“We’re graduated!”
Amidst deafening cheers, hundreds of papers flew in the air, were thrown out from every window on the fourth floor, and landed on the playground and the grass.
The long yet short high school career is over.
Qin Yizhang looked around the campus. The familiar scenes were about to become memories, and she was about to embark on a new journey.

Qin Yunjie smiled and said, "For me, it's worth it. For you, I don't know."

"It's about time. I'll take you to the train station."
"No need, my classmate lives nearby. Let's meet at the bus stop and go together."
Qin Yizhang went out and saw Tong Zhongyuan as soon as he reached the entrance of the alley. He was carrying the travel bag that had originally contained Monchichi.
"I'm going too," he declared without question.
The platform was bustling with people, even though everyone was clearly taking the same train, yet they were still scrambling to get on. Zhang Li wanted to turn back, but she was already swept onto the train without even touching the ground. Her last glance back saw Tong Zhongyuan cradling Qin Yizhang in his arms, watching indifferently as she and Wang Jiayuan were jostled by a pile of snakeskin bags.
In the taxi earlier, Zhang Li and Wang Jiayuan couldn't suppress their urge to scream, pinching Qin Yizhang's legs the entire way. Qin Yizhang sat between them, head bowed and silent, like a prisoner under torture. Tong Zhongyuan sat calmly in the passenger seat, oblivious to their glares.
She had known it all along! Tong Zhongyuan liked Qin Yizhang! But she hadn't imagined they were not only dating, but even planning a trip together! This was truly shocking. If Tong Zhongyuan hadn't been right here, she and Wang Jiayuan would have let out groundhog screams and immediately questioned Qin Yizhang.
She was only waiting for Qin Yizhang to get a seat and then question him thoroughly. Tong Zhongyuan would definitely come with her, but he had bought a ticket later and didn't sit next to them. With his own ticket, it would be hard to find someone willing to exchange.
Her guess was correct. As soon as she got on the bus, the window seat they had bought was already occupied by someone. It was a pregnant woman. Her husband was sitting next to her. When he saw them coming, he asked if he could change seats so that he could take better care of her.
Zhang Li was frustrated. The three of them were sitting next to each other, so who should they move? Tong Zhongyuan understood immediately. His first words to Zhang Li and Wang Jiayuan were, "Please sit down."
He didn't want to sit with these two people in the first place, so it was just right that they changed seats.
The husband took out his ticket and handed it to Qin Yizhang, pointing to a seat at the back of the carriage. It was an aisle seat. Next to it, in the window seat, sat a middle-aged woman with dark green eyeliner tattoos. She was eating a bag of sunflower seeds.
Zhang Li's heart sank even more when he saw it. This type of aunt was exactly the most difficult person to deal with in the stereotype, and she was sitting next to the window. No wonder her husband couldn't handle her and came to deal with these kids.
Tong Zhongyuan took the ticket from the husband and gave him Qin Yizhan's ticket.

When the train entered Beijing Station, she felt relieved.

"Have you guys done that yet?"

Qin Yizhang rearranged the bed sheets. The three girls slept in one room. She had just asked Tong Zhongyuan to push the two beds together so that the three of them could squeeze together at night.

"So what about tonight? Are you still going to have dinner together?"

Tong Zhongyuan had just hung up the phone when Qin Yizhang came back with a takeaway box.
"Before Zhang Li came, she said she wanted to eat donkey rolls. We happened to have them here, so I packed a box for her."
"Your classmates just called and said they're going out now and won't be waiting for you."
"Ah...why? I'll call her and ask where they're going. We'll go meet up with them."
Tong Zhongyuan held her phone. "They don't want to play with me. They probably feel uncomfortable around me. Why don't you go with them? I'll go around Beijing alone."
How could that be possible? She couldn't let Tong Zhongyuan be alone in a foreign country.
That day, she and Tong Zhongyuan visited the Forbidden City and Shichahai.

Tong Zhongyuan looked down at her. Her little face, looking towards the roof beams, was emitting a confident and bright glow.

"Or let's go back to the hotel," he said casually, "or come to my room first."
