Honghong looked at Li Baolong, smiled charmingly, and said something that startled him: "If you really want to thank me, Baolong, why don't you take me home later?" Li Baolong wondered to himself, this Honghong is his cousin's girlfriend, what does she mean by this request? He hesitated for a moment, but quickly replied: "Taking you home is no problem, I'm your employee, it's my duty."
On the way home with Honghong, moonlight spilled onto the street, casting dappled shadows. Honghong gently took Li Baolong's arm, the faint scent of her perfume lingering in his nostrils. Li Baolong's heart began to race involuntarily, but he tried to remain calm.
“Baolong, do you know? Ever since your cousin left, I’ve always felt a bit lonely,” Honghong said softly, her voice tinged with melancholy.
Li Baolong didn't know how to respond, so he just mumbled, "Sister Honghong, don't overthink it. I'll be here for you."
When they arrived at Honghong's building, Honghong stopped and looked directly at Li Baolong: "Baolong, thank you for today. Come up and sit for a while, and talk to your sister?"
