

He lifted the quilt and came in, holding her in his arms, rubbing his chin against her neck and nibbling her ear.

"It's not even daybreak yet."

Qin Tian felt drowsy from his warmth, her eyelids heavy again. Last night… or rather, I didn't fall asleep until early this morning. How could it still be dark? She closed her eyes and reached for her phone, but after a few unsuccessful attempts, Tong Zhongyuan took her hand and tucked it back under the covers, their arms entwined and their embrace tightened.

Qin Tian originally wanted to sleep, but he was covered by him until he was sweating and gradually regained consciousness.

"What time is it? Why am I hungry?"

Tong Zhongyuan kissed her shoulder. It looked like he couldn't hide it any longer; breakfast time was over.

"Then get up, let's go have lunch."

Qin Tian woke up completely and pushed his chest away a little with his hands.

"Lunch?? What time is it??"

"11 o'clock."

“11 o’clock?!”

"Don't worry." Tong Zhongyuan slowly got up from the bed and drew aside the curtains, letting the scorching midday light stream into the room. "Mrs. Sun Yat-sen has agreed to sell the Tianmu to the Shanghai Museum. She and I have an appointment to sign the contract at 2 p.m."

"What?? She called?? Why didn't you wake me up!!"

"Didn't you say you would leave it all to me?"

"I was going to give it to you! But you refused, saying you wanted to go together."

"Yes, I'm telling you now. Let's go together later."

Qin Tian was furious. That wasn't what he said yesterday. He was saying both the truth and the sarcasm. The most hateful thing was that she didn't know how to refute him. She could only yell at him: "Tong Zhongyuan! You are so annoying!"

He crawled under the quilt again, held her in his arms, and whispered in her ear: "What's wrong with me?"

Qin Tian's face suddenly turned hot and he felt that he was even more annoying.

Tong Zhongyuan kissed her hair: "Two o'clock is perfect. If we rush over right after she calls, she'll get suspicious. You wash up, and we'll go eat first."

Qin Tian woke up and discovered that Tong Zhongyuan had already packed their belongings while she slept. He had placed her clothes for the day at the foot of the bed. The contract had already been printed, and she scanned it, finding no issues. After all, a contract he had prepared would always be more complete than one she had prepared.

She looked at him suspiciously. She was a light sleeper, and he had done so much, yet he hadn't woken her up?! After hearing her question, he said nonchalantly, "A light sleeper? Let's sleep together from now on. You'll sleep better, and you'll sleep well when you're tired."

Qin Tian was so angry that he punched him a few times. This guy was too shameless and shamelessly said that they would sleep together in the future. He said innocently: "What did I say? Is there anything wrong with sleeping well when you are tired?"

She no longer paid attention to him, but this did not work for him at all. He did not need to ask her opinion, he would put his arm around her waist anytime, anywhere, kiss her cheek, and walk hand in hand with her on the streets of Tokyo on Christmas after a night of snow.
