Chapter 150 Priceless Jade 1

Today, Minglan was meticulously dressed. She wore a vibrant long dress, her makeup exquisite, and she looked radiant and captivating. When she saw Li Baolong standing there intently admiring the large rocks, she gracefully walked towards him. Upon reaching him, Minglan's lips curved into a charming smile, and she softly said to Li Baolong, "Mr. Li, seeing how focused you are on these large rocks, you must be quite interested in them."

Li Baolong nodded in agreement and replied, "Yes, I am quite interested. In my opinion, we should be able to cut out some high-quality jade from here."

Minglan continued, "To be honest, these large stones were personally selected and placed here by my father when our jade market opened. It's been ten years since then! The largest stone is priced at a full fifty million; while the smaller ones are each priced at thirty million Chinese yuan."

After a moment's thought, Li Baolong said, "If the price is reasonable, I'm interested in buying it today and cutting it open to see what's inside."

Upon hearing this, Minglan's eyes lit up, and she said enthusiastically, "Since Mr. Li is willing to cut open this prized piece of our jade mall today, then I, this humble woman, will have to reluctantly part with it and offer you a special discount. How about this, the largest stone can be yours for only forty million!"

Upon hearing this, Li Baolong nodded without hesitation and replied, "Okay, it's settled then, deal! However, I don't have that much cash on me, so I'll have to trouble your store to send two employees and prepare a car to accompany me to the hotel to collect the money."

Li Baolong strode steadily into the hotel lobby. After entering his room and glancing around to make sure no one was watching, he had a thought. A flash of light appeared, and two heavy boxes materialized before him. These boxes contained priceless treasures—two whole boxes of gleaming gold! A rough estimate put the gold at over a hundred kilograms.

Immediately afterward, Li Baolong took out two more boxes. This time, they were filled with stacks of crisp new US dollars, each stack neatly arranged. A rough count revealed approximately four million US dollars! Looking at the mountain of wealth before him, Li Baolong secretly estimated that it should be enough. So, he took out his phone and dialed Minglan's number downstairs, asking her to send her four strong bodyguards upstairs to help move these valuables.

Not long after, four bodyguards came running upstairs, panting. They stared wide-eyed at the boxes filled with gold and US dollars on the floor, their faces full of shock. But they quickly regained their composure and, following Li Baolong's instructions, carefully carried the boxes to the car that had been waiting downstairs.

The car sped along, quickly arriving at the jade market. Li Baolong carried the precious goods straight into Minglan's office. Once inside, he unhesitatingly opened two boxes filled with gold and two others filled with US dollars. Instantly, the room glittered with gold and bills flew everywhere—a truly breathtaking scene!

Cai Lun and Chen Zu, who had been observing quietly from the sidelines, were now dumbfounded. They never expected that this seemingly young Li Baolong would possess such astonishing wealth. They exchanged a glance, secretly marveling, "This Brother Li may be young, but his strength is truly not to be underestimated! It seems we must cultivate a good relationship with him in the future." Minglan, standing to the side, beamed with joy, saying sweetly, "Mr. Li, you are truly generous! Our jade market has been open for ten years, and you are our customer with the highest single transaction amount!"

Faced with the praise and amazement of the crowd, Li Baolong simply smiled and humbly replied, "I only hope that this largest stone can bring me good luck and allow me to cut out a top-quality jadeite." After saying that, he stared intently at the giant rough stone that was regarded as the store's prized possession, as if he could already see the priceless treasure hidden inside it.

After Li Baolong and Minglan signed the agreement to purchase the raw stone, they began having people move it to the large cutting machine in the backyard. Dozens of strong men, using tools, moved the four- or five-ton stone to the cutting machine. Three craftsmen then carefully began cutting the scraps.

At midday, the sun beat down fiercely on the earth. Minglan had meticulously prepared a sumptuous feast to warmly welcome her three distinguished guests: Li Baolong, Chen Zu, and Cai Lun. The group sat around the table, chatting and laughing in a harmonious atmosphere.

Just as everyone was enjoying the food, Li Baolong suddenly put down his chopsticks, looked at Minglan with a smile, and asked, "Miss Minglan, do you know a Chinese man named Huang Jian? He seems to be here in Myanmar doing jade business."

Minglan was slightly taken aback. After thinking for a moment, she shook her head and replied, "I'm sorry, Mr. Li, I don't know this Mr. Huang. But don't worry, if there's a chance, I can ask the mine owners below me if they know him."

Upon hearing this, Li Baolong's face immediately showed gratitude, and he quickly said, "Thank you so much, Miss Minglan! If we can get information about Huang Jian, it will be of great help to my business."

After lunch, the group returned to the jade cutting site. By then, about a third of the huge stone had been cut away, but unfortunately, there was still no trace of jade.
